How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe room was charming & very spacious. The bed was very comfortable, as was the fold out for the kids. The hosts were very friendly & helpful. Location was wonderful too. We wished we could stay longer!
Just a note that the rooms are located upstairs, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up a decent flight of stairs.

Verified reviewIf I could give more than 10 - I would. This hotel is the best location for Athens, walking is easy everywhere. The room was beautiful and clean, Christos was super helpful and very easy to communicate with. We got tons of snacks and even a bottle of wine, and great recommendations for places to eat and visit. Lots of food to prepare a nice breakfast to eat on the lovely balcony. Do not look any further - book this place!! Best value for money. Thank you Christos :)

Verified reviewThe property was absolutely perfect: enough space for our family, with all the facilities we could use (and more). The setup was lovely, the breakfast was amazing, coffee and a big spread of many possible options we could prepare in the comfort of our room. The balcony was a special touch; so lovely to sit outside and enjoy people watching. The staff were amazing: accommodating, lovely, ready to help with anything.
There was nothing I did not like, it was a perfect stay.

Verified reviewVery friendly and helpful reception, gave some great tips of places to go. The suite was clean, spacious and well-equipped with a powerful shower and beautiful bathroom suite. It had a nicely appointed feel to it with new furnishings and a lovely balcony. It is, in a fantastic location close to all the ancient sites in central Athens as well as the lively Monastiraki area. The breakfast provided in the room had plenty of tasty options and we were welcomed with a very pleasant bottle of local wine. Would thoroughly recommend.
The only negative was some of the fruit looked slightly out of date, but that is being a bit picky considering the overwhelmingly positive experience.

Verified review- Breakfast in the room. - “Hotel” is in Plaka district, so everything is very near (attractions, restaurants, shops…)
- Cleaning lady came before 11:00 when was check out time. So when we came to the room after seeing Akropolis, we had no possibility to take shower or anything else. We just packed and go. - I made reservation for two separate beds and got one double bed. - You can hear all surrounding noise (from the street which is a pedestrian street with a lot of shops and people and you can hear what is going on inside the house). - Hotel doesn’t have reception, so the host needs to know the exact time of arrival, what can be quite annoying if you want to enjoy Athens without a plan and come to the hotel whenever you want.
Dear Metka, Thank you very much for your preference in Pandrosos Divine Suites. In reply to your review we would like to inform you in detail. Pandrosos Divine Suites is a boutique hotel which is located in Plaka. The traditional Plaka is the old town of Athens and the only protected area(there are a lot of monuments) from archaeology in Athens. It is the most secure area of Athens. 90% of the hotels in Plaka don’t have reception or reception is not at the same area with the hotel. The reception is located in another area, a 7-minute walk away. For Pandrosos Divine Suites there are employees 24/7 who exclusively serve the guests of Pandrosos Divine Suites and be there to check you in as well as to help you with anything you may need. Every night from 10:00pm to 6:00am there is a security 15 meters from the hotel entrance and there is 24/7 service for anything our guest may need. Your room was cleaned before 11:00am but no one forbade you from using the bathroom! You had unlimited access to your room to take a shower. In all your conversations with the hotel staff, you never mentioned that there was a problem with your reservation. Instead you mentioned that everything was fine and thanked us. In addition, you never called us or sent a message or email to complain to us. We really can not understand why you are referring to the double bed since the room you booked was Divine Suite with terrace, a room which as shown in the photos and information of Booking.com does not have two separate beds. The reservation you made was the number 6070362288 and it was Divine Suite with terrace as shown on Booking.com (there is a photo on Booking.com site that we can send you to remind you exactly which room you booked) So we kindly inform you that you stayed in the room you booked on Booking.com which both from it’s description and from it’s photos on Booking.com site, it is very clear that it doesn’t have two separate beds! Instead it has one king size bed. We would like to inform you that from May 15, 2023, all exterior frames were changed and additional sound insulation was added. No noise from outside can be heard in the rooms anymore. In the room next to the bedroom, we noticed that you had left the balcony door slightly open. If you check our customer reviews you will see that after May 15, 2023 there are no complaints about outside noise. We hope to have the chance of welcoming you back in Pandrosos Divine Suites in the near future and do our almost best to offer you an impeccable stay. Warm regards George Papoutsis Pandrosos Divine Suites

The host is so generous, he prepare all the food and drinks for our breakfast, and even some snacks like nuts and dried fruit. The location is superb! Verified reviewLovely small hotel, Christos and his wife couldn't do enough for us. It was clean and well maintained, good stocked fridge and food for breakfast - and ideal location in the centre of Athens. Huge balcony. Can recommend.
No lift, so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as all rooms upstairs at level one or level two.

Verified reviewThe owner was friendly and prompt to respond to our question via WhatsApp. Direction and info were clear. Things provided in our suite were thoughtful, and good quality. This boutique hotel is right in the middle of Plaka where we found charming businesses and ambiance of the neighborhood.
Not criticisms but small suggestions: 1. Add extra towel hoops in the bathroom 2. Add a couple of small kitchen cloths to be used in the pantry and sink area and include small hooks to hang them. That would eliminate guests using the white bathroom towels to wipe direct spills etc. 3. Add a list of recommended shops or local businesses close by, with discount suggestions. This helps the guests where best to shop, and also bring good will to neighbour businesses. 4. Make it clear how many levels of stairs the guests need to climb to manage their expectations. This is better then finding out when they arrive 😁
