Awesome location, if you get an Acropolis view room , you can’t go wrong Owner is helpful, helped us with some issues we had with our luggage . It’s always our first stop in Athens to get us into the Greek Spirit

Couldn’t leave aircon on when away from room as key card needed to activate electricity, consequently room was hot when returning to it and also fridge didn’t work without key card being in place, so things in fridge didn’t stay cold.

The rooms are small, but we had a great view every time. There was also a nice balcony. If you have kids you may feel cramped, or need to book multiple rooms. For us it was perfect though.

The location of this hotel is hard to beat. Right next to many restaurants and the Acropolis. It's also well maintained, clean and comfortable. The staff we very friendly and helped us with everything from holding our bags to throwing out an old suitcase. There was also a lovely breakfast on the roof with a beautiful view, and the omelets were made by a very friendly woman who spoke no English. I'd highly recommend trying the breakfast at least once.

The location of the Is hotel is fantastic. Step out & you’re in the heart of it all. Cafes, restaurants, the mall, commercial shops & supermarkets. The vibe is high. We walked to the Acropolis 20 minutes & had breakfast at a cafe nearby to it. Cafes don’t open till after 8am so we were lucky to find one near the south entrance. Our room was quite small & so the bathroom. But it suited our stay. We had a little balcony with a perfect view of the Acropolis. Beautiful church across the road. Cafes & restaurants are open late but the noise was ok. Staff are very friendly.

Church bells across the street ring all day and night - ear plugs were not enough to block the sound. Shower is very tiny with inadequate curtain and water temperature changes during shower. Balcony is too small to use.

Breakfast Omelette was incredibly good. View from breakfast area is great. Hotel is clean and situated in a very convenient area. Air conditioning worked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the breakfast lady was sick so we weren't able to enjoy the well priced breakfast upstairs. I'm sure this is very rare though.

Staff were helpful We were able to check in nice and early Very basic room but clean and in the BEST 👌 location. Close to everything. So many bars , restaurants and shopping nearby. We were also able to walk to the meeting place for our Acropolis tour. Room was tiny as rooms in Europe often are, but we had a cute little balcony with room for 2 chairs, it overlooked a busy street, nice place to watch all the activity. You will save money if going to the airport as there is an airport bus which goes every 30 minutes for less than 10 EU, it's just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. They were so kind letting us store our luggage there so we could enjoy our day before our flight. I'd stay here again

It just felt a little too tight when trying to move around in the room with luggage. Apart from that everything was great!

The hotel owner & all staff were welcoming, humble, kind & efficient! They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a fantastic one. In the heart of Athens and you can walk anywhere from that location. We will be back. Thank you Metropolis Hotel!!

My room had a tiny balcony with Acropolis views but the furniture was rather dated and could do with upgrading. WiFi was variable - needed to log in several times.
