Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe restaurant area was very hot during the day so difficult to eat lunch/have drinks there.given it was so remote, a few onsite activities (kids pool game / yoga) would’ve been nice.
Lovely & remote, excellent beach access with gorgeous coves to explore.

United StatesI liked everything
I chose Finikas Hotel because it a little further from the heavily tourist areas of Naxos and they have a wonderful big salt water pool to swim in. The beach was right in front of the hotel. I wanted to decompress and this was the ideal place. Nearby were several gorgeous sandy beaches like Aliko that I cycled to but can also be done by foot. The hotel is beautifully laid out with great taste and the palm trees are huge, the grounds are very well kept. My room was spotless, a bottle of wine was chilling as a welcome gift, very comfortable bed. I look forward to come back.

United KingdomShower not that high pressure but not a big problem
A lovely relaxing hotel in the perfect location to escape the busier beaches. Light, modern family room with plenty of space, everything was kept clean and the gardens and pool were beautifully maintained. Loved the beach with its own daybeds. Really friendly staff.

United KingdomFor me, the spa area wasn’t very appealing, and the sauna and hot tub were inside, and you had to ask for it to be turned on and set up about 45 mins before you wanted to use it. It would have been better to have a hot tub outside to enjoy the gorgeous views. The other disappointment for our teenager was the gym, which was very basic and the equipment wasn’t working properly. It’s also a salt water swimming pool which was very salty, we would have preferred a fresh water pool, especially as you had the sea a 2 minute walk away.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was very clean, the staff were exceptional and nothing was ever too much for them. Our son has a nut allergy and at breakfast they made him his own pastry’s kept aside from everyone else’s and brought them out separately for him. The hotel was really peaceful and relaxing, with a lovely calm feeling, I would highly recommend if you don’t want to be in the main areas and are happy to drive to places. You definitely need a car to explore the island from this location, it’s about a 1/2 drive to the town but saying that there are plenty of lovely restaurants and stunning beaches close by, the food in the hotel restaurant was also very good, and very fresh one of the nicest we visited on the island.

SwitzerlandWe booked a sea view suite, that had no view on the sea, only on the pool. We were told to go on the balcony and look left to see the sea. Next time I will sleep on the balcony... Which may not be a bad idea as the bed, and worst the pillows, were very hard, which did not allow us to sleep the first night. It was partly solved on the second night and my back healed with a one hour massage.
We enjoyed very much staying in this hotel just in front of the beach. It is located south of the island at the end of a road with very little traffic. The impression is magic and the view stunning. The beach is sandy, while the sea has rocks. The room is big. The staff was very nice and professionnal (the two nieces of the owners).

United KingdomThe beach was convenient but so windy and quite pebbly. But this didn’t affect us much because we liked to go out and explore too and there were some other beaches nearby that you could walk or cycle or drive to which were about 15mins away and were sandy.
It was very clean, a lovely shower and balcony with a sea view. The spa was convenient to use after a long day out to soak muscles in the jacuzzi. A brilliant hotel restaurant for easy breakfast. A beautiful family run property that were so kind and helpful during our stay. Even sometimes dropped or picked us up from local locations when we didn’t have transport organised last minute. I also loved how clean the pool was and was so conveniently close to our room so you could always go back and forth and leave your Sun lounger for a few mins if needed.

United StatesThe hotel is a good 30min drive from Naxos Port (where all of the action is). We had a rental car which I would highly recommend if you want to explore the island. During our 2 night stay in Naxos, we left the hotel after breakfast to explore the island, the beautiful beaches and have dinner around Naxos Port, and drove back at night for a good sleep in a very relaxing, clean and comfortable room at Finikas. Finikas feels more remote for those seeking action walking distance from the hotel; but for those seeking calm and quiet from the noise and don't mind driving 30 mins to visit the action, this is a great property to stay at in Naxos.
Finikas Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel looking over the ocean. It is a family owned business whose staff go above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable and cared for. The hotel itself is charming and warm. We stayed in a recently renovated room where I had the best sleep out of all 6 hotels I stayed at during our family trip. This property is ideal for those looking for a calm, relaxing and affordable hotel with a private beach.

