Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had a room in the basement so no windows, I had booked this by mistake. The room was large, amazingly dark and the aircon made it so cool, I liked the room. The location is amazing and the area is completely pedestrian. We enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomThe rooms could be kept cleaner and the breakfast could be refilled more regularly during service hours. The TV would also not connect to the internet which was annoying but apart from that it was great. Would definitely stay again!
The property is in a great location and all the staff are wonderful.

EstoniaBathroom: * I'm pretty sure there was mold in the shower area * Something seemed wrong with the toilet. It sometimes smelled very strongly of urine, I haven't seen such a thing before. I think there might be a small leak or something. I could see the silicone sealant had been destroyed for a long time already * The lock on the door works poorly and if you don't know the trick to opening it (push against it) then you might get stuck there * the shower doors did not close properly Bedroom: * The linen we were given had multiple holes in it Balcony: * Glass was cracked, but that's a small nitpick
Amazing location. Good looking hotel. Good breakfast. There was a lot wrong with our stay but I'm being extremely generous with the 8/10 rating because I can give up a lot of things for a hotel that is in a beautiful part of town. All the other places I looked at were at ugly places, but I absolutely loved walking around the hotel area, enjoying the view from the balcony and I felt safe. If it was any other hotel, I would give it a 5/10 rating at best because of all the problems. Which is a real shame, because the hotel absolutely has the potential to be 10/10

United KingdomWe had an issue with the A/C in our room as there wasn’t a remote control, and the reception didn’t have a spare…it ended up being freezing in the night but we found some blankets on the wardrobe so it wasn’t too much of an issue.
We love this area and would rate it as one of the best locations in Athens. Overlooking the Acropolis, just set back from the crazy busy tourist trail. Clean room and super helpful staff who on realising that we were four adults, changed our quad room to two doubles which we didn’t ask for or expect. Excellent breakfast too! We chose this hotel having stayed on the area before and it’s literally steps away from cine Thissio, one of the best outdoor cinemas in Athens.

Czech RepublicWith balconies facing main street it could be difficult to sleep, people stay outside till late. Soundproofing the balcony door could help, I think. Check-out at 12 was very welcome and the breakfast was also great with variety of foods and drinks, even lactose free milk :-)
The hotel is centraly located, perfect for going out to explore Athens. I liked the kettle and the opportunity to make some hot drinks. I appreciate the service provided by the lady receptionist in the evening who was friendly and helpful, my room got an upgrade so I had a wonderful view, balcony is perfect to watch sunrise.

AustraliaThe room was a bit cramped for three people and there was not a lot of room for suitcases. The TV was mounted fairly low on the wall and close to the end of the bed so you had to be careful not to hit it with your shoulder. Some hotels nearby have a rooftop bar and unfortunately this one does not have a bar or even a sitting area up top despite the nice views afforded from that part of the building, which is a shame.
The location of this solid three star hotel cannot be beaten. A few minutes' walk from Thissio station, which is no issue even with luggage. It's in a pedestrian area so feels safe and it's quiet in the evening even with people dining streetside as is common everywhere in Athens. Very close to the flea market and central area of Athens; you can walk to all of the major tourist attractions without any issue. Good wifi andgreat breakfast with lots of choice, with some Greek options such as pastries. Free luggage storage and the staff are very friendly. An easy walk to the Acropolis, only 10 minutes' walk up the pedestrian street. Monk Hill is nearby the Acropolis entrance (turn right instead of left as you approach after leaving the hotel) and it's a fabulous place to watch the sun set over Athens and the Acropolis Hill ruins.

Loved the staff, particularly Grace at reception, who helped us immensely. And always had a big smile. The rooms were scrupulously clean, ours had a lovely view of the Acropolis,. The location is ideal, next to the Acropolis and across the pedestrian street from the park at the base of the Acropolis and the temple of Hephaestus.
