How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewOur experience at Ostria Inn was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming family made us feel completely at home. Every detail of the property is thoughtfully curated—elegant, comfortable, and effortlessly beautiful. The food was a highlight: authentic, delicious, and clearly prepared with love. The setting is tranquil and serene, with a quiet charm that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming of our return.
There was nothing which we did not like. It was perfect and magical. Wished they had swag(mug, t-shirt or Christmas Ornament) to bring home.

Verified reviewWords are not enough to descrive this magical place. The location is amazing, despite a bit far from center (~1 h) the hotel is close to the beautiful beaches of the islands and cozy villages. The unique position in front of the sea create magic landscapes. The hospitality is another highlight of Ostria in where every detail is well designed to welcome and embrace guests. The food is the best we tried in Naxos so far.

Not sure about the menu of the restaurant. Ask well before arriving about activities, there are some lovely things to do.

Verified reviewEverything! Every detail here invites you to slow down and relax. The view of the sea is amazing (don’t miss sunrise). There is a beautiful , clear blue, small beach with chairs and umbrellas just steps away as well as a large pool. Excellent service (also at the beach and pool) and all the staff had a keen eye for details and service. I enjoyed the exceptional local Naxian food and organic wines at their restaurant. The fishing village of Moutsouna is a short walk away and other beaches are only a few minutes drive away. But you don’t ever need to leave here- It’s a very welcoming and calm vibe where I just didn’t want to leave. I cannot say enough to thank Eirini and her team for creating the perfect place to get away and relax. I will definitely return.
There isn’t anything!

Verified reviewEirini and her staff have created a magical space. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us like friends and treated us like family for the week we where there. We got an unexpected upgrade upon arrival, and the team immediately understood what we liked and didn’t and went out of their way constantly to be helpful and kind. The facilities and location are stunning and filled with small tasteful details. The pool, rooms, restaurant and beach are each beautiful and enjoyable. The food in the restaurant is the best in Naxos and outstanding by any culinary standard. Most of all, the team (Eirini, Kostas, Yianni, Lula) make this a phenomenal place. We’ll be back!

Verified reviewThe hotel is very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is located on the east side of the island near a very small village. Any visits to the west side of the island (the more popular side) require a drive up and down the serpantine road crossing the island's central mountains and takes more than an hour. That said: the east side of Naxos is beautiful and unspoiled - there are a number of fantastic beaches which are not overcrowded. Perfect for those who want to 'escape' and enjoy peace and quiet.
The down side of being on the east side of Naxos: there are relatively few restaurants. The restaurant in the Ostria Inn was very nice and the food was quite good - but a pricey. Breakfast is not a buffet - but a set menu (which can be altered for personal preferences) which is brought to the table. The hotel was nice - however also quite pricey for a 3-star hotel.

Verified reviewThis inn is AMAZING! I could enjoy it as a single person and the inn would also be a romantic couples destination. The food was spectacular! I didn't want to eat breakfast or dinner anywhere else, I just wish I could have tried Everything on the menu. The room and the grounds were clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and always helpful and wanting to provide you with whatever needed. The beach was clean and loungers were provided at no cost. The water was warm and the view was Beautiful! I had a wonderful room with a patio that I could see the beach and a sunrise. I didn't want to leave they inn and would definitely stay here again!
I wouldn't change a thing!
