Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesUnfortunately, the shower facilities leave a lot to be desired. Water all over the bathroom floor. I suppose when renovating the mansion, bathrooms had to be built wherever possible.
The friendly staff. The beautiful surroundings of the mansion and garden.

AustraliaIf we had been more organised, and booked more in advance, it would have been lovely to have a room with a view.
We have an amazing time in Hydra - the staff at Hotel Miranda were amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful.

United KingdomSometimes it is tricky to know what you want for breakfast when you have to order the night before. That said you could have had as much food as you like, as well as tea and coffee.
We loved the comfy bed and modern bathroom. The hotel is quaint and stylish. The staff are super friendly and cannot help enough. The breakfast was good, and the setting for breakfast on the terrace was lovely. Close to the harbour makes transporting bags yourself easy. Hotel would collect if you wanted though!

United KingdomOur room was next to the street, which as the building is old with ill-fitting single glazed windows, meant there was noise from people passing by until at least 03:00 on the Saturday night. Sunday night was quieter.
A beautifully restored building. Lovely breakfast. Helpful and kind staff. We stayed 2 nights, which is sufficient to see all of Hydra.

United StatesThere was nothing to complain about
Everything. We have stayed here before and made a point of booking again. The property is very charming, with its own secluded courtyard. It is located just a bit up the hill from the port. If you haven’t been to Hydra, the town is a U-shape bowl, with everything centered on the port. The Miranda is just up the hill from the commercial and touristy parts, so you are just steps away from where you will likely want to be, but secluded at the beginning of the more residential upper town. The staff is great and breakfast in the sun-dappled courtyard should not be missed.

RomaniaSometimes there was too much noise in the room in the evening - the boiler/water system was not masked behind anything and we could hear it running. Also, we could hear other guests going up and down the stairs to their rooms.
The old decor fits the location so well. The garden is also beautiful. It was a joy to have breakfast there every morning (and befriend the cats). The location is perfect - very close to the port, yet in a quiet area. We managed to drag our luggage there ourselves - it was easier downhill when we left:).

United StatesClean, comfortable room, lovely garden outside, and very helpful staff. The hotel is also only about 6 mins away from the port so very easy to get to from the ferry. Lots of great restaurants, boutiques, and a few great beaches also within a 10 minute walk.
