Spacious and comfortable apartment, very good and thorough cleaning, good shower (but very loud), nice AC that we could set to 27oC for example (not all allow that).

Breakfast served as a small buffet brought to the table, which potentially leads to unnecessary food waste.

My apartment was completely new, everything was working perfectly, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bathroom was especially impressive — with a high-quality, multi-head shower that targeted different zones of the body. Just in front of the hotel, there's a restaurant that also belongs to the property, and the beach is right across the road. The sunbeds are practically free — all you need is to order any drink for €3.5 or more, and the sunbed is yours for the whole day. Besides the obvious advantages of the location and facilities, the main reason I would return is the management. The owners — Esther, her husband, and their son — are truly exceptional people. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. When I missed my ferry and lost my first night, they allowed me to stay longer and even offered a separate space to store my luggage and take a shower after check-out, so I could enjoy a few more hours by the sea. That level of hospitality is rare. In short, all the positive reviews I read before booking turned out to be absolutely true. I highly recommend this place.

The only negative aspect of this place is that it creates a strong desire to come back the moment you leave. I had barely checked out and was already thinking about how to return before the end of the summer. Consider yourself warned!

I liked the location, the comfortable bed, the excellent bathroom and rainfall shower. I liked the terrace, although not private, and comfortable chairs. I liked the proximity to the beach and tavernas. The decor is gorgeous, very calming.

There were no utensils to use with all the pots and pans. I really think a full length mirror should be put into the room as women like to see what they look like. Instruction leaflet on air con would be helpful. I would much prefer that a mattress protector and pillow protector were used.

The owner and staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel is fantastic and our room (102) was a dream. We had a glass of wine on our balcony looking out to sea every evening. The breakfast was wonderful, and we had their special salad for lunch, and it really was special. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasure meeting such an amazing family. :) The owners are very polite, well-organized and very kind (They arranged check-in for us at 2am) . The apartment is super clean, well-equipped and the most important very close to the beach, right across the street. The restaurant is excellent and very affordable. The location is also very good, Old town is about 20-25 minutes walk, or you can just take a taxi (it costs about 6e). All in all, we had an amazing holiday ! I hope we will meet again :))))

AMAZING host! Really warm welcome and excellent support / communication throughout our stay. Room was very comfortable for a family of 4 (children 8-10 yo). Spacious veranda (although on the street). Litteraly on the beach front - you can get off your room and swim in less than a minute...

Street noise might be a problem for some (it wasn't for us), especially in peak season where there can be a lot of traffic. If windows are shut, then it shouldn't be a problem.

What a delightful setting and a lovely host for my first stay in Crete. I totally rcommend Rethymno and Princess Irini. I had to leave early to connect with my flight in Heraklion and because I was going to miss out on breakfast (which was included in my stay), they made me a lovely ham and salad roll and fresh fruit for my journey. Location right on the beach front also a bonus :-)

Wonderful hosts that went out of their way to meet our requests. A perfect stay, would highly recommend and return to the same place ! Very practical rooms with facilities for cooking a meal without problem. Super clean and great room service every day. Very comfortable double bed. The beach is just on the other side of the road / promenade :) All in all - we loved the cozy atmosphere of a small hotel run by locals !

Reaching the old town is a stroll by the promenade of around 20 min. Bikes are available for rent nearby. If they would be available at the hotel itself we would give 10/10 for location :)

The windows were very small and faced a wall. The listing said "side sea view" which was a lie as the only view inside the room was to a wall. When we asked about it the host said "the view is from your patio".

Lack of parking in the resort facilities, but easy to find on the main street within 200-300 meters from resort.

Ester and Michaelis are the owners of this family owned establishment. Their care and dedication to both their business and guests are exemplary. We have had a two-week break after several years without vacations.... This was a delight. The restaurant, the service, the quality of the meals, and very reasonable price levels are all more than you can ask for from your hotel hosts. Everything was really great... hotel with seaview, front view terrace and 15-20 meters walking distance from the hotel to the waves.... a tiny road and a nice band of sand are only separating you from the mediterranean sea 🙂👍Make it your choice for staying in Crete, you will enjoy this couple's and their team's hospitality, and care.... Seafood and greek meals are a must to try at Princess Irini Hotel Resort 🙂 They take care of your individual needs, such as mobility issue, comfort, easy access to the restaurant for all guests (wheelchair, walker etc...) I had mobility issue after surgery on my two legs... So I can tell how grateful I was for their attention and support. We left heavy hearted, feeling like we got a second family 😉 Enjoy a great vacation!
