Only downside was the breakfast, was under the impression it would be a buffet style like the images showed, but instead it was a pretty basic selection delivered to your table (boiled egg, bread basket and selection of spreads etc). And all hot food was at an extra cost which was quite expensive.

However, there are some aspects that could be improved. The hotel does not have its own bar, which forces guests to bring drinks from outside. This is quite a limitation, especially when spending the day by the pool, where it would be very pleasant to order a drink directly from the sunbed. Breakfast is rather limited: Greek yogurt, fruit, small croissants, feta and ham. Anything beyond that comes with an extra charge. Moreover, the management is not entirely transparent—for example, dessert is included, but it is only served if explicitly requested. Room cleanliness was not up to standard: during our 6-night stay, the floors were never cleaned, the sheets were never changed, and in the last three days the shampoo and shower gel dispensers remained empty. In conclusion, the breathtaking view and the location make the experience special and memorable, but the services and attention to detail are not in line with the expectations of a hotel of this level.

We stayed in a superior double room with a caldera view, and the view was truly unique and exceptional. It is absolutely worth it: enjoying perhaps the most beautiful sunset on the island from such an intimate and private spot was an unforgettable experience. Waking up in the morning and finding such a breathtaking natural painting before your eyes is something that will stay with us forever.

I really don't have anything negative to say about the hotel, we enjoyed our stay. A few suggestions to consider is maybe to add some wall hooks or towel racks in the hotel rooms to hang wet towels and beachwear. Also, I thought it was great that the hotel reached out to me via Whatsapp before our stay, but didn't receive any reply when I tried to ask about transfer services.

The facilities were nice and modern, with a pool area with stunning views. The location of the hotel was good, very close to the few restaurants of Firostefani and a short walk of 15 minutes to Fira. The receptionist was very friendly. She gave us very good restaurant and cocktail bar suggestions which we enjoyed very much. We also really appreciated the possibility to stay at the pool after checking out and showering before leaving to the airport.

Breakfast was poor and server in a dark room without a view. The staff was very nice but not enough. When we arrived, there was no one to help us carry our luggage down all the stairs to our room and we had to do it ourselves while the receptionist watched.

The property felt slightly unfinished. Breakfast was pictured as buffet style however limited plates were bought to your table. There was no access to buy water or other drinks/food and you are required to leave the property to find this. It would have been nicer to at least be served in the lounge area with a view considering there was no buffet style breakfast.

The property is located high on the Caldera and gives you a breathtaking view of Fira, the cliff, the sea and surrounding islands. It’s in a quiet spot but still on walking distance from Fira. The walk via Firostefani is beautiful with cozy, stylish bars, shops and restaurants.

The pool could be warmed up a little bit and access to the bubbles could have been communicated better. The music could use a variety. The hotel could have volunteered more information about the city, sights, restaurant locations, travel tips, transportation etc. to help first time tourists navigate the area.

The view from our room and/or access to the balcony is the star of our stay. There is plenty of space in the pool lounge for us to enjoy. The location of our room provided privacy and accessibility. Breakfast is top notch and the hours are perfect for our stay. The staff are extremely helpful and accomodating.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ira hotel. The room was huge. There was a sitting area, bed area, an enormous shower area and separate sink and WC. Could have done cartwheels in the shower. The interior design was really lovely. The breakfast was quite good, served in a cave-style room. The pool was nice with an unobstructed view of the caldera. The hotel is in a quiet area about a 12 minute walk from the busy part of Fira. Be prepared for stairs. This is not a property for people with ambulatory disabilities, but then neither is most of the Cyclades.
