How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat to escape the tourist hub! Food was incredible. Hosts were so very lovely. View was wonderful. Room was huge, with very comfy bed. Shared terrace was shady and had a fabulous view. Beach a 5 minute walk down a quiet road. Lovely beach.

Verified reviewThis is a truly authentic Greek experience, beginning with the welcome 'gliko' and glass of home made lemonade and moving on to the delightful family who own and run the hotel. The food was like nowhere else you will eat in Greece, I will return just for that. The gardens are an oasis of flowers and trees in the midst of the rugged landscaped, the views spectacular. It is in a very remote position, but that added to our experience rather than detracting from it.
Our room was very, very basic and certainly not in line with any of those shown on the website. Hold out for a superior room, they are much nicer. We were unable to sit out on our huge verandah because of a pine tree, shedding sap and attracting flies, bees and wasps in their dozens.

Verified reviewAbsolute serene location with great views and beautifully rustic landscaping. Lovely terrace on which to unwind. Very private rooms with their own terraces… very comfortable inside the rooms too. But what really makes this place special is the warmth with which you are received by the hosts—and of course they amazing food and drinks they make for you :) Remote and wild beach 5mins walk away too!

Verified reviewAmazing hospitality, quiet location close to the beach. Great value for money. Very relaxing terraces in the rooms, extremely clean place.
Structure is popular among families with kids and sadly not always these guests are respectful. Same if your smoking neighbours start to pollute the freshness of your room- you end up sleeping with closed doors and windows. Not hotel's fault of course, I'd just rather enjoy pure air than smoke from terrace of disrespectful guests.

Verified reviewA wonderfully authentic and old world hotel situated on the coast approx 30 mins from Naxos Port. Some of the best food we had in Greece, all sourced from the family’s garden. Highly recommend.

Verified reviewIt's truly a magical experience staying here! Hara and Marianna were absolutely incredible and made our stay so special. Their love and kindness was truly felt through all the small touches. The property is gorgeous and perfectly serene. The dinner we had at the property was up there as one of our favourite meals of the entire trip. Could not provide a more glowing recommendation – don't hesitate, book it!
No notes for improvement!

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at this charming family-run hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, treating us more like family than guests. The food was authentic, delicious, and made with love directly from the gardens to our table. Every meal was a home-cooked treat. The seasonal fruits directly from their trees. If you’re looking for a cozy place with genuine care and outstanding cuisine, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended! It was well worth the drive to this calm small village. We wish we had stayed a bit longer.

Verified reviewWe loved our stay at Petrino Hotel. The place is remote (but only 25 minutes from the city) which makes it a place of idyllic tranquility and peace. The garden and terraces are very charming, and the view is beautiful. The family is so lovely and makes sure your stay is divine. The two sisters who take care of everything are beautiful and extremely kind, gentle and caring, which makes us feel really privileged. The super nice mother is cooking dinner and it’s to die for and mainly made with organic products from the garden. We dine there on a beautiful terrace with a splendid view. Haven of peace. The rooms are super comfortable and spacious. What a magical place! Thanks to the whole family, to the father who built that amazing gem and kisses to the children and Loulou from Noah

Verified reviewWe had such a great stay at Petrino. We loved every minute of it! It's a family run business, and everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, we felt very comfortable. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard , and beds were made every day, as well as the floors. The highlight for us was the incredible dinner we were served. I would highly recommend booking the dinner. It's a 4 course meal with homemade organic wine , and homemade liqueurs. The ingredients in the meals are mainly from their own garden , or locally sourced. Authentic, and clean flavours. Best meals we had so far on our trip through Greece!!! We are so grateful to have experienced this.
Nothing. It's a gem !!!!

Verified reviewWe had an extraordinary stay at Petrino. Just a 5-minute walk from a pristine and uncrowded beach, the location couldn’t have been more perfect. The dinner on the lovely terrace was a dream come true—delicious and perfectly prepared. The rooms were impeccably clean and incredibly welcoming. However, what made our stay truly special was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel at ease from the moment we arrived until the day we left. We can’t recommend Petrino highly enough! 10/10!

Verified reviewPetrino is run by a lovely family. Location is quiet and out of the way, but that's exactly what we wanted. Nice little beach and a great Taverna a short walk down the hill. Absolutely delicious dinners at a reasonable price. Room was very spacious, simple but spotlessly clean.
The only negative is that we wish we'd booked for more than three nights!

Verified reviewAbove and beyond our expectations. Cannot praise our stay enough! From the location, to the family, to the food, everything was amazing! We ate dinner with them our entire stay as it was too good to go anywhere else, traditional homemade cooking, cooked by their mother with a different menu each night with a stunning view to go with it, best food we’ve had! Cannot recommend enough, we will 100% be back!!
Couldn’t fault it!

Verified reviewPetrino was the real highlight of our trip. We had a very nice, large room with a king-size bed and a terrace with a sea view. Petition is beautifully situated and shaded by mulberry trees, flowers, and fragrant fig trees. We were most touched by the extremely warm-hearted service provided by the whole family, which left nothing to be desired. Petrino provides a hearty breakfast and/or dinner with delicious local specialties in the evening. We would love to stay again!

Incredible views and the patio where we had our homemade dinner was just something very special altogether. Lulu, the family doggo even joined us for a walk to the beach in the morning. Just a beautiful place and people.

Verified reviewAdorable and quaint bed and breakfast with a beautiful view. We LOVED the dinners there - everything is fresh and local from their garden, and you can really taste it. The room was basic but had everything we needed (including AC), and the outdoors area had a loverly view of the ocean. The family that runs this place is super nice, super accommodating. Plus they have a very sweet dog who welcomes you everyday.
bed a bit hard, but not too bad
