How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewStylish family run boutique hotel that was super clean and very friendly owners. Breakfast is made to order and delicious with handmade cakes, fresh fruit and eggs any style. The hotel is a 10min walk to the town or Beach which we liked as the town is quite busy in high season so it is nice to be in peaceful surroundings away from the hustle bustle.

Verified reviewThe stay was absolutely perfect. Location was great, walking distance to the centre, and right next to a supermarket and a bus stop that takes you to the most popular beaches. Verified reviewLove this hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable. Very well fitted out with good cupboard space and extras. Pool area is fab with comfy lounges. The bed is very comfortable. The staff are divine, they couldn’t do enough for us. They organised bookings, appointments, restaurants and more. Breakfast plentiful and lots of choice.

We rented a car for exploring Naxos but could walk into the main town easily from the hotel as well as a supermarket near by. Walking distance to a wonderful beach too! The breakfast every morning was delicious and made us so happy to have it on our balcony.

Verified reviewWe stayed at the Naxian Secret from the 3rd - 10th June and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! From the offset the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, trying to alleviate any concerns or uncertainty. We appreciated them messaging us the day before our arrival to organise our taxi transfer to the hotel. The location is great, a quick 10 minute walk to the beach, and a further 10 minutes onto Naxos town. We did the walk to town every day and didn’t find the need to pay for taxis, it was enjoyable to walk leisurely along the beach, especially at sunset. Nicolas provided a map of the island and highlighted key things to do and restaurant recommendations, which were all great. We booked the room with the hot tub which was incredible and even had 2 balconies! The room was spotless, and we really liked the decor and its amenities. Everything was thought out perfectly. The breakfasts are delicious and can be brought to your room or by the pool. Our preference was the pool, but it is nice to have the option. You choose what you would like to order the night before, and there are many options from continental to cooked. I am vegetarian and found there to be ampul choice. I particularly enjoyed the Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit, pastries, and a soya iced latte. Katerina would also make a special homemade treat to go alongside your breakfast, which could be a traditional Greek cake, pastry or crepes. It was absolutely perfect and set us up for the day. We had a couple of days relaxing by the pool, and enjoyed how quiet and peaceful the hotel is. No battling for sun beds, and it doesn’t feel busy at all. I am not sure if it stays that way throughout the peak of summer, but certainly felt like this during our stay. We would like to make a special mention to Flora, who we liaised with to book our rental car and some restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always on hand to help us in anyway.

Verified reviewWe loved the attention to detail that this resort offered. Katerina and team were so friendly and helpful. The home cooked breakfasts included with your stay were absolutely delicious. We loved the short walk to beaches, shops and Chora. The pool and room was designed beautifully with such a relaxing ambience. Katerina was so helpful in organising places to visit, rental cars and restaurants made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable plus homemade cake with your breakfast every morning. We would not stay anywhere else highly recommend Naxian Secret.

The rooms were immaculate and very well designed with two balconies for each which was perfect for morning and afternoon relaxation in the sun or out of the sun. But the very best part of the time here was the staff. Nikolas and Katerina were amazing! Not only were they wonderful hosts but they will book everything for you and have incredible recommendations for what to do on the island. And the breakfasts were delicious. Not to mention the homemade treats every morning that Nikolas’ mother baked. If I could give it 11 I would!

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Naxian Secret. Not just the property is beautiful but the staff is also extremely welcoming and helpful. They made us feel at home and anticipated our needs, for example, I asked them about suggestions to go to the beach and the offered us a beach umbrella! Exactly what we needed :-) Our room was spectacular, we had not 1 but 2 balconies, one with a hot tub. Our 'hardest' decision each morning was in which balcony we will have breakfast. Breakfast can be taken by the pool or in your room, a selection you make the night before. Nikolas took care of us every morning and proudly made us know about the extra special dish his mother prepared for the day. (Pastafrola was our favorite!). By the way he also prepare very good spritz at the pool bar. Access to Agios Georgios beach is very easy, we walked there every morning an it's a 5 min walk. We drove each night to go to Chora for dinner as the hotel is just outside town but is also walking distance if needed. To us, the location was a plus as it added to the relax vibe and open spaces. I would definitely stay again at Naxian Secret and I believe is an excellent choice to make your home away from home while exploring Naxos.
At least our room had the toilet door close to the bedroom. It's a nice glass frosted door (not really see-through) which goes well with the room architecture but a fully closed door might help your partner if you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night and turn on the light. I'm just nick picking on an architectural design choice. Our stay was perfect.

We loved it, but the only downfall is that you are away from The town and ocean. 15/20 minute walk to town.
