Lovely & remote, excellent beach access with gorgeous coves to explore.

The restaurant area was very hot during the day so difficult to eat lunch/have drinks there.given it was so remote, a few onsite activities (kids pool game / yoga) would’ve been nice.

I chose Finikas Hotel because it a little further from the heavily tourist areas of Naxos and they have a wonderful big salt water pool to swim in. The beach was right in front of the hotel. I wanted to decompress and this was the ideal place. Nearby were several gorgeous sandy beaches like Aliko that I cycled to but can also be done by foot. The hotel is beautifully laid out with great taste and the palm trees are huge, the grounds are very well kept. My room was spotless, a bottle of wine was chilling as a welcome gift, very comfortable bed. I look forward to come back.

    I liked everything

A lovely relaxing hotel in the perfect location to escape the busier beaches. Light, modern family room with plenty of space, everything was kept clean and the gardens and pool were beautifully maintained. Loved the beach with its own daybeds. Really friendly staff.

Shower not that high pressure but not a big problem

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was very clean, the staff were exceptional and nothing was ever too much for them. Our son has a nut allergy and at breakfast they made him his own pastry’s kept aside from everyone else’s and brought them out separately for him. The hotel was really peaceful and relaxing, with a lovely calm feeling, I would highly recommend if you don’t want to be in the main areas and are happy to drive to places. You definitely need a car to explore the island from this location, it’s about a 1/2 drive to the town but saying that there are plenty of lovely restaurants and stunning beaches close by, the food in the hotel restaurant was also very good, and very fresh one of the nicest we visited on the island.

For me, the spa area wasn’t very appealing, and the sauna and hot tub were inside, and you had to ask for it to be turned on and set up about 45 mins before you wanted to use it. It would have been better to have a hot tub outside to enjoy the gorgeous views. The other disappointment for our teenager was the gym, which was very basic and the equipment wasn’t working properly. It’s also a salt water swimming pool which was very salty, we would have preferred a fresh water pool, especially as you had the sea a 2 minute walk away.

The hotel did not honor their promise to fully refund the last night of our stay as agreed to. We contested this and the hotel still refused to pay. It is/was very upsetting!

We enjoyed very much staying in this hotel just in front of the beach. It is located south of the island at the end of a road with very little traffic. The impression is magic and the view stunning. The beach is sandy, while the sea has rocks. The room is big. The staff was very nice and professionnal (the two nieces of the owners).

We booked a sea view suite, that had no view on the sea, only on the pool. We were told to go on the balcony and look left to see the sea. Next time I will sleep on the balcony... Which may not be a bad idea as the bed, and worst the pillows, were very hard, which did not allow us to sleep the first night. It was partly solved on the second night and my back healed with a one hour massage.

It was very clean, a lovely shower and balcony with a sea view. The spa was convenient to use after a long day out to soak muscles in the jacuzzi. A brilliant hotel restaurant for easy breakfast. A beautiful family run property that were so kind and helpful during our stay. Even sometimes dropped or picked us up from local locations when we didn’t have transport organised last minute. I also loved how clean the pool was and was so conveniently close to our room so you could always go back and forth and leave your Sun lounger for a few mins if needed.

The beach was convenient but so windy and quite pebbly. But this didn’t affect us much because we liked to go out and explore too and there were some other beaches nearby that you could walk or cycle or drive to which were about 15mins away and were sandy.

One lady at the reception was very nice and the view from the restaurant was amazing.

We booked Sea facing room. We were given pool facing room. When we complained they told us that the rooms were not available and that they will shift us the next day. We were shifted the next day but the ACs were not working. Lights were fused. Although, when we told them they gave us one more room and fixed one of the light. They desperately need to undergo maintenance. After the maintenance, it can be an amazing place.

    Property response:

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to respectfully clarify that the room you received upon arrival was exactly the type you had booked. Nevertheless, in good faith and at no extra cost, we upgraded you to a larger room in an effort to enhance your experience. The change was scheduled for the following day, as the upgraded room was not prepared for use at the time your request was made, and our housekeeping team had already completed their shift. We always strive to respect both our guests' needs and our staff's well-being. The second room was equipped with three fully functional air conditioning units — one of which simply required a settings adjustment, which was addressed. Regarding the lighting issue, it was not the main ceiling light but a bedside lamp that required technical attention, who was called and resolved the matter within 24 hours. Additionally, a second room was provided free of charge to ensure your comfort during your stay. We are genuinely sorry that your overall experience did not meet your expectations. However, we believe our team responded promptly and fairly, always with the aim of offering quality service.

Finikas Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel looking over the ocean. It is a family owned business whose staff go above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable and cared for. The hotel itself is charming and warm. We stayed in a recently renovated room where I had the best sleep out of all 6 hotels I stayed at during our family trip. This property is ideal for those looking for a calm, relaxing and affordable hotel with a private beach.

The hotel is a good 30min drive from Naxos Port (where all of the action is). We had a rental car which I would highly recommend if you want to explore the island. During our 2 night stay in Naxos, we left the hotel after breakfast to explore the island, the beautiful beaches and have dinner around Naxos Port, and drove back at night for a good sleep in a very relaxing, clean and comfortable room at Finikas. Finikas feels more remote for those seeking action walking distance from the hotel; but for those seeking calm and quiet from the noise and don't mind driving 30 mins to visit the action, this is a great property to stay at in Naxos.

Room was very spacious, Breakfast was excellent. All the staff were extremely helpful. I liked the mountain bikes that were available at no extra cost.

Perhaps the restaurant could have a more extensive menu.

The hotel location is remote close to the beach. Room 201 was a big 2 bedroom villa with balcony and jacuzzi facing the beach. Breakfast was excellent. Staff and service was also great.

Driving back to the hotel at night was difficult as well as going to the villages. The water was quite calm until the pass by speeding ferries brought extraordinary waves almost drowning our two teenage children bringing in two feet waves near the rocks. One phone ended up in the ocean causing monetary damage. Dinner at restaurant was not below the Taverna standard specially menu selection. Internet service was very bad. Mobile service in this area is very patchy. Jacuzzi was not working first time. Only one bathroom for 4 people. No nearby supermarket.

    Property response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Safety is always a top priority for us, and we take your concerns regarding water conditions very seriously. Generally, our seas are calm and do not experience large waves. Our hotel is located in the South West and the wind mostly comes from the North. However, sea conditions can vary, and we always advise exercising extra caution. Please note that on non-organized beaches, where there are no lifeguards or protective barriers, we cannot guarantee complete safety. We encourage all guests to remain vigilant and always prioritize safety. We regret the inconvenience caused by the jacuzzi and the mobile/internet service. Although mobile coverage in the area can be patchy due to its natural location, we strive to provide the best Wi-Fi service possible. Our team resolved the Wi-Fi issue as soon as it was reported, and according to your own confirmation, it was working properly after that. Regarding the accommodation, the listing clearly mentions the number of bathrooms and available amenities. We’re sorry if this wasn’t fully clear at the time of booking. As for the supermarket, while not located immediately nearby, our team is always happy to assist with directions or transportation and a supermarket is located just 2 minutes by car. Regarding the restaurant experience, we aim to provide authentic local cuisine and a traditional taverna-style setting. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with the restaurant team for improvement. We always strive to ensure a positive experience and thank you again for your comments, which help us grow and improve.
