We really loved our 10 days stay at this hotel. We felt very welcomed and were very comfortable during the whole stay. The pool is really nice and also the sunbeds/loungebeds! We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast, (we haven’t had yoghurt that great during the rest of our trip in Greece) and also had several lunches at the hotel which were great as well. We travelled with a toddler and a seven year old and they appreciated the little playground on the property. The decorations around the hotel make the place extra special. The beach close to the only walkable restaurant is nice for snorkeling. It’s not for the smallest kids but fun for the rest of us. Finally, Spyros and his family and team are excellent hosts, they made our stay very special and also gave great suggestions, helped with pick up service and car rental. We could have stayed much longer, and hope to come back one day!

This is a wonderful hotel - fabulous setting on a quiet stretch of coast, with a very beautiful swimming pool, comfortable shady loungers, large cool rooms, delicious breakfasts ( don't miss the home-made jams!) and an exceptionally helpful and friendly host. Spiros couldn't have done more to make our stay an enjoyable one, with numerous taxis booked and helpful suggestions when asked. It's a family-run business with high standards but a very friendly touch. You could walk to a great taverna close by, and a beautiful fishing harbour village about 2.5 km away. We absolutely loved our holiday here.

There was nothing we didn't like - it genuinely couldn't have been any better for our family.

Everything about this place is perfect. Beautiful sea that was pleasant to swim and snorkel in, nice pool, wonderful home cooked breakfast. The proprietor was very welcoming and helpful, making dinner and taxi reservations for us. It is a small, secluded slice of paradise.

Nothing to dislike. If you're looking for a party location, it may not be for you. It was exactly what we wanted.

The property is great - once you drive through the gates you feel like you’re in a small little village. Very clean, amazing views, close by the beach and by a nice little restaurant. Most importantly it is ran by the friendly Spiros. I can’t recommend this stay highly enough.

A wonderfully peaceful location, very relaxing with friendly and helpful host Spyros and his family. Breakfasts were fabulous with many homemade Greek treats and there is an excellent taverna Chorevtra just a few steps away on the beachfront where we dined each night. Highly recommend Irides if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Public transport is limited to non-existent so you need to use taxis or rent a car to get around.

Amazing beach hotel family run. Wonderful view from the room. Comfortable bed.

It was very windy when we were there (nothing the hotel could help!) . You need a car really to explore and we had one.

Irides was in such a beautiful place with beautiful views even whilst eating breakfast! And it was maintained beautifully as well. It is situated right by the sea. The family that run it are so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend.

It’s really worth hiring a car to reach a sandy beach and find places to eat and to explore the island.

The breakfast was adequate with daily slightly different varieties. Right from the moment we checked in Spiros made us feel comfortable and welcome. The entire Petritis family were very friendly and informative about the area and their hotel. The friendly attitude is also down to their cute 9 month old daughter who was a delight. I would recommend that you forget about the hyped up islands and come and relax here and appreciate the tranquility of nature.

Just a small bar soap to wash hands.

Just the location as it was near my sister's apartment and Souvala fishing port

Where do I start? Our experience at this hotel was far from what we expected. The property is a dated, mom-and-pop apartment/Airbnb style with little to no sense of luxury. Our booking was mishandled upon arrival, and we stayed in the so-called "suite" for three nights. However, the "suite" was a basic two-bedroom apartment with minimal upkeep and a worn-out feel. Unfortunately, things only worsened when we were moved to the loft we originally booked. The loft was a nightmare—one air conditioner attempting to cool a two-story space was utterly inadequate. The temperature was unbearable, making it impossible to sleep. Our kids, supposed to sleep in the loft, had to come downstairs because the hot air rose directly to their beds. Breakfast was monotonous and uninspired, with very little variation each day. The limited options were often not enough to feed all the guests, leaving us disappointed. We also attempted to get a light lunch, which only added to our frustration. Despite being the only guests at the time, the service was lacking. When we asked Spyros for a couple of pizzas, he initially agreed, only to return and inform us they had none available. Instead of offering an alternative, we were left to fend for ourselves, ultimately walking to a nearby bakery to find something for the kids to eat. To our surprise, 45 minutes later, other guests were served toasties. When I inquired about this, Spyros replied, "You didn’t ask." Another low point was the day we switched rooms. Instead of receiving assistance, we were told to move our luggage—four large suitcases—from one two-story building down and up another. It was an exhausting and completely unexpected task. I could go on, but this review has a character limit. Suffice it to say, this stay was far from the relaxing and enjoyable experience we had hoped for.

    Property response:

Dear Dionysios, We would like to thank you for your visit in Irides and we are sad to read you did not enjoy your stay in our Family Hotel. Obviously Luxury is relative to evryone, we repsect your point of view though. By saying "avoid at all costs", Dionysios, is also relative, however previous reviews could answer if Irides is to be avoided. Our Family Hotel is providing the best possible service, mostly we succeed and rarely not. Spyros is always present and at the disposal for any visitor in Irides, if asked he will assist any request. So was also the case in our communication via booking.com messaging. Regarding the room temperature indeed the last years the heat in Greece and not only, is much higher than previous years. A planned additional insulation is ahead this year as mentioned to you. Thank you for your feedback again and further we wish you only the best. Kind regards Irides Team

We had a beautiful holiday experience at this hotel, our kids loved the pool, the rooms are big and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful and fun. The nearby taverna is also excellent. Highly recommend a stay here.

Please be aware that it's it's a slightly remote location, so not a lot close by. But there is a restaurant, a grocery store and plenty of beach access... everything you need for a few days of relaxation :)
