Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWine was heavily marked up in some restaurants. 125 euros for a wine that was available in the supermarket for 25 euros. Breakfast was a la Carte rather than a buffet. Breakfast choice was good but sometimes a little hit and miss with the orders. The dishes came beautifully presented but sometimes a little slow and it was harder to get exactly what you wanted as you would do with a buffet.
The restaurants were fabulous, the watersports facilities very good. The staff were amazing throughout and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. Our room was spacious clean and with a lovely view. We had a Peninsula Collection One bedroomed suite which was on two floors and with its own swim up pool. We loved being able to dine in the Elounda Mare and the trip there by water taxi was great! We loved the area of beach that was exclusive to Peninsula Guests.

United KingdomReception area doesn’t offer refreshments which means you can’t have a drink to see that view while waiting for a taxi to head out for dinner. Staff in the pool restaurant area didn’t speak great English so would get our order incorrect quite often. Food order taken before drinks order which seemed odd.
Quality of the area, and access to sea

United StatesEverything was perfect.
Wow wow wow. If you are looking for paradise in Crete, this is it. The service from the incredible staff at the hotel is absolutely incomparable. Everyone from the front desk and the check in process to the actual management of the hotel are absolutely wonderful. The beach wait staff is equally hardworking and wonderful. Everyone is there to greet you with a smile and do everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful vacation. Clearly there is wonderful management here and that shows. The location is beautiful and breathtaking. The service is top notch. Don't get me started on the food-- every restaurant was spectacular and each meal better than the next. A wonderful vacation!

HungaryEverybody is together with everybody. They have a huge land, they should give some space to someone without children. Screaming all day. That is annoying for someone who pays a lot of money for a villa... I don't quite understand the management. They want everything and everybody, but it is not organised well. No-one asked us how are we doing, what is our opinion. Actually I didn't see anybody from the management during our 7 days stay. If they spent time with the customers they would have feedback, and they could grow...! The restaurants were very good, but the Italian restaurant (I loved the restaurant itself) needs to have better, more authentic food!
Location and the staff. Everybody is very friendly and nice. ...except the manager guy at breakfast. He has a weird over-friendly style. The restaurants were very good. Housekeeping is also great!

FranceThe prices for food are too much, especially for Greece. The water in the villas private pool is very cold. You can heat it up for €100 per night, but keep in mind you’ll be heating up all the private pools in your row as they are connected at the bottom. A baby cot is €20 per night which also seems crazy considering the money payed for the hotel stay. Some parts of the resort seem very “old money”. I personally enjoyed the vibe, but it’s not for everyone.
Excellent service. Excellent spa. Heated pools. Beautiful clean sea. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa which was huge. Every room with its own shower and toilet. Very nice. The view from the villa was simply gorgeous. We enjoyed the free boat rides to the restaurants at Elounda mare. The Old mill and the yacht club are above and beyond. Very good food. The six senses spa is fantastic. Wellness packages are a good deal. Overall a wonderful vacation with lots of relaxation.

United KingdomIt would have been nice to be able to walk into a village or have access to the other sister hotels, a walking path or similar. The restaurants were so expensive, rather ‘sterile’ and not as good as the authentic characterful ones in the village. As the weather was so bad we used the indoor swimming pool lots but it was a pain to have to keep asking for the sauna to be heated and no guarantee that there wouldn’t be someone else in it using your time.
the design and location were fantastic

Kazakhstan- Location: The hotel is in a very windy bay. During our stay (early June), strong gusts of wind were constant and made the entire outdoor experience unpleasant. The sea was also extremely cold, which, combined with the weather, made it nearly impossible to enjoy the beach or pool. - Food: Incredibly disappointing across the board. We had dinner at all of the hotel’s restaurants, and the food quality was consistently poor. The portions were more like starters than main courses, and the flavors didn’t match the descriptions on the menu at all. What you get on the plate rarely reflects what you read — it’s as if they gave up halfway through execution. On top of that, prices are unjustifiably high. At lunchtime, the only open option was the pool bar, where I was served what may have been the worst burger I’ve ever eaten — dry, bland, and clearly thrown together without any care. And even this bar closes at 4pm. But the final chord was the lunch boxes prepared for our early departure: two slices of white bread with mayonnaise and a very thin slice of sausage in between. A glass of water, a glass of juice, an apple, and a plum. - Staff: Cold, unfriendly, and at times downright rude. Most concerning of all: they repeatedly entered our room without knocking. This happened multiple times and made us feel like our privacy was constantly being invaded. You have to repeat your order in restaurants several times and remind the waiters about what they forgot to bring. - WiFi : works very poorly around the hotel. It's impossible to even check your email on the beach - Spa Certificate: Upon check-in, we were handed a voucher for 2 hours of free spa access — a seemingly kind gesture. But in bold letters it said: “Adults only”. We were two adults traveling with a 4-year-old child. How exactly were we expected to use it? It felt more like an insult than a gift.
The hotel grounds are well-kept. Housekeeping is done daily and very thoroughly — one of the few consistent positives during our stay.

United KingdomRoom service was very average quality and expensive, so not good value for money. The Il Borro was described as a fine dining experience, but we found it to be again, overpriced and the food was nothing special, we dined there only once during our 10 day stay. Spa treatements were also overpriced.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was tasty and a very nice experience, again staff were brilliant here.
