Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyI cannot say that there is anything I did not particularly like about it. Compared to the price, breakfast should be included and there could be an agreement with private parking, being on a pedestrian street.
The hotel is centrally located in one of the most characteristic districts of the city. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.

LatviaThere weren’t many downsides, but the main one would be the housekeeping service. Over the course of three days, our room was cleaned only once, and that was after we made a special request (even though the “Please clean” sign had been hanging on the door for several days). After cleaning, the almost-finished toilet paper roll was not replaced, so we had to go and ask for one ourselves. This is something that could be improved. And of course, also a rather strange choice to put the shower inside the room, enclosed on all sides with glass walls and mirrors from several angles. This is not the first place in Greece where we’ve noticed this peculiar Greek fetish – we simply don’t quite understand...why? If you’re traveling as a couple (as in our case), you can tolerate it, but if you’re staying here with, say, your mother or a friend, this kind of forced exhibitionism could be quite a traumatic experience. 🤷♂️
The hotel is wonderful! We spent almost three weeks on vacation in Greece and stayed in six different hotels in a fairly similar price range – this was definitely one of the best, if not the best! The room was very spacious, with a nice balcony and a large (!!!) toilet (which, as we have now discovered, is quite a rarity in Greece). The spaces were fresh and tastefully decorated, with all necessary power sockets and conveniently controlled lighting. There was also a nice breakfast kitchen/bar (which, for some unknown reason, is open only until 3 p.m.) and helpful girls at the reception! The location is EXCELLENT – right in the center – next to what we think is the coolest neighborhood in Athens: Psiri! Lots of wonderful restaurants, cafes and places to see. Visually, the area unfortunately looks like a trash heap, but that’s because of the graffiti, which of course is not the hotel’s fault. From the top floor of the hotel, you can see the Acropolis – but only if you’ve booked one of the luxury rooftop rooms (others shouldn’t count on an Acropolis view 😊). Overall, everything was really excellent!

United StatesIt was mostly quiet but with noise in the mornings with staff and people coming in and out of their rooms. You can hear a toilet flushing/water running coming from the upstairs floor and there is some mild sewage smell coming from the room.
I loved the design and efficiency of the room, the shower was top, the bed was very comfortable (best hotel bed ever - I slept like a baby), there was a fridge, coffee and tea provided with espresso machine and free water bottles. The buffet and a la carte breakfast is very good and it’s from 7a to 12p which is unheard of. The boutique style hotel is charming and pleasantly quiet. The location is excellent with restaurants and shops galore within walking distance.

South AfricaWe ordered a picnic breakfast to take along on an early excursion. Although the sandwich was tasty, the bread seemed old and crumbled, and was not nice at all.
The staff was very friendly and assisted with everything. We really enjoyed the breakfast, being able to order from the menu, was nice. The hotel is very central and even if it is in a busy area, the room was soundproof proof and very comfortable.

CanadaWhat I found very annoying was returning to the hotel in the evening and having to wade through many small tables crowded into the access to the hotel with a very narrow corridor between the tables. A person even a bit unsteady on feet or someone quite overweight would find it difficult. Not pleasant to be looking down on plates of half eaten food, etc in such a narrow space. Probably not any solution though!
Breakfast had very good choices, some being unique.

United KingdomWe didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. The lift was very small so was often long waiting times which was fine for us on the 1st floor, but may have been worse for the top floors.
The location was great - a short walk from the main square/Acropolis and the metro The room itself was spacious and clean/comfortable The staff were friendly and helpful - even booking us a taxi to the airport.

IsraelWe were there for 3 nights as part of an extended trip in Greece and we had 4 travel trollies. There was nowhere to unpack apart from some hangers so we had to live out of our suitcases. The sink in the bathroom, IMHO, lacked a shelf above it for ladies cosmetics etc
Great combo breakfast. We loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. I enjoyed the homemade granola and the Avocado toast choice. My husband loved the scrambled eggs and salad. It was possible to make adjustments to the items on the menu, (ie, no chorizo in the eggs) and sides one could add for a modest fee ( ie yummy mushrooms). The dining area is light and cheerful. We also very much appreciated the super kind and helpful reception and general staff. It is close to fun places and restaurants, and the metro. A very comfortable bed, lovely shower. Although the views were of backstreet Athens, the private verandah was a delightful place to sit for a rest or a drink.

IsraelI don't understand the design of a bathroom separated by glass from the bedroom. And with no door, at least the toilet has a door... It’s nice if you are a couple but I was traveling with friends.
L'Avventura hotel is a small hotel located in an alley from Ermou. There is a Hammam on the 1st floor, and the reception is on the 3rd floor. The room is modernly decorated, decorative glass separates the bathroom from the bedroom - at least the toilet has a door... Since there was a problem with the air conditioning in the room, I was upgraded (for a small additional fee) to a stunning suite with a balcony in the new wing of the hotel that had just opened. Here too, the bathroom was separated by decorative glass, and there was a separation between the bedroom and the living room - which was very convenient. The staff is very kind and helpful and the breakfast that is served on the 4th floor, includes free cereal and coffee, and a choice of a dish from the menu. Delicious and fresh. Recommended.

United KingdomReception being on the 3rd floor was not very clear upon entering, lifts are small if you have lots of luggage. The street outside had a restaurant which was quite noisy at night, even with the window closed.
The decor of the room was beautiful, the room was very clean and well equipped with everything you need, with a spacious shower and a very comfy bed.
