Dear Snezana, We are truly sorry to hear that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. At Maregio Suites, we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience. We’d like to take a moment to address your concerns in detail: Regarding the blanket, all our suites are thoughtfully equipped with full amenities to ensure your comfort. During your room tour, we pointed out the closet area, where a large blanket was stored in a sealed bag next to the ironing board. Additionally, we are always happy to provide extra blankets upon request, and guests can adjust the AC settings to a warmer temperature for their convenience. As for the pool, we keep our heated plunge pools at 32°C to ensure an optimal balance between daytime warmth and evening comfort. When you requested an increase in temperature, we adjusted it accordingly from our central system. However, these are heated plunge pools —not hot tubs— meaning they do not exceed 35–36°C and require time to warm up, especially at night when temperatures drop. Since we did not receive further feedback on this matter during your 2 day stay, we assumed the adjustment was satisfactory. Regarding power outages, Santorini occasionally experiences electricity disruptions, which is why we have our own generator. In the rare event of an outage, power is restored within minutes. Unfortunately, this is a citywide issue affecting all properties, and we do our best to ensure uninterrupted service. Concerning the TV issue, our team thoroughly inspected the situation and initially could not identify the cause that night. The following morning, we discovered that the main satellite cable had been accidentally cut outside the property. Once identified, we resolved the issue within an hour. We greatly appreciate your patience, and we recall that you thanked us twice, sharing your enthusiasm and score for the football match you were watching. While technical issues are unforeseen, we always respond swiftly to ensure a seamless experience. Regarding breakfast, we carefully reviewed your order with our service and kitchen staff. Your meal was delivered in two large trays, and we were happy to accommodate your additional requests. There may have been some confusion, when an item is selected twice we sometimes place both portions in a single dish to optimize space on the tray, as our staff navigates many stairs during room service. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding and truly appreciate your understanding. Regarding the comments about stores and receipts, we are unsure how these relate to our property, as they involve businesses outside of the hotel. While we always aim to assist our guests in any way possible, we are not responsible for external transactions. If your four-star review reflects your experience of other businesses in Santorini rather than our hotel specifically, we feel this may not be really fair to us. Our staff is committed to providing outstanding service every day, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for like family because we are a small property. This is the first time we have received negative feedback regarding our long term team here, and we sincerely regret that your experience did not reflect the warmth and hospitality we strive for. In your suite this year alone, we have welcomed over 100 satisfied guests. Across various booking platforms, 95% of our reviews are rated 9 or 10 stars. We truly wish you had shared your concerns with us during checkout so that we could have addressed them directly and do something for you to feel better for your stay, sadly nothing was mentioned. Additionally, we observed that, despite mentioning everything was “very clean,” the cleanliness rating given was 2.5 stars, which surprised us. Nonetheless, we sincerely appreciate your feedback.
