Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyOur stay in Athens was truly wonderful. The staff, always smiling and attentive, made us feel warmly welcomed. The room was beautifully kept, the breakfast delicious, and the romantic boat day they arranged for us will remain a cherished memory. An experience we sincerely recommend to anyone seeking authenticity and kindness

This hotel is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! The exterior is 200 years old with a great garden and the interiors are futuristic.. The room has a Projector, instead of a TV,an app in our phone controls the curtains, air conditioner too! There is a small nook table with stacked books too for the book worms out there. But what stood out for us was the EXEMPLARY SERVICE.. The reception is 24 hours and they are helpful with directions, explaining the workings and a cool chat.. The charming Elios welcomed us very warmly and helped us find the best places around.. We had great fun and utilised and enjoyed the room thoroughly.. The icing on the beautiful cake was that they provided us with our Breakfast even though we had to leave at 3.50 a.m in the morning!! Constantinos, who greeted us in the morning right on time with the taxi they booked for us,was sunshine himself.. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer in the hotel... We came as a couple but they have all kinds of rooms.. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a pleasant stay in the Athens! It stands true to its name, No Ordinary Things...!

NetherlandsWi-Fi/ internet speed - was very slow and often when using the projector to stream it would cut out and buffer. The digital experience is very very poor compared to the physical product. A lot of effort went into to the physical experience, branded items, lot of care in designing the rooms, but the digital experience is very poor. There is a web link (unsecured direct ip address). no branding, visuals are super basic. Not what you expect from a detail oriented hotel. If you want to do a digital experience give it the same level of detail as your physical product. Otherwise just don’t do it and keep it all analog.
The design of the rooms, the architecture, beds are comfy, good amenities in the rooms. A little escape in Athens

AustraliaIt was perfect, stunning hotel. It is located in the most amazing area which appears so industrial and is a true surprise when you see inside their front door. The whole place is an oasis. The rooms are a wonderful, eclectic, luxurious design. Sound proofing was great. The pool area was gorgeous. The staff were lovely and helpful. We recommend this as the perfect boutique hotel.

Wow - no detail has been missed at this extraordinary boutique hotel. Its calm and cool, all rolled into one. We had trouble with our flights on check out and the team were incredibly helpful and accommodating to ensure we were well looked after. We travel quite a bit and it is rare to get such personalised and authentic service.

Saudi ArabiaSome amenities felt a bit too minimal for a boutique hotel—no in-room coffee or added touches that usually elevate the experience. Also, sound insulation could be better for a more restful stay.
The location is excellent—central, walkable, and surrounded by vibrant spots. The design is modern and stylish, and the room was clean and comfortable.

IsraelThe dining room on the top floor overlooks the Acropolis. The food was excellent, fresh and a combination of traditional Greek and Western food. The breakfast is set menu and you can order as much as you want. The experience that the hotel offers is extraordinary. From the rooms that are decorated in detail, to the quiet and warmth of the hotel (it is an adults-only hotel), to the uncompromising, pampering and warm service that the entire hotel staff provides. We were never refused any of our requests, as far as they were concerned, everything was possible just to make us feel like we were on vacation in every way! Highly recommended!

New ZealandPersonally, I would have liked to have some more non sweetened muesli/cereal options, but really, this is nitpicking. The view from the breakfast area is also good! Because of the heat, we couldn't walk around the area too much- I would describe the area as "regenerating"- perfectly safe to walk around, but in reality, a cab ride to most museums/ acropolis etc ( although not an expensive cab ride using Uber), or train (which we didnt try).
Breakfast is very special- with an excellent range of breads and pastries brought as standard to your table. Orange juice and coffees are spot on. They will make eggs of your choice. The service is very friendly and prompt. You might need to be careful with how much you have, as many/most things are quite sweet. The design ethos of the whole ( Not) Hotel is fabulous- it really is very stylish. We understand the building/ rebuilding of this took 10 years in the making. Our bed was superb. The pool is a good size, and the seating around the pool is very comfortable. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It was very hot when we stayed- so we were grateful for excellent AC in our room. There is a train/underground station only about 200 M or so up the road- so access is easy! The hotel will also provide you on request with a range of nice sandwiches, and quite large salad plates-- I have appended a photo of one- really nice and will do for a full meal ( so you don't ever have to move!) Speaking of moving- the newly installed gym is really good- and again, stylish and clean. The gym room has good AC and fans, and is very usable. We'd return in a heartbeat.

United KingdomThe aircon was set on 27degrees full blast and we couldn’t change it . At 4 am we finally asked the desk staff who said they would and it stayed at 27degrees all night … apparently they couldn’t either. They said they would make us a ‘breakfast to go ‘as we left early 7.30 , and it was two half cheese sandwiches and a banana . Could have done better there . However overall we have given it good scores because we still left with a great experience and a night well spent watching the sun go down over the most amazing Greek temples in a magical setting.
It was very unique and designer , quirky and charming . Great location near the Acropolis . Edgy neigbourhood. Quality fittings . Nice menu , if a little limited . Very friendly happy staff and intimate surroundings .

FranceA true urban haven — refined and welcoming. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear that NotHotel embraces a different philosophy: a carefully curated aesthetic, a rare attention to detail, and above all, a warm, professional, and genuinely human welcome. Everything feels smooth, elegant, and comfortable, without ever slipping into the impersonal standards of large hotel chains. The location is perfect for exploring Athens on foot, yet the hotel also offers a peaceful retreat from the scorching heat — a place you’re genuinely happy to return to. Highly recommended without hesitation

GermanyThe breakfast could have been better for a five star level. It comes a la carte, which is nice, but the selection of bread and ham/cheese is not the best. Despite of that, lunch/diner is quite good. Although you can switch off ac, the ventilation stays on, which causes noise in the room.
The Boutique design of the hotel is amazing. It’s centered around the pool and gives a really private, calm atmosphere. The service was nice and friendly.

An oasis in the middle of a fairly busy neighbourhood. You can’t imagine what a sanctuary lies beyond the external walls and front door. A beautiful, elegant and tranquil place.
