How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe booked last minute and it was a very lucky shot. The room was very spacious, the balcony large and well positioned (not directly against sun but warm and with view), and the location is a dream: wonderful greek garden with butterflies and private pebble beach. The hostess was lovely to us and the breakfast is delicious! Also close to villages with bakeries and cheese shop!
The kitchen could use a few more utensils for actual usage.

Verified reviewBig bedroom and living room. Super quiet, beautiful gardens, on the sea shore and fantastic fresh breakfasts overlooking the beach. Large fridge freezer.
Very small bathroom and kitchen but perfectly fine for us. Perfectly adequate for preparing lunches.
Thank you very much!

Verified reviewNostalgic vibe. Nice veranda. Close to town. Right on the beach. Great fresh juice at breakfast. Very lovely landscaping. A very comfortable, relaxing place to stay and enjoy the water or use as a base for day trips. Very warm greeting from Maria, hotel proprietor.
Coffee could be better. Additional pillows. The bathroom and kitchen were quite small but manageable. Needed towel or paper towels for kitchen use. These were minor inconveniences.
Thank you very much!

Verified reviewWe have stayed in many beautiful places and accommodations in Greece, and Magda Hotel is one of the most beautiful. The rooms are lovely and tastefully furnished, but by far the most beautiful aspect is the wonderful orange and olive garden. We very much enjoyed sitting there, having a delicious breakfast, and spending hours looking around and reading. To the left, you have a view of the sea, and to the right, the mountains. The pebble beach is narrow, and the clear, clean water is wonderful for swimming. Anyone looking for peace and relaxation, who appreciates nature and beauty and is happy to escape the noise of the world for a while will feel very much at home here. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be back again.
Nothing
Thank you very much!

Bathroom shower position is awkward.
Thank you very much!

Verified reviewThe place is truly amazing for chilling and relaxing. It's definitely not for party lovers. There's a huge garden around the house, half-surrounded by mountains with a beautiful sea view on the other side. Proximity to the camping site is not an issue at all—no crowds, no noise from the neighbors, etc. Parking is great, with no issues regarding available slots or maneuvering problems due to lack of space. A rented car is essential since the closest shop is around 3.5 km from the hotel. Breakfast is served in the garden, next to the beach. It can really make your day, every day. The variety of food is sufficient, and everything is fresh and tasty. The stony beach is clean, with crystal-clear and warm water. There's lots of wildlife, including fish, and turtles often visit the shallow waters. How nice is that ? :) Very comfortable sunbeds are available in the garden, which you can carry to the beach yourself. If you need shade on the beach, no problem; if you want sun, you'll find it! The room was spacious enough for two people, very clean, and well air-conditioned, with housekeeping done every day. The terrace was big, furnished, and offered fantastic views! There are plenty of places in the building to sit, talk, work, or relax. The mattress was rather firm and very comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, but no complaints. The kitchen was equipped with a very basic set of pottery and cutlery. The fridge could be a bit bigger, but we managed to fit our stuff in. The hosts are very kind and helpful. They have a perfect sense of your privacy and your needs :)
Some clothesline dryers on the terrace would make everyone's life easier, I believe :) Adding some additional equipment in the kitchen would be perfect — like some wine glasses, more plates, and a few more pots.
Thank you very much!

Verified reviewThe surrounding beautiful garden and the location by the sea are unique, together with the view of the surrounding hills and sea beaches. Very nice and mostly home made breakfast and possibility of using sunbeds (free of charge) makes the stay very relaxing . The small town of Ancient Epidavros located only a couple of kms away, together with the Small Theater of Epidavros, while the Ancient Theater is only 20mins far by car. Smart choice for attending a theater performance
The size and arrangement of the WC and kitchenette rather deficient
Thank you very much.

Verified reviewExcellent location if you’re looking for peace and quiet! The garden is lovely and the view is great. The breakfast is simple but with truly fresh ingredients - it feels like home:) The staff is nice and helpful.
Don’t expect to go to the beach in front, it’s small and only pebbles. But that wasn’t a problem for us.
Thank you very much!

Verified reviewThe greatest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is situated on the seafront, surrounded by flower gardens, a citrus orchard, and an olive grove, with the sea about 30 meters away. Breakfast is served on the seafront. The beach is used exclusively by hotel guests. It is an ideal place for a peaceful and romantic seaside holiday.
The kitchen needs upgrading. The fridge is too noisy.
Thank you very much!
