Lovely property. Perfect location. Clean. Plenty of sun loungers always available. Loved everything.

Having to leave and come home!!

Staff awesome, we loved you from the first day onward. Everything was perfect, we enjoyed our stay and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Maybe a lift would be helpful with the babies and for the longer stays (like ours, 2 weeks) the bath and terrace should be cleaned more often.

The location, the setup, the cleanliness. Very well maintained swimming pool, with snack bar. Regular cleaning of rooms. The setup of location, at seashore, with enough sunbeds for all guests and showers, but in the same time close to restaurants and shops, without being in a noisy area. Ideal for a long stay with kids. Very friendly staff. Loved every minute spent there.

The quality of the internet. If you need it, be prepared to have lots of hiccups. For us it was not a problem, we had mobile data valid for europe, but if you need it to connect now and then for work....not the best. Also in the balconies I would recommend to add something for people to be able to hang towels/swimming suits to dry.

Kitchen facilities limited for self caterers as were general supplies for meat fish etc needed to go into Zakinthos for them which added to cost I’m coeliac so wanted to ensure I had GF and some cost saving meals

Location was fantastic. Rooms were spacious clean a bit basic but value for money and comfortable.

The hotel was great, right beside the sea. Very quiet and calming place. Sunbeds at the beach. Room is very spacious and all basics in the kitchen. Good location in the small but cozy town off Argassi. Good value for money!

Every morning, the two ladies that are opening the snackbar at the pool were continuously chatting loudly with each other. It disrupted the peaceful mornings at sea. Thin walls, you can hear the light switching on off from the neighbour's. The shower was a bit small. The placing of the twin beds/lightswitch/bed lights were stranged. Can't sit up in bed cause of the lights and can't reach the switch cause of the beds. Air conditioning was not that strong. Luckily we we went in May so it wasn't too hot.

Very impressed with every aspect of the apartments

While our stay was correct, we would like to put things back into perspective. See comments below. On the bright side: breakfast is fine and served on the terrace front of the sea by a very nice lady.

The pictures shown of the rooms are not fair: in the room was absent any decorum seen on the picture that could make a very simple place more pleasant (no vase, no flowers, no sheet on the table, no striped cushions…). Prepare for a much more simplistic set-up. The bed was not comfortable at all, mattresses must be 15 years old, I got back pain everytime I woke up. Same for the pillows. On top, we had to make the bed ourselves every night because the sheets were left on the bed in a butterfly shape. There is no picture of the bathrooms, which is equally simplistic - and not very sexy. Three days before our departure, we had ants flowing between the bathroom and the kitchen. This wasn’t much of an inconvenience for us, given the substantial disappointment we already went through at the beginning so we let it go. That might not be the taste of everyone else though. The staff was not overwhelmingly nice as mentioned in the reviews. Our welcome was far from outstanding - it is barely as if we could feel “welcome” - although nothing specific to mention here. Walls are not well isolated: you hear neighbors coming back, coughing, or going to the bathroom. The hotel is located close to a party village, on a road, so the surroundings are not the best for an evening walk, or run or just going out without the car. The dythirambic reviews we read carefully before selecting this place, the price we paid (it is not cheap at all), and the lovely picture of one room on booking, sent our expectations to a very different level and we were very disappointed.

The location was amazing close to lovely family tavernas and short walk to town centre. Excellent beach front hotel and amazing sea views from our room. Very nice pool area and drinks /snack bar. Plentiful sun loungers. On our last day we our flight was early evening and the hotel owners very kindly gave an extended check out at no cost.

We absolutely loved our stay at Marie Mare and would highly recommend it. If we had to offer any criticism it would be that the room we stayed needed upgrading and refurbished throughout. This might be reflected in an increase in cost but we would be happy to pay more as we loved this hotel on every other way.

The hotel location is excellent, just far enough from the main town to be quiet at night. There's a supermarket and lively bar playing live music most nights just over the road. We had a ground floor Deluxe Double room right on the sea front which also had pool views to the side, perfect. Plenty of sunbeds arranged in pairs around a parasol and table, by the shore, around the pool, and dotted about the grass. Pleasant bar/restaurant on-site offering tasty food and cold beer. The hardest decision: shall I go for a swim in the sea or the pool?

A cafetiere would be a welcome addition, otherwise all was good.

Pleasant environment, nice clean rooms, wonderful sea view, generous breakfast, very sympathetic, kind owners. Family feeling. Argassi center is five minutes walk from the hotel. I highly recommend. If I ever returned to Zakynthos I'd stay here again.

Spotlessly clean studio apartment with lovely sea view. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect. Sunbeds were available at all times too and the direct access to the sea made it perfect. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!
