Reviews of Maria's room

The host arranged for another place to stay as the property had an issue.

I was initially given an address by the person I had to call. However once I got there, I was contacted by another person who gave me another address. It was after 1am at night so that wasn't convenient also given the tariff of taxis at night.

Maria’s room is perfect, I needed to be near the airport as came in from England in the evening and had an early morning connecting island flight. So convenient and Maria is so lovely! She arranged my transfer for me, I’ve seen some reviews saying this was more expensive, but as a women travelling alone at night, it was totally worth it. Excellent communication from Maria and from Petros the driver. Maria welcomes you like family, she got me coffee and biscuits on arrival, and made me a sandwich to take to the airport. Room and shared bathroom are so clean, very comfy bed. Fantastic stay, would always pick here if needing an airport room.

We didn't understand that it was a room in a shared apartment with a shared bathroom and common area. It is written in the description but it wasn't clear for us, so take notice.

Pro: less than 10 min drive from the airport. Great ample food for breakfast and snacks. Quiet neighbourhood with convenient amenities

Con: no air con, which may be an issue during hotter months. PSA: The accommodation offers two-way transfer from and to airport at 55 euro. Uber is 9-14 euro one way. I suggest you take that. Also the bathroom is shared

It’s soo lovely and cosy, clean and homely. Everything was perfect, really comfortable bed and room, quiet at night, and a lovely kitchen / living room where Maria had left food for me. I appreciated this a lot. If I ever have a stop over by Athens airport again I’ll stay back here. Thank you Maria

I never actually met Maria, but we corresponded by WhatsApp. She's clearly lovely. The property is incredibly clean, well organised, beautifully decorated. I'd had a tough few days with flight cancellations and all sorts of stuff going on... this was the perfect antidote, and I left refreshed and much happier than I'd been when I'd arrived.

Spotless clean. Many little things that made my stay feel cosy. Super nice breakfast. Cose to the airport, bit not affected by the noise of airplanes.

The property did not match the advert. Where we booked as a couple and expected a couple/double room we had a room with a single bed only. The advert said had conditioning and a sofa bed these were in the common area so we were left sleeping in a small single bed and had a fan on with the window open to keep the room from getting stuffy. Thankfully booking was for one night only as we did not sleep well and would have been wrecked if stuck there any longer. As it was this was booked so we would have a good sleep between flights, as we had an early flight the next morning, not having a great bed and being hot meant we were very tired the next day.

Everything was very good, very nice owner, sho organize transfer and the room. Very easy to communicate.

Maria was lovely and made the stay feel as though I was at home. The place was clean, she had breakfast prepared for the next day and made sandwiches too. Maria is gorgeous, definitely couldn’t t recommend any higher! Thanks Maria

Felt so homely and everywhere you looked there was something cute, or nicely set up. María was very easy to communicate with and she provided a lot of valuable information. Breakfast setup was insanely good!!

Simple room, shared bathroom. Quiet. Plenty of self serve breakfast items and snacks.

The only thing I didn’t like was I reached out to the owner to ask her about setting up transportation to and from the airport and she told me it would be €55. I was surprised because I knew that the location was very close to the airport. I decided to call an Uber when I got to the airport in the Uber ride was €10. The owner said she does not know what the pricing tune from the airport is she just arranges the ride through third-party. I feel like you should know if you’re third-party is offering a competitive rate or not and if it’s not competitive find another service for your guests.

Although we never met because of the late night check-in, Maria was very nice and helped immediately with every question we had. She prepared the rooms and the kitchen and seems like she thought of everything. Her apartment is very cozy, something that you'd refer to as 'home' even if you stay for just one night.

The lighting in the stairway hall doesn't seem to work.
