Would have loved a fan in the room but it's a small detail. We struggled with cigarette smoke in our room coming from the pool so this would have helped to clear it.

Location was perfect! Close to everything in Vathy but quiet. Room was large and comfortable.

Gorgeous view of the water from the upper floors. Great location; minutes walk from most of Vathy’s restaurants and shops. Good standard breakfast and a nice pool area. Very friendly and accommodating staff, very eager to help and make suggestions.

Superb location for exploring the island and walking into Vathy. Very small and friendly, only 7 rooms perfect. Breakfast was great. good choice and freshly baked items. The host was lovely and friendly and sorted thing quickly.

Just one spare electric socket in room - had to un-plug lamps etc to use phone chargers and hairdryer etc. No tea or coffee making in room.

Hosts very attentive and helpful. Swimming pool and sun beds are not common in Vathi, so a bonus. Hotel bar with drinks available. Close to harbour and restaurants and supermarkets. TV with BBC World Service. Air-conditioning included. View of sea and hills beyond from balcony. Help from hosts with suitcases up several steps/stairs to room. Fridge in room with small freezer rack for use cubes was a plus.

The mattress was firmer than I like.

Our room was very spacious and the hotel is even more beautiful than the photos. The man working there was so helpful and gave the best recommendations. The whole place was exceptionally clean.

Some of the decorations and facilities are showing their age and the breakfast was a little disappointing due to it being cold one day and the other day guests decided to take most of it in their lunch bags as we arrived. I think it would be better to have the breakfast cooked for you as you arrive to save waste and it going cold.

Very comfy beds and a good sized room. The facilities were clean and the swimming pool was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

This hotel is very atmospheric. Our room overlooked the bay in Vathy. The restaurants are close by. The staff went out of their way to give us a good stay. Not surprisingly we enjoyed our time at the Korina Gallery Hotel.

Fantastic people and amazing room. So close to the sea we could enjoy it from our balcony. We were the first guests so pool wasn't available (they did start getting it ready! but we had so much to do we didn't mind) and we didn't stay long enough to enjoy all facilities (breakfast was lovely though), but it was so close to a couple amazing beaches that we didn't really mind. Cannot overstate how helpful and lovely the people were. It was an absolute dream vacation and we're already planning the return.

Getting to the housing unit involved climbing a considerable flight of stairs. Bad WiFi communication. We appealed for assistance but it was not possible to help. The building is 120 years old, beautiful, but not really well maintained, there is a feeling of old age and poor maintenance. The pool water was dirty and it was not possible to bathe in it. Maybe because this is the last week the hotel is open. end of season Our room was dark and close to the dining room so we had a wake up call in the morning.

Quiet location not in the city center but very close by a short walk. The property owner is welcoming and tries to help. The housing unit we received was large, spacious and clean.

What’s not to like?

Beautiful building in the heart of the port. Location fantastic. Linen, towels and complimentary products all fantastic quality. Staff lovely and helpful. Breakfast lovely.

Breakfast was at 8.30 and I do love a cup of tea when I wake. Perhaps a kettle in the breakfast area would be good so guests can make an early tea or coffee.

We loved its old fashioned charm. The swimming pool was a real pleasure. Breakfasts were good.

We rented a suite, it would have been nice to have a television in the seating area as an alternate area to watch TV if the other person needed to rest. Also the air conditioning needs to be better to cool the entire suite. And personally, the hotel can update the furnishings, however the motif maybe what the owner prefers.

The staff was wonderful and helpful. They provided recommendations to restaurants and places to visit. Also, they were very accommodating to our needs. The breakfast was nice and Maria was very attentive as well as Michale and Stathis! Lastly the view from our suite was magnificent!

I didn't want to leave, so I'm going back

I loved the warm welcome, ambience and how the moment you walk through the door you feel like you are in a very special place. The Korina is more than a hotel it's a very unique experience, I loved it so much that I booked again for September. Every guest looked so happy and never stopped smiling, from the moment you arrive until you leave the staff are encouraging you to feel at home and they genuinely want you to have the best time.

Keep in mind that its kinda rocky island. There is little to no sand on beaches. Most of them are with small rocks and pathes of sand, seeweed and bigger rocks. But the water there is beautifully clear. Because of its ,,rocky" character, the seabed is often soon quite steep. And if u rent a car, it could prove quite difficult for begginers to manage driving there. Roads are very narrow, often in not as good shape. There are many crazy steep parts and crazy sharp bends on those roads (often both at the same time. Many parts of those roads are also situated very high. So if u do not fancy driving on the narrow road often close to the edge of the cliff, u may actually prefer to stay in southern part of an island and enjoy beaches there or choose to rent maybe motorcycle or bike instead of car.

Very good breakfasts. You can pick out of similar variety of food each morning. And u can also ask kindly personal of the hotel to make scrambled eggs, omelette or bacon on a frying pan. Rooms are good and spacious. Vathy (city and residents) has bit specific atmosphere. For example its kinda difficult to find out how and when certrain shops and restaurants operate. Usualy there were something like breakfast spots, bakeries, coffee shops wich operated more in the morning and restaurants wich often started operating around 17:00 or 18:00. Safe bet is restaurant Kohili. Restaurant Poseidon is more fish oriented. If u are traveling, u can also visit Agori (restaurant) in Frikes (village) or Kanenas (restaurant) in Stavros (village). Those are very good. If u are traveling there for historical sightseeing keep in mind that there is just a little left from so looooong ago. Yet in my mind, its still is unique feeling to walk through Odysseus's former kingdom.
