How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe sea is more than perfect if you are a sea-lover. The room is big and clean. The balcony is nice to seat and relax with beautiful view. The breakfast is enough and served for all types.
The only part I do not like is the street between the sea and the property. Other than that it is perfect.

The food was extremely disappointing and the staff at the restaurant were very rude. We only had one night, and therefore did not get an all-inclusive stay. Before we finished appetizers, the waitress was handing us a bill, which made us feel like we couldn’t order any additional a la carte items like drinks. The room was not clean, as we found ants, mold, and pieces of toilet paper on the ledge by the shower. The railing on the balcony was broken. The shower itself was awkward and poorly designed. Overall very disappointed with the experience.

Verified reviewThe worse hotel experience I had in Greece. The hotel is very uphill and no one propose to pick u up or to drop you “although they had some sort of golf cars”. Breakfast was so bad that I had to pay extra in order to eat else where. The food looked and tasted like expired consumption date. The staff was not at all helpful , they were talking to multiple people at the same time , not concentrating on one client at the time. It was very chaotic. At the end we asked for a taxi to pick us up they said they will let us know when the taxi will arrive , but no one did . Thankfully we were checking regularly and we found the taxi in frond of the hotel. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.Usually I never write review ,but I felt like this is necessary.

The breakfast did not meet my expectations. It was poor quality and the scrambled eggs didn’t taste good. Also I didn’t like how the bags were stored because anybody could have taken our bag and nobody would have noticed. It would be better to label the bags by room number and then somebody from the staff brings the bags out.

Verified reviewlocation is amazing, the pools are super, room was quite big, some people of staff were kind and polite.
food at dinner was quite bad, breakfast was ok. water shall be served not self-spilled from plastic water tanks too many birds and some hygiene issue related to this. high chairs for kids too dirty. room was not cleaned often the uphill walk may result hard for some untrained person

The location is really poor we waited 1hr 40 mins for a taxi in to the centre. The hotel is up a hill and taxi’s are extremely limited on the island, the hotel really could do with a shuttle bus service. The location really spoilt the holiday, and we came home a day early. Bedding was really uncomfortable, also unless you go all inclusive you’re knackered because there is no bars or restaurants near by to get food unless you go in to the centre. We had to ask for sun beds are there was not enough around the pools, and this was every day. The hotel menu for room service is very limited too, I would not recommend this hotel and it has put me off returning to kardamaina.

Verified reviewThis is my second stay in kardamena but first time in this beautiful hotel compare it with the other one I regretted that I didn’t know grand blue before , I liked everything the room size ,location , the staff from reception to housekeeping to buggy drivers to server in the restaurant they are keeping smiling even the restaurant in the morning were full for a breakfast but they are serving keeping eyes to details , my experience with the reception were great I can’t remember the names 😊but both ladies were helpful I forgot my key inside the room and within 5 min she sent me someone to help me , there’s two swimming pools in the beach area there’s a place belonging to the hotel …..it’s just lovely I needed to escape from coldness and my stay were just amazing
