Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomExcellent value rustic villa, great staff and incredible views! Niko’s Tavern (on-site) had amazing food and service. If you like hiking the trail goes from the doorstep to Chora (c.16km) taking in an ancient village and the monastery.

ItalyThe hotel is just above a crowded restaurant where quite often they do live music… quite noisy in the evening, in relation to the tranquility of the place
The position of the hotel is very nice, aside of a mountain with a wonderful view of all Aegiali Gulf; it’s a typical Greek construction, all white and blu; the breakfast is very good with many homemade cakes and Rena is very kind and professional

GreeceThe bathroom needs renovation. Everything in the bathroom is old, the shower is tiny and has no shower curtain, so the water floods the floor.
Comfortable bed, decent towels, easy access, very friendly and polite staff.

GermanyI felt deceived about the beds. In the description it says Queen Bed. This is not truth, there are only single beds in both bedrooms and to be honest I would not book the accommodation knowing that my husband and I will be sleeping in separate beds for 2 weeks. Maybe this is not an issue for other people but I still believe the information is misleading. Furthermore, the description states the property has 2 bathrooms, the second bathroom is an outside shower, maybe this needs to be clarified for those who are seeking a real second bathroom.
We rented the small villa (Lila house) which is separate from the main hotel and has beautiful views and a a nice terrace. We really enjoyed the welcoming touch from the stuff, especially lovely Michail was a wonderful host.

United KingdomQuite dated decor - but I think this added to the charm.
The place had so much charm. Lots of little splashes of colour, flair and interest. The room was basic but charming and equipped well. I loved the shared balcony. The host and staff were all so friendly and kind with their time. Lovely location in a sleepy, picturesque, stunning village above the port.

NetherlandsFacilities and the room are quite dated and basic (e.g. the toilet doesn’t flush properly and splashes everywhere, the kitchenette has only very basic utensils, the mattress and pillows are not good).
Beautiful location with a soul, that looks like it gets the love and care from its owner and staff. Facilities and the room are quite dated and basic, but the authentic feel to the location and warm & welcoming staff compensate for it.

United KingdomThe only thing I’d change is the brightness of the bulb in our room…. It was very dim, but that’s not a big problem!
The Pagali hotel and Nikos’s taverna next door are in a green oasis of beautiful trees and plants in the very lovely hill village of Lagada. The hosts Nikos and Ioanna and their son Manou are all very lovely people who make staying and eating there a pleasure. The food is fantastic, especially the baked aubergine 👌Most villagers seem to use mules for transport around the narrow village paths, which makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time in the best possible way. Walking routes from the village are well signed and take you to some fantastic viewpoints as well as linking the village to Tholaria (45mins) and down to Egiali (25 mins) down by the sea. The sunset views over the small Cyclades islands are amazing from Lagada. We’d thoroughly recommend it if you want peace and quiet and spectacular views.

PolandAll was perfect - however, if you are a huge fan of extreme comfort, do not hesitate to ask all the relevant questions.
We spend there 9 days (me + 3 kids aged 14, `12 and 9) - it was a WONDERFUL time. The place has amazing common spaces with breathtaking views, lots of decorative plants and a very pleasant vibe. The hotel has a restaurant and a bakery, the restaurant is excellent. The village is beautifully located and it has something close to trurly Greek spirit - with narrow streets (we saw donkeys used for transportation of building materials, since some of the streets are narrow and have steps). We would love to stay there longer. The trade-off for the atmosfere is that the see is a bit away, but this is what we wanted. The walk to the see was our daily pleasure and making it daily got us in shape (if you do not like to walk, there's bus and taxis, but you miss a lot). The rooms are exactly as on the photos (at least our room was), so we knew exactly what we are going to get - but the photos do not give proper credit to a whole hotel. The breakfast was very good. If you want some unspoiled Greek experience, relaxed atmosphere - that's the place! Also visit a nearby tavern (cretean one) for ice cream! One of the photos shows our balcony view, the other one (with chairs) - the views you get for breakfast. It seems that the place is a great base for hiking around - we left the option unexplored, as we spent most of the time in an excellent diving center in Aegiali (Best greetings to mr. Dimitris!). The contact with the hosts was flawless, we are grateful to Nikos and Joanna, and Michael took care of us!

AustraliaThe room was tiny and didn’t fit our quite large suitcases. The bed was a high wooden framed one that you had to climb onto with effort, as well as clamber over your partner to get in and out of…really uncomfortable and awkward. The bedroom did not have any windows nor in the bathroom. There was one narrow door to the balcony which when open blocked the narrow door of the next room. The balcony was shared with 3 other rooms, not private as the photo on booking.com suggested. We would have left if the payment had not already been taken out of our account before arriving. We ended up hiring a car so that we could leave straight after breakfast and come back late each evening.
The location was lovely for the views and the outdoor areas that were around the hotel, terraces with comfortable seating and colourful decor. The restaurant beside (all run by extended family) it was excellent with amazing food and lovely staff. The gift shop was run by a delightful woman and had locally made oils and a range of products.

Family run Hotel and Taverna, with most friendly and helpful people, beautiful location in a small village with views to mountain and sea . The Taverna serves the most amazing meals with organic produce from their own farm . They even have their own bakery attached to the hotel with delicious sweets and cakes.