United StatesUnfortunately, I had a negative experience at the pool bar with a rude female waiter. After I requested a skinny margarita, I overheard her at the bar making fun of me to the bartender and other hotel guests, suggesting I was inventing the drink. This behavior made me feel uncomfortable, but otherwise, the rest of the staff was great.
Finikas Hotel was fantastic overall. The front desk team and the hotel manager were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless, and even when we extended our stay and moved to a new room, it was just as clean. The beachfront location added to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

FranceInitial room didn't meet expectations, however the resort staff was very nice and accommodating and agreed to transfer us into a much better suite, which was a great improvement. The resort itself doesn't have any public lounges or lobby which was a bit disappointing.
Great beach and resort, also very nice breakfast. The pool, gym, atmosphere and serenity were very satisfying. Staff was very nice and friendly and was quick to respond to all requests and questions.

United StatesWe were there at the end of the season so they were running out of items like wines on the menu & other menu items. We couldn't get a cappuccino at breakfast the last 2 days, only normal coffee was available.
Overall this was a fantastic experience! We loved our stay here and the location. The beach across the road was a favorite where we spent many hours. It was nice to be able to order food/drinks from the pool bar and get them delivered to us at the beach loungers. The staff was amazing during our stay. Our room was nothing short of amazing and the bed was comfortable. We had 90 min massages at the Spa and they were top notch! Local restaurants nearby as well, but not really in walking distance, which was fine as we had a car.

South AfricaThe spa could be improved, one has to book to use hot tub and sauna at extra cost, and it's a limited space that should be expanded. Restaurant menu was very limited, the dishes were great but none were Greek styled. For a 3 night stay some variety would be beneficial if one didn't want to venture out
Great place to escape the world, feels like a bit of paradise with direct access to beautiful beaches. Our room was a divine peaceful space, beautifully arranged and decorated! Staff incredibly helpful, make every effort to check on details and support with arrangements. We booked massages which were excellent and preferred times were accommodated. We booked transfers to the hotel but could take the Naxos bus back to the ferry to the port which stops directly outside the hotel 3 excellent restaurants within a 15 minute walk. Hotel breakfast was extensive buffet and offered a big variety every day

FranceThe only useful comment I can out here would be: an ATM.
Absolutely with out a doubt amazing, beautiful, quiet, one of a kind, no words can truly describe it, perfect boutique, luxurious and down to earth all roled into one hotel Finikas and Pyrgaki. The ultimate calm, relax, zen. Even before I arrived client service staff Anathanisos was in direct contact assisting me with all the info and answers to my questions. Upon the moment of my arrival to check out, Anathansios, all the staff and director Marinas were absolutely amazing , so attentive, bending over backwards to ensure my stay was perfect and all my needs were met. As a solo traveller in this very remote location (without a car) having such an attentive but very discrete, lovely, truly happy, and friendly staff is indispensable as they are the only people you interact with all day (and even the other guests were just lovely). The hotel location: a dream. An isolated paradise. The ultimate relax, disconnect, nature, unspeakable beauty, quiet. A true paradise in the middle of nowhere with the most beautiful beaches ( both rocky and sandy beaches). An endless view of the sea and the mountains. This beautiful quiet boutique hotel is hard to describe: absolute class and luxury (without the snob or the cold) at the same time so down to earth and very cool. The two hotel penthouse suites with jacuzzi with frontal sea view: the views are mind-blowing, so tastefully decorated and enormous. The recently renovated is absolutely gorgeous but the two side balconies are a bit smaller and it would be nice to have a chaise lounge by the jacuzzi. But the picture window is mesmerising. The other suite with kitchen front view balcony penthouse is equally lovely but could use a touch of updating to be more like the other. Only bad point: The master suite bed needs to be replaced. Like sleeping on a creaking stone slab. But otherwise: Sublime. Always spectacularly clean and well serviced. Pool, Bar, Food: The bar, food, both snack menu and dinner menu are top shelf!
