Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceThe only problem was the WiFi range, which actaully did not worked on my room (number 31) on any of my devices (mobile, laptop). The signal is very poor and there were continues disconnection on the rare occasions that i managed to connect.
Its a very nice and quiet location, with amazing view to the beach. Very close to Patitiri (walking distance less than 10 mins). The breakfast was great, with many options to choose from and could be served on room!!! The welcome was also very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Even if parking was not available, there was not a problem to park our car on a very close distance.

United KingdomGreat location with uninterrupted views of the big blue. Great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed and waking up to a home cooked breakfast on the terrace, served so nicely, you’d think your loving mother is serving it. Delicious like all the food we had on the beautiful island. And I’m a fussy Greek… I can’t say enough about the very attentive owners who made sure to make our visit very comfortable. Thank you! 🙏 Should we be visiting the island again, we know where we’ll be staying.

This really is the perfect place to stay on the island. The owner and the staff are soooooo kind and beautiful humans. We felt super welcome from the moment we got there. They also gave us many very good recommendations for the island. The room was big enough and super clean with a very comfy bed. The view from the room and the balcony was stunning. Never felt more comfortable in a room. You can choose from a wide range of breakfast choices every day, which they prepare for you freshly every morning. Everything was super delicious. The port is just a couple of stairs down with the best restaurant on the island. To make it even more perfect this place is eco friendly and very sustainable.

United KingdomNot a lot really. One small thing was that there was information in our hotels rooms about a few things including onsite massage, but we didn't find this until our last day as it was in a draw in the dresser. It would have been nice to been advised of this on arrival. But a minor thing!
Ioanna, Maria and the staff were exceptional in all respects. Maria, in particular, was very helpful in organising and suggesting places to visit, to eat, to visit, and often contacted people on our behalf. Ikion is postioned looking out over the sea, just on the north side of Patitiri town/port, with wonderful views out over pine trees and the sea to other islands. Breakfast could be taken on the terrace looking at these views and watching the swifts flying. Breakfast had various options/varieties, which covered most peoples requirements. Alonissos is a quiet island compared to it's neighbours, but Patitiri port and the old town have a variety of places to eat and drink. The old town is in the hills and has wondeful views/sunsets.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like! We had an amazing time at the Ikion and on Alonnisos, which is a beautiful unspoilt quiet island, and we really didn’t want to leave.
We absolutely loved all of it! Perfect quiet location a short walk from the centre of Patitiri with outstanding sea views. We were greeted warmly by the lovely Maria on arrival with a welcoming glass of home-made lemonade with lemons from the tree in the courtyard. She then told us about the best places to visit and eat. We had booked a standard double room with sea view but as the hotel was quiet, we were delighted to be upgraded to a super one-bedroom suite with sea view with a large living room, separate bedroom, well equipped en suite with lots of hot water, good water pressure and lovely toiletries plus a great balcony overlooking the terraces down to the sea. The huge double bed was so comfy and we slept really well. Slippers and bathrobes in the room were most welcome as was the large efficient fridge for cold drinks together with daily glass bottles of filtered water provided, fitting with the Eco theme so we didn’t need to buy plastic bottles of water. I contacted the hotel before we arrived to enquire if they had decaff coffee available and Maria had put a small jar in the room especially for me! Daily cleaning and regular changing of towels/bed linen and everywhere was spotless. Breakfast at Ikion was the best we have ever had. To save waste, there is no buffet but everything is prepared freshly to order with home-made or local products and you can choose as much as you want, what time you want it and where to eat it. We enjoyed a substantial breakfast of fresh juices, a choice of coffees, muesli with yoghurt, fruit and honey, pancakes, fresh bread with home-made jams and delicious home-made cake and freshly baked cheese pie/spinach and herb pies, which we saved for later as they were enormous. Maria was always cheerful, keen to know where we had been each day and so helpful particularly when we wanted to hire e-bikes and very tolerant of me practising my mimimal Greek! The parting gift of a pretty little bag of fresh sage was a lovely gesture.

Spotless rooms, comfy beds and also had robes and slippers which was a nice touch. We had our breakfast on our balcony every morning which was delicious. Close to the port, shops and restaurants.
