Reviews of Nikola's Apartments

The location was good for the family. It was quiet and near the sea. The apartment was very clean at our arrival and well facilitated for a family with children. We liked the big balcony with sea view.

The apartment wasn't cleaned again during our six days stay and there is a serious problem in the kitchen cupboards with the smell of mold. Moreover, I had to call the owner and ask for clean fresh sheets and towels on the third day, note that we just got the sheets in a pack and I have to make the beds on my own. In addition, they didn't provide toilet paper without request and I had to ask also for chlorine to clean the toilet myself. Definitely, the provided services do not justify the price.

The location and the terrace.

The only good thing about this accomodation is its proximity to the beach. The apartment is quite small, especially the room with the bunk beds, that are placed really close to the bathroom and the kitchen. The images on Booking are taken with an enlargement lens. Altough the size of the apartment is mentioned on the listing, the photographs are misleading. The owners live upstairs and are the most unwelcoming greeks I ever encountered, in 11 years of traveling to Greece, this is my first negative review. They are really loud and unconsiderate with their guests. The grandma was showing a sour face if you asked for anything. Although they knew we will arrive really late, due to plane delay in Thessaloniki, and the shops were all closed, they didnt provide the apartment with even a small bottle of water while the tap water is salty and not drinkable. It is 80 cents a 2l bottle!!! The bathrom is very small and the shower cabin non existent, you practically shower on the floor and on the top of the toilet. Athough we were travelling with a baby, and we asked for a cot in advance, they didnt provided for us until we asked for it. The same with the toilet paper, only 1 roll for 3 people in 7days, and we had to go usptairs and ask for an other one each time we needed (3 times total). And they dont, or dont want to, speak english, maybe they hope beacause of that, the guests will not ask them much and buy their own toilet paper insted. The air conditioning was not working because they left us another remote control, again, maybe hoping we wont ask for/use the air conditionning. The person who answers to the booking messages is very polite and responsive, but after we arrived there, he asked us to talk with the owners and ask them for everything we needed, but the communication is very poor since they dont speak english at all.

Its a ground floor bedsit attached to the family home with another bedsit above. The place was clean, rustic but serviceable. Did i like it? Yes it was very relaxing and although not private the family were very friendly and would help as best they could even though they did not speak English. The location was great, ideal for the best sunsets in the area. Nice walks from house, take water, its hot. Ideal if you have a car as there are lots of other gorgeous beaches in the area. Overall, I loved it.

Leaving.

The apartment is ideally located near the sea and the village facilities, but on a very quiet side of the village itself. The apartment is very clean and the owner is kind. The kitchen equipment is a bit basic, but we asked for some more tools and they immediately gave us what we asked for.

The apartment is quite smaller than it looks like in the pictures; I suggest to check the dimensions in the description. When we arrived the fridge was switched off, not a big deal.

The sea and the beach

Excellent location, very close to Toroni beach. The beach is very good, clean water and no rocks.. There is a free parking place. The apartment (the one with sea view) has a nice porch and provides with a privacy. The building is nice and in good condition. Amazing view with the sunset. The host was very friendly and helpful. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Sea-food restaurants in Toroni are not the best ones, but close are available to several good ones. (Porto Cufo, 1,5 km)

No oven, no microwave, no BBQ, very poor wi-fi signal not available even at the porch, no even salt available. No TV programs (even 1) available. Rooms are much smaller than appear in photos. Pictures are mixed for both apartments (sea view and garden view). The air conditioner is placed in the kids' room, so if you need to cool the bedroom through an opened door, the temperature in the kids' room is very low.

Location. Plenty of hot water.

No trash bin. No mosquito protection. No extra toilet paper No coffee machine. Not a single water in the fridge when we came. No cleaning or sheets replacement for a week. The personal didn't speak english at all. Not a single word.
