Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The location of the house was very central. The host was very attentive and sent every detail by email even before the stay began. We had parked our car in the wrong place, so the Greek police took our license plate and issued a fine. Thanks to Sakis for taking care of the matter and helping us resolve it. It would be a house I’d choose again if I came back 👍🏻

One thing to keep in mind is that it can be a bit challenging to find a parking spot on the street in front of the apartment during the day, although it usually becomes easier in the evening. Also, make sure to purchase parking tickets, as they are required for street parking.
I had a very pleasant stay at this apartment. The location is excellent – just a short walk to the beach and very close to restaurants, cafes and shops. Everything you need is within easy reach, which made our stay very convenient. I also appreciated the great communication with the host – whenever I needed something, they responded very quickly through the Booking.com chat, which made the whole experience even more comfortable. They are reliable people you can truly count on and trust. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous flat located in the heart of the city. It's probably the cleanest apartment I've ever stayed at!!! Me and my family absolutely loved it ♥️

The bathroom sink wasnt draining properly - might need to be unblocked.
The location was great, the house was very clean, the bed was comfy and all amenities were provided. Two adults were able to sleep on the pull out couch. There is a mini mart right across the street. The wifi connection was fast.

The apartment is designed for a couple and a third person with a double bedded bedroom and a comfortable couch in the living room it is not ideal for 3 singles but the double bed is big enough so it's not a major issue.
The apartment had all the amenities that one needs during a stay and it was very neat and clean.

Very cold floors. It seems like the apartment has an underfloor heating system, but I haven't figured out how to turn it on. Maybe it just doesn't work.

Everything was perfect , thank you very much to our kind host Sakis and his gentleman father . From now on it will be our home every time we come to Alexandroupoli. The location is really central, you can reach everywhere in just 5 minutes walking distances.

It was possible to find a free parking spot in front of the apartment. The apartment was clean and tidy. It was spacious and sunlit. Kitchen was adequate for a couple of days stay. Location was great, walking distance to cafes, dining, shopping and beach. There was also a large balcony, that would be a big plus for warmer weather. We were a family of 4 and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend staying at this property.

The apartment is located at the center of Alexandroupoli where you can find amazing restaurants and cafes nearby. It was pretty spacious and comfortable for two. You can find free parking spots on the street. The complimentary Kavala kourabiedes were so delicious.
