Everything was good!

Very nice hotel with all amenities, clean and in the center of the village, at a walking distance of everything of interest (lion fountain) and good restaurants. Very warm and caring welcome by the host.

We were met by the friendly owner who encouraged us to attend a local festival in the evening. We’re so glad we did, this will be a highlight of our holiday. The hotel is in a really pretty setting and is spotlessly clean.

Wonderful peaceful location. Our host is lovely, the breakfast was amazing. Fresh toast and incredible homemade jams + freshly squeezed orange juice.

Staff who genuinely look after you, including washing down the thick layer of red dust from the car after an unusually heavy Sahara dust storm. Friendly, accommodating, comfortable, clean. Close to Maravel Gardens.

Absolutely nothing.

This stay was totally 'out of this world', not only for the beautiful views from the balcony of our room, but also for more practical aspects, such as the warm and genuine welcome from Mr Papadakis, the comfort of the room, the excellent Wifi - with plenty of plug sockets! - constant hot water and a shower with powerful water pressure. And as for the breakfast the next morning ... choose the full works to enjoy an astonishing variety of home made jams (including lemon, fig and quince), fresh yogurt and local walnuts! This was served by the delightful Mrs Papadakis in the shade of the garden, and the peace and quiet added greatly to the experience. My husband wanted to do a short 1-2 hour walk in the vicinity having done the Patsos Gorge the day before, and Mr Papadakis was only too happy to offer him a suggestion, with a fully-annotated map (in English!) which was easy to follow, and my husband walked it before breakfast and returned safely and with a camera full of photographs. We were treated royally and could not have wished for more .. or better. Thank you for a stay that will stay in our memories for all the right reasons!

Wonderful local B&B, our room was as described, spotless, balcony with nice views, great location a 5 minute walk to centre of town. Staff went out of their way to welcome us. Heracles was a warm and friendly host who makes sure you are comfortable. A very nice local experience, recommend if you are seeking a small, quiet, local accommodation.

A charming family run hotel in the centre of Spili. We loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. We were warmly greeted by Heracles and had lovely and informative exchanges with him during our stay. It was so nice to learn more about Spili and the history of the hotel from him. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found our room to be spacious, well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We also appreciated having a balcony with gorgeous views over Spili. The hotel is very centrally located and it was easy to explore the town on foot. I highly recommend it. Thank you Heracles for your warm hospitality! We hope to return on our next trip!

Heracles is the warmest and most soft spoken person we met on the trip. We were warmly greated and made feel like guests at someone’s house. Also he kindly let us checkout later as we went for a hike in the morning and desperately needed a shower before getting on our way.

Nothing, really! Parking is a bit tight but that's probably true across Crete.

Heracles and his staff are incredibly helpful and friendly - Heracles provided me with his own handwritten maps for local walks and advice on where to see the best flowers. The homemade jams and fresh eggs, orange juice etc at breakfast were delicious.
