Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo WiFi: the router was broken. A few of the amenities in the bathroom were no longer functioning. I guess post-Covid, it is hard everywhere to find help repairing.
The views were amazing, staff helpful and friendly, great food, lovely pool, quiet. I was upgraded upon arrival.

GreeceThere was not lader in our private swimming pool so it was making it challenging to enter and get out of the pool
The view from the room was breath taking. The suite was equipped with private Ham am and was amazing. We didn’t use many of the facilities so I can’t say about that. The stuff was absolutely friendly and kind. Some improvements need to be done in decorations in order for the rooms to look more cozy.

CanadaTV and Wi-Fi reception was poor. But it made for nice nights on the balcony watching the sun go down listening to the city.
Room was deluxe, (802), amazing view. Huge room. Nicely finished. Hotel is aged, but like most things in Greece it could do with updating. Overall the Wi-Fi never worked but I came for a break, and the disconnect was welcomed. Staff superb, the elevators were a little sketchy. Loved the architecture and style of the place. Felt like we were in a James Bond movie. Loved it.

GreeceThe rooms were large and spacious but generally looked aged and tired - in dire need of a makeover. Indeed the televisions too were old and the screens small. There were also major issues with the wifi which was very inconsistent - indeed more off than on! There are issues with lifts from the hotel to the town - three lifts but only one working whilst we were there and that one was damaged on one of the evenings.
The location of the hotel was excellent and the views from the rooms and pools spectacular. The beds were large and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful but seemed to have to be always sorting difficulties - see below!

United KingdomI was disappointed that the WiFi wasn't working all weekend.. that was a real issue for us. Also for the rate I paid, I would expect conditioner in the bathroom.
Lovely views from a beautiful room. It was great to have the lift to the town.

It’s a stunning location and you can tell it was an angling property at one time. The current owners are just keeping it alive to cover fixed costs. It’s mostly shut down, there is a skeleton crew and the facility is going to seed

United StatesEverything was old and distressed. I gave them an overall rating of fair because the property is so distressed and old but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. I feel bad for the staff who are faced with the many questions one has when they wander around.
This property is in an excellent location. Beautiful sunset views. The infinity pool was clean with a great view of the harbor. Room was spacious and clean. The staffing was sparse but they were very helpful and accommodating with what they are given. Given the fact that the rooms/villas were not full, it was very peaceful.

United KingdomProperty was described as a 5 star resort, I think I am being generous if I was to say it was a 3 star at best. Half of the resort was closed. The whole place felt deserted, neglected, outdated, badly maintained, shabby, no facilities or service. The lift access was vandalised, broken, covered in graffiti and smelt of urine, the fact that they thought it acceptable for guests to use this lift is disgraceful, I had to pay for taxi’s to and from the old town as I would absolutely not use that disgusting lift.
Location would have been perfect if the lift down the hillside to the old town was useable. The view was amazing.

United KingdomMost of the property is mothballed, with very few of the facilities as advertised on the website. I have visited many 5-Star hotels around the world and this is, without doubt, the worst one by a mile. On arriving at the main property, you are greeted by a big red ‘Do Not Enter’ sign and, with no one around, you wonder what you are expected to do. Intuition takes you to a grubby car park with signs to Reception. You go in a graffiti-strewn lift, descend one floor, and are met by a man who guides you to Reception. This is not based in the main building at all but is located in a sad little room among what remains of the rest of the accommodation. You pass boarded up windows, unkempt gardens, impossible-to-lie-on sun loungers, and you cannot help the feeling you have made a terrible, terrible mistake. Fortunately, we only used the hotel as a convenient base, from which to travel around the rest of Greece. Had we not done so, we would have felt trapped in our room, since there was no other spaces we could use. No lounge, no sitting room, no bar area. Nothing. It came as no surprise to discover there was no WiFi, the TVs were at least 30 years old, one of which did not work. It took 2 days to discover how to turn the lights on and off. There were lots of other issues, too many to mention here. One particular memory which will stay with me forever is the reply to my request for somewhere comfortable to relax. I was told to go sit on a chair in the breakfast room! The rooms are hugely expensive. The owners seem to be treating the property like a ‘cash cow’ until it eventually goes into administration.
