Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeing fussy, given that there were four of us in the apartment, there wasn’t much room to sit right outside for breakfast, but there was a lower terrace that we could use if we wished and that had lovely views over the town.
The apartment was high up in the old town but easily accessible from the road. It was very cosy and comfortable and exactly as described. The owner is very friendly and helpful and everywhere is spotless.

GreeceThe soundproofing of the room, was not that great.
The location of the place was amazing, and close to everything in Chora. The view from the balcony is astonishing, you have the whole Aegean in your window!! The staff was also very polite, and helpful. Photos of the appartment are 100% accurate. Highly recommended for staying when visiting Skopelos.

United KingdomThe location, with a sea view, was absolutely lovely. It was handy for the local beach and lots of nice restaurants. The restaurant in the square near by is great (see photo from our terrace) and you can hear live Greek music most nights. It is high up in the town, so you need to walk uphill to get there. If you have a car there is a road up above the apartment for accessing the place and parking was easy. Our host was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed out stay. The place was cleaned everyday and we felt is was really good value for money. There is no sign for the studios, but Google Maps got us there!

MaltaThe property is located on top of a hill. To get to it there is steep uphill climb with many steps. The entire upper part of Skopelos is reachable by uphill stair ways. If you are planning to cook for yourself there is a small kitchen that is functional, but needs at least one frying pan, a tea towel would be nice too.
Nice studio apartment with a great view overlooking the port and ships arriving. Very clean, well maintained. The owner is a nice hardworking lady.

AustriaBeds were pretty uncomfortable Shower gel was not daily supplied The accomodation was hard to find given the nature of the place and some indications along the path would be useful. However the landlady was so polite to pick us up when we had issue in finding it.

South AfricaThe apartment is very difficult to find the first time as there are no directions, no house name on the gate and the gps coordinates are not accurate. Please recommend that people with luggage take a taxi from the port. we tried for more than an hour to find it, with heavy bags and in 37deg heat. also, the beds were not comfy.
The apartment has beautiful views over the town and is spacious and clean.

EgyptKastro Studios is located next to the castle. It is about a 10 minute walk from the port. If you have heavy bags, take a taxi as it's all uphill on several steps to reach it. There is no meet and greet or pickup service from the port as there are with other pensions in the area.
The view from Kastro Studio is spectacular. Make sure to request a room with a view of the sea. The family that owns and runs the place is so warm, friendly, helpful and accommodating. They responded to our every request and they bent over backwards to make us comfortable and content. They were also very patient and flexible with us.

United KingdomThere is nothing negative to say. Accommodation is good value for money but might be considered a little basic by some. There are a number of steep steps even when accessing from ring road, so not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Quiet and peaceful location at top of old town. Beautiful views down to the port. Family run and helpful and welcoming.

Czech RepublicThe room equipment is older, but maintained and sufficient. A small problem is the bathroom. The shower curtain is short, water flows out of the tub during the shower. During our stay, the structure of the shower curtain was damaged, so it couldn't be pulled - attached, so in the evening we had a small pool from the bathroom :-) There are quite a few sockets in the entire apartment and the ones in the kitchen are in a rather strange, not completely safe condition, definitely outside the standard in the Czech Republic. I was a little worried about it, but nothing happened :-) However, everything was compensated by the beautiful surroundings, views and overall well-being.
IIt is difficult to rate this accommodation. Before you get to it, you will have to climb quite a hill (for healthy people in normal condition, nothing problematic, but it is good to expect it). The reward is a beautiful view, from our balcony we had a view of the whole island from the castle, over the port, the center and the rest of the city - white houses with red roofs..it was breathtaking. The balcony was the biggest asset of the room, without it I would rate the accommodation much worse. The apartment was really spacious, the mattress was hard, which blew me away, and everything was tidy and clean. The owner was very nice and pleasant. We felt very safe throughout our stay.

United KingdomWe were prepared for the apartment to be high up but feel that people need warning of the many steps up from the port. we class ourselves as being fit but after 5 days the walk up and down twice a day became a bit of a 'slog' even for us - glad we had no moany teenagers with us or older/slightly less fit relatives. No curtains/blinds on kitchen window which meant we were woken up by glorious sunshine until I managed to rig towels up to cover it. Shower curtain was a little short which meant bathroom floor was awash! Not really enough kitchen utensils, crockery etc but to be honest host would probably have helped if I'd asked.
The view from the private balcony was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The air con and wifi were both good. Great to be somewhere in Greece where we could happily drink the tap water!

GreeceThere was no shampoo in the room, neither is shampoo offered. Remember to bring it with you! There is no super market nearby, so we had to climb up and down the town to get some. Also, no hairdryer is available and the shower's curtain was not really closing.
Amazing location, overlooking the bay of Skopelos. The property is structured in various levels and includes several, different rooms. You have the choice of losing yourself in the beautiful streets of the town, or reaching it with your own vehicle via the road right above it. We were offered the option to pay by card, which came as a surprise as it was not mentioned on booking.com.

ItalyKeep in mind it is located in the historical centre, within a complex of traditional terraced houses, thus access it might be quite difficult for people with disability. I would suggest to improve the shower curtain, it is too short so the water keeps dropping out of the shower tray.
We booked 1 night only, unfortunately, an amazing seaview studio with all the necessary facilities you might need for longer stays (fridge, kitchen, drying rack, etc...), it's a few mins away from the Venetian castle and 5' walk from the promenade, at the same time it is located in a very quiet area so you can find total piece of mind. Restaurants and basic shops are available nearby, free public parking is available on the main road which is 1' away. The host is very helpful as well, we were also able to pay by card, highly recommended!!
