How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewIt’s in a lovely location directly on the beach but you definitely need a car to get around if staying here. The decor and vibe of the hotel was very aesthetic and the rooms were so spacious! Our sea view room was stunning but the bathroom needs a bit of a refresh, lovely clarins products in the room which was a nice touch. The staff are friendly and willing to make the stay enjoyable, had lots of recommendations for boat tours, best beaches and restaurants. The pool area is lovely and the beach food menus / drinks were great - good hotel if you want to just relax and chill.
There could be more atmosphere in the evening it was quite quiet. We found the breakfast disappointing and it could really do with a refresh. Lacking fresh fruit, granola, yoghurts, pastries, fresh juices and sourdough etc. There were no hot buffet selections which we thought was crazy! The menu you can order from also needs improvement. Staying there for more than a few nights makes it so repetitive. Would’ve been great if there was a gym and spa to make it more of a 5 star experience. Lastly, being told we have to pay €45 for beds on the beach is ridiculous!! This should be included for hotel guests and only external guests should to charged. As the hotel is under new management I think it’s important to take these elements into account following renovations and improvements.

Verified reviewGreat hotel by the beach. Location is perfect, it is clean, the room was big and with a nice little terrace, and the entire staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone was smiling, breakfast was very nice, the swimming pool was a great joy for my 2 kids. We also enjoyed the massage and pilates options. Overall, we spent 10 great days as a family in Milos and Golden Milos Beach House was a great hotel for us for this vacation.

I find it quite pricey but also quality is good, personal was extremely nice and attentive There is a boat rental at the beach and you can easily go to nearby beaches on the south cost which are absolutely stunning
Hotel guest are charged for the sun beds at the beach 50 eur first 2 lines and 30 afterwards. That’s a steal Also the location is far from anything else so there’s not much on walking distance

Verified reviewThe breakfast options are good and you can customise the a la carte menu. The pool area and the beds are really nice and peaceful. The beach views were nice and the hotel has a restaurant and also a bar/cafe by the sea. The hotel manager (I think Vicki) went out of her way to help improve our stay which we appreciated. The chef in the kitchen was also incredibly sweet!
There is a cost to use the beds on the beach (even after the new management have taken over) - over €50 for the front rows and over €30 for the back rows if you are staying at the hotel (more for external guests). I’ve never seen any hotel in the world charging guests and thought the new management team would have taken this feedback onboard from previous guest reviews. There was no wifi when we arrived at the hotel. We asked for mugs to be sent to the room - nothing arrived for 30 minutes. Called reception back and spoke to Kiki who should not be allowed to be guest facing, extremely rude manner - she cut the phone on me and didn’t even apologise for the delay. The hotel was pretty empty throughout the day and although they are trying to make it better from the old management, it really lacks any soul or vibe. The staff are not attentive or friendly despite the venue being empty the service was slow and very basic. We could also smell sewage from our balcony, we had to move rooms at 3am because the pipe in the wall was making noise and there were ants in the room. Overall the standard of this hotel is not luxury or premium, there’s a real lack of attention to the guest experience, the finishing of the rooms and the quality of the service from the staff. So, I would not say it’s worth the price they are charging. The location is also very remote so you will definitely need a car as there is nothing around the hotel.

The hotel has an amazing beach club with luxurious sun beds, comfortable poufs upon a discounted rate for hotel guests along with fresh towels and a bottle of water. Personnel all over the hotel is available to pamper guests from special a la carte breakfast dishes to massage options at the gazebos in the wellness area and even a trainer who offers sunset yoga and aerobic free of charge!

Verified reviewWhat a gem! This hotel is a hidden paradise! Large, refurbished rooms with true sea view and amazing stylish public areas with vibrant vibes. The hotel is actually steps away from the golden sandy beach of Provatas with an incredibly organized beach club where they serve cocktails, drinks and delicious food from a food truck. Dinner at Milisio, the a la carte restaurant was also an experience! Upon my arrival I realized that the hotel bears the bad comments of the previous ownership and management, but has done a thorough refurbishment and rebranding.
