Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCan't think of anything.
We love this place. I think this is our sixth or seventh stay over the last few years (we live just across the bay in Turkey, so it's a nice sneaky getaway). It is SO relaxing - the perfect combination of friendliness, comfort and professionalism. The manager and staff just can't do enough for you to make you welcome. You feel at home from the minute you arrive. We had a gorgeous suite with a large balcony direclty overlooking the harbour. All of the rooms have a similarly gorgeous view. The bar/restaurant, which is open at lunchtimes for food and until 9pm for dinner, is shady, with lots of squishy sofas, a great selection of food and drinks, and ultra-friendly service. The hotel has a big seaside terrace with very comfortable sun loungers, and you can access the sea by steps from the terrace or by steps from the tiny beach at the far end of the terrace. The hotel does welcome visitors from outside the hotel, but they have a separate sunbathing area so there is never any fight for sunbeds. Come the evening, have a sundowner in the bar, then wander along the harbour to choose your dinner at one of the many seaside tavernas. Alexander's and Lazarakis are our favourites, but they are all good. You can reach Kastellorizo by ferry from Kas, Turkey (20 minutes) or by ferry from Athens or Rhodes, or by a short flight from Rhodes.

TurkeyBreakfast was nice and more than enough, many choices available. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was great and peaceful, just a short walking distance from the ferry. The room was clean and cozy. The receptionist was there to help any time we needed assistance. There was a wedding a day after we arrived to the hotel and the hotel looked even more fabulous with all decorations and happy guests

AustraliaI can't say there is anything I disliked, so this is more of a suggestion - It would be nice if the doors on the upper level leading to the back road were fitted to use access cards. Possibly linking room key cards to the back doors to allow access in and out.
The service was exceptional. Management did everything possible to make us feel as comfortable as possible. The staff were very friendly and always willing to have a chat. The breakfast provided exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect. Not knowing the island beforehand, we were very happy to be away from the night club and other busier and possibly noisier (loud night music) areas.

A jewel of a hotel in the Mediterranean. The staff are attentive and very helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious and the view from the room is amazing. Best location to swim on the island and short walking distance to the harbour and restaurants. They also provide good breakfast. United KingdomThere was absolutely nothing that we didn't like.
We loved everything. We have stayed here a few times before, but have missed a few years during the pandemic. The hotel is gorgeous, perfect location, super quiet rooms with very comfortable beds and excellent bathroom. Everything is absolutely spotlessly clean. We had a small mix up over our booking and were upgraded to a suite by way of apology - this was completely unnecessary, but lovely all the same. All of the rooms have a stunning view over the harbour and the position at the far end of the harbour is very quiet, yet there is plenty to look at with the boats coming and going. The sea is lovely for swimming, with good steps for getting in and out. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, with lots of delicious Greek treats (the cheese filo pies are to die for). All of the staff are really lovely, and very helpful. We loved it so much that we are thinking we might go back next week (we are lucky enough to be a 20-minute ferry ride away and can actually see our village from the hotel balcony!)
