Loved everything, the location, the owners. It is one of the best places in Hydra and if its available for your dates you should book it without a second thought. I have been to hydra 4 times and this was the best place I’ve stayed on the island

The shower tray was a bit slippery and I was a bit nervous and ultra cautious when I was using it, otherwise no complaints at all! The host was most helpful indeed and his local recommendations were perfect. I have already recommended the property to others, and will be returning to it myself.

The room we were in is literally on the street so you hear the occasional walk by conversation or horse and donkeys hooves. You can close the shutters for more privacy.

Clean lovely nice size room. Good water pressure. The host Panagiotis. took our bags and stored them for us as we arrived at 10am in hydra. Great neighborhood- try lemon tree cafe. Especially the spinach pie and great cappuccino. The owner took the time to show us local beaches and their distances from the guest house on a color map he gave us. Cute courtyard - looks like breakfast served at one time. The building itself is old and charming.

Both the host and housekeeper Ana were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and really made this feel like a very homely Greek family experience. Loved the stone walls and view onto the street.

It was all good. Especially the lovely courtyard.

Hydra is an expensive island and it is very difficult to find accommodation that doesn't cost an exorbitant amount. Guesthouse Alexandra surpassed our expectations - it was spotlessly clean, comfortable, in the perfect spot and was great value for money. We'd definitely say again and highly recommend to those not wanting to spend a small fortune for a room.

Everything was just perfect. The guest house is located in a very nice and quite street a few steps from the port, restaurants and shops…has a beautiful patio, rooms were perfectly clean, very nicely decorated and the beds extremely confortable! Panagiotis, the owner has been so nice the all time, she really cares about her guests being happy and satisfied. Strongly recommended!

Brilliant location, just a couple of minutes from the port. Beautiful stone house with central courtyard area, stylish comfortable rooms & lovely welcoming owner. Would highly recommend.

The rooms overlooking the street tend to be noisy. The windows can't be left open because of mosquitoes and because anyone from the street can come into the room if your room is on the ground floor. A mosquito netting on the windows would be nice to at least get some air in when you're in the room. The blinds, even when shut tend to filter some light in, so if you need darkness to sleep better, a sleeping mask is recommended ;) I'm personally not a fan of air conditioning, and I would have preferred having a ceiling fan.

The rooms and bathroom were spacious and very pretty. The beds were comfortable. There is a mini fridge and an electric kettle with tea and coffee. It's perfectly located, close to everything but far enough from the noise at the center. I would highly recommend it and I will definitely come back.

The Alexandra was in a great location minutes from the port but very quiet and peaceful. The room was perfect, great bed, super bathroom and everything very well done, tastefully furnished with a traditional feel. There is a lovely spacious courtyard with tables where guests can sit and drink their coffee etc. Panayiotis the owner, and Maria who did the room everyday could not have been more helpful and lovely. We will be returning for sure!

The only problem seemed to be poor soundproofing. Our room was looking to the street, and if you wanted to have your windows open you were able to hear everything that was going on outside just like if it was in your room.

Very helping hosts, told us everything about the island and offered some beaches to go and the best restaurants. Also, they checked us in a bit earlier. Comfortable and clean room, large bathroom (sleepers, soap, shampoo and shower gel provided). There's also some tea/coffee in your room and a big bottle of water in the fridge from the hotel. The location is just perfect, only 2 minutes walking from the port but not in a busy and loud street, all the restaurants and super markets are nearby. The first beach is about 7 minutes away.
