Old furniture, dirty walls. Overall, the rooms and the hotel needs a better maintenance. Gym (you can’t name that a gym) is too small and not equipped so good.

WiFi was not the best. For overseas customers it might be an issue if you want to connect to their WiFi to communicate with family back home. Pool was not heated.

Property was very modern and clean. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Rooms weee a good size and the beds were large and comfortable. Our room had a great view of the pool.

The bed was so uncomfortable. We couldn’t sleep at night and even staying there by day wasn’t so pleasant. But if you will fix the mattress and do a bit of maintenance on the rooms, it would really improve the overall experience."

The service was amazing. All the reception staff were extremely helpful with many things we needed assistance with, especially Vasily, who made numerous phone calls on our behalf. One receptionist stood out in particular — unfortunately, we forgot her name, but she had curly blonde hair. She was truly exceptional in her kindness and went above and beyond for us.

Despite the reviews given prior to our stay, we couldn't fault the hotel. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating. Special mention to Giannis, who really made our stay very good. If we visit Iaonnina again, we will definitely co e back again. Thank you Essence Hotel.

The room was good enough, but there was the smell of mold could be felt, especially in the sink pipes in the bathroom. And the air-conditioner in the room was not functional. And imagine, there were a hotter day during two ours day in Joaninna. Breakfast not good enough. We waited something like bacon and boiled or fried eggs, any tomatoes, cucumber, any piece of excellent Greece cheese and not food like Croissants and dry food.

Staff was very hostable, especially the girls of reception. I would thanks the girl that was afternoon working. Eleni. She was very useful for us and helped us so much with information. Anyway, all the workers of the hotel were very hostable. And the ambient was very quite and comfortable.

"We stayed in Essence Hotel just for one night on our way to Kefalonia, but were truly impressed. The receptionist kindly waited for us until 4 a.m. as our trip was delayed, which meant a lot. The rooms need to be updated and refreshed, broken fridges, ruined decor, threadbare towels, stained and not overly clean. The pool is offered to the local children for €10 for the day, meaning that the pool is overrun by teenagers screaming and pushing each other into the pool, the shaded areas are taken and it's at detriment to the guests staying there. At night the local youths descend on the hotel and use the patio area at the side of the rooms like some youth club till the early hours - meaning guests cannot sleep! They seem to have the interests of the local youths at heart over the guests who have paid hundreds of pounds to stay here! It is definitely not a 4 star hotel! Wouldn't recommend

Catfished, photos dont match the real condition of the rooms. Toilet door had no keys. Very poor amenities in the bathroom due to the fact that they consider themselves a 4 star hotel. There was unpleasant smell from the lockers. Furniture were old. Absolutely not a good value for the price we paid.

Where to start..... 1. Terribly uncomfortable soft bed. My husband has extra kg, when he sat on the bed I was falling to a ditch. Couldn't sleep for 2 nights in the raw. I was only able to sleep when they changed it to 2 single beds, which were very small and again soft. 2. Dirty! The cleaning of the room is very poor, I add the photos here. Dust on the lamp, dirty table, not to mention the bathroom peed wall or dirt. The room was also damaged and had bad paint jobs, or broken elements. It was like a bunch of people came and had a very good party there. 3. No comforter only blanket (i wonder if they even wash it for every customer). When we asked comforter we heard that our clients do not want the comforter because the conditioner is overheating 😅 so the room had 27 degrees. After 2days we got the comforter but the bed sheet wasn't big enough and it was sticking out. 4. Breakfast was poor and sad and seemed low quality, not even nutella available. Coffee was one of the worst from all the 4* hotels I have been to. This is not a 4 star hotel! This is a joke. They even put one toilet paper in the room and the paper holder was installed 5 cm above the floor.😅. Paper was such a low quality it was not enough for 3h. I overpaid for this stay. Because they doubled the price due to NYE. It cost me around 140euro per night. I was so devastated by the conditions. No comfort unfortunately. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only good thing about this hotel is the staff. People working at the reception were friendly and trying to be helpful and cover for the bad decisions of management that lower quality of first use products. They also offered a dinner as compensation, but we didn't use it.
