The place was perfectly located for parking or staying in town. We loved the staff so much - all were so helpful - Helen, Marina, Athanassios (sp?). We loved our stay.

This is a world class hotel in the heart of old town Nafplio. It’s a late 17th century building recently renovated yet preserving the old traditional charm. Exceptionally well done. Anasathios and his staff were incredible in their hospitality and service—just outstanding kindness shown to my family of six. The rooms (we had two) were beautifully appointed) and the breakfasts wonderful. They happily accommodated a late change in our reservations, helped with luggage, parking and local knowledge that made this two night stay one of our very best in several trips to Greece! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Impeccable quality. The staff is amazing—very kind, courteous, helpful, friendly and supportive. This is a beautiful, world class, charming hotel at an amazing value! Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing. It wasn't the exceptional spread we had anticipated. What made it worse was that the staff member spent most of the time on her phone. Rather than welcoming guests, clearing tables, or offering to serve coffee or fresh orange juice, she was disengaged, which negatively impacted the overall breakfast experience.

Our room at the Grand Sarai was very nice, and we especially liked the updated bathroom. We also found the hotel to be clean and the reception staff very kind.

Loved the location, beauty and history of this gem of a hotel. The staff lead by Marina, Elena, Eleni, Youla and everyone here made our stay incredible. The room, clean, spacious, newly renovated bathroom with a large balcony on 2nd floor. Friendly and helpful in every way, the staff made our week here very special. Breakfast was incredible also with many home made offerings like spanakopita and a great range. Thank you for an amazing experience, this is a must stay for anyone visiting Nafplio!

Lovely hotel in the historical heart of the city, and built on the core of a very old structure (completely updated, of course). Close to many cafes and shops and an easy walk to the beach.

Old building which means it’s a bit thin-walled. Earplugs are provided for the light sleepers.

I liked everything about it - it is so convenient has a great continental breakfast, and updated rooms with power showers. There is nothing to dislike for a room in Greece

The staff and owner went above and beyond to accommodate my requests from a late breakfast in my room to helping me work out a car rental with his friend in town. The hotel is super charming and in the best, most walkable location in Nafplio. I would highly recommend it for its ease, charm, and personality! I would stay again.

Bathroom a little small but nit picking

Wonderful hotel. Lovely room - we were in 303 with a balcony and fantastic view over the town and bay. Great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. This is a beautiful old building with character and charm. We loved it. We are retired and we don’t find the walk up a problem at all. It is flat from the street near the fire station where we parked into the last part where there are steps up to the hotel. As a bonus the Air conditioning quietest we have had.

Not a dislike as such but just be prepared for the uneven steps up and down from where you can park your car! Bathroom is small but very functional and a lovely shower.

The staff were so friendly. Room was cool and quiet. We were able to sleep with the shutters closed but windows open.

The steep steps that you had to negotiate from the town to the entrance of the hotel. With a large suitcase, it was a bit of a challenge.

The style and cleanliness of the room . Also apart from the steps to get up to it from the town , its position was perfect, with great views from our room.

Excellent location. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. They even had gluten free options. It was beautifully decorated.
