How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewDimitra and Irini were so lovely and really went to great lengths to ensure we had everything we needed. Fabulous, spotlessly clean, and quiet place to stay only a short walk from the beach and restaurants at Porto. Highly recommended. Incredible hospitality.

Verified reviewThe host Irini and her lovely daughter were so so welcoming and friendly and could not do enough for us. The location of the studios was really nice and so peaceful too! Lots of attention to detail, they have through t of everything - plug in mosquito things, hair dryer, iron, coffee machine, breakfast on arrival plus amazing homemade cakes, biscuits and baclava which was so delicious!!
We liked everything!

Verified reviewThe hospitality of our hostess (Irini) was something I have never experienced before! I have no words to describe it! She and her daughter were beyond friendly. She always had a little treat for our family usually homemade. The room was cleaned to perfection everyday. It really felt like home! Proximity to the beach was about 150 metres! It is worth mentioning that the room was well equipped. Kettle, toaster, coffee machine, French press, pots pans etc...

Verified reviewThe hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Demetria met us at the port and took us to our studio. Both she and her mother made us feel very muchbat home, asking how we were settling in and bringing us treats. We're really appreciated this. The studio was comfortable and very clean, with good beds and linens. Well equipt kitchen and good bathroom with plenty of hot water and a good shower. The property is close to the sea and there are good restaurants close by. The bus stop is 5 mins from the property and it takes about 15 mins to get to town.

Verified reviewA beautifully kept studio apartment with a sea view. The kitchen had lots of appliances (quite rare in our experience in Greece), the bathroom was immaculate and there was plenty of space in the sleeping area and a good veranda. The room service was exemplary with sheets and towels replaced very regularly. Irini and her daughter were delightful hosts - picking us up and taking us back to the port (a distance of 6Km) - and providing gifts of cakes and other food. They treated us like friends. We didn’t hire a car, which limited our travels, but the hourly local bus service into town was fine. And there was a good beach at the bottom of the road and a taverna serving good food.
The only problem we had was a raging wind for a lot of our stay (the Meltemi was very strong), but we can’t blame Irini for that…

Verified reviewThis is one of the best stays I have ever had in Greece. The hospitality is just something I haven’t seen anywhere else - we were greeted with a very warm welcome & home made cake and greek cookies. We got amazing recommendations and even more cake during our stay. The apartment is super clean (and cleaned every day throughout your stay). It even provides slippers & bathrobes. Its the small things that make this property excellent. We even got a small gift at the end. And of course, it looks picturesque & very typical for central islands. There are even some books you can read at the terrace, outdoor shower (when you come from the sandy beaches) and a garden. Also, it is veryyy close to the beach.
The only thing that was maybe missing were kitchen utensils. For example, there was no spatula for making the eggs, no oil to cook with, no big knife… BUT if you ask the owners they will gladly lend you any utensils you need :)

Verified reviewWe were very kindly picked up from the Port and driven to the property by the daughter where we were met by Irini with a very warm, friendly welcome. The room was spotless and came with water, home-made cake, and some very helpful guidance on the local area, buses, etc. Having hired a car there was parking available on-site, getting in and out is a little interesting but we didn't have any problems during our stay. The studios are just a few minutes walk up from the local beach and the local bus stop is just down the road, making it easy to get in and out of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tinos, all the more so for staying in such a lovely studio and being looked after by such lovely people!

Verified reviewThe place is beautiful. Our hosts were wonderful. Our room was comfortable. The beach is lovely and even has a life guard although there are no waves. Eating places and markets walking distance. Bus into Tinos close and cheap. Buses weren’t frequent when we were there but enough to do what we wanted. Rented a car and drove all over. Recommend athmar at pyrgos in the square. Have their courgette balls.
Nothing.

Verified reviewBeing at Irini Studios was like being at home! Great hospitality and kindness from the hosts, everything was cleaned every day, we had all the facilities and a space for us with a table in the garden. Irini also brought us food for breakfast and delicacies from Tinos. We cannot have asked for more. Authentic experience and a perfect place close to the beach!
