How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe room is big and nice. The host is just amazing, very friendly and easy to talk to. He was also very flexible with checking in and out. You get offered fruit, water and other beverages, so nice! The dog is also adorable!
The bathroom is for private use but you have to go out to the corridor to get in there, there is no door directly from the bedroom. But the host is so nice and friendly that it was ok. There is also a road right by the house.

Verified reviewNikos and his mother Argyi were very friendly and generous. Their kind treats - from local Greek food and fresh eggs to sweets and fruits and their recommendations made our holiday even better.
Instead of walking down towards the beach, we preferred to go to Elli Beach through new town - also one of Nikos' recommendations (when the weather is windy). The first route was a bit steep for us.

Verified reviewI have never been so welcome in my long history of travels as I was in this house. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They even gave us boiled eggs from their own chickens! The place was 10 mins away from the old town, the new town and the nearest beach. Very comfy, large room with a fridge full of complimentary products such as water, wine, fruits and juice.

Verified reviewOur hosts were excellent. We loved them very much. They gave us many treats. They were friendly, kind people. The house was extremely comfortable and the location of the house was also very good. It was a very good experience for us to see and get to know another culture. If we go again, we would like to stay there again. Especially mother Argyro won our hearts.
Everything was great.
you are very kind people ❤️ you stay in our hard.

Verified reviewIt was a wonderful stay in Rhodes. The highlight was definitely the hosts, who made us feel very welcomed. It’s rare to find a fridge stocked up with beers, wine, Coca Cola, cold water and even fresh watermelon, but those are the things that make a huge difference. The lady even gave us ice cream and cooked some eggs from her own chickens 😍 The house is big and spacious, so was our room and bathroom. Overall we had a really, really nice time in this place and I’d highly recommend it to other travellers.
This is just for me personally, because we didn’t have a car in Kos, but it’s quite a steep walk up to the house so if you’re planning a few forth and backs in a day - be prepared for an exercise.
thank you very much for your stay

Verified reviewThe room is very comfortable and clean (same as the bathroom). The property is at an excellent location, which is 10-20 min away by foot from the beach, the city center, the old town and the archaeological acropolis of Rhodes. The hosts were extremely nice to us. They offered help with navigating the island, like renting a car or booking a transfer service or suggesting a restaurant, and they even offered us some fresh fruit that they produce. They made us feel very much at home.

Verified reviewThe real family atmosphere, great cuisine and products from the countryside farm of the owner's relatives. The very comfortable large room with a private fridge and air conditioning, access to the kitchen and a pleasant garden at the back of the house. The ideal place to rest with a glass of wine in the shade of old trees during days, and a garden barbecue for grilling at night.. Thankyou for Your hospitality.
A little busy road in front of the house, but you can hardly hear car engines sitting in the garden.
thank you very much for your stay 😌

Verified reviewAlready before arrival we had contact with the owner of this accomodation, for the latest update for the ongoing wooden fire on Rhodos. The owner, Nicos, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived - at 04.45 in the morning. Btw, he is really super-friendly 😀 The room and the bathroom were both perfectly clean.. The room included a big combined fridge/freezer for our food, and we were welcome to use the shared kitchen. The family has a farm with hens outside Rhodos city, and we were allowed to take fresh eggs for breakfast every day.. They have a dog in the apartment, but it is very silent and a bit shy. The house is placed about 12 minutes walking distance from the beach and from Rhodos Old Town. Flexible check-in and check out times (if the room is available). I can highly recommend this room for your stay on Rhodos Town..
thank you very much for your stay with us.

Verified reviewWe felt so comfortable, like staying with family. We were welcomed with kindness and generosity, and could not have had a better stay. Wish we could have stayed longer! The location was great for us as we did not have a car and could easily walk everywhere, while being away from the busier areas.
There was nothing negative for us at all.

Verified reviewOur 1st meeting was with Nikos who had come to look for us as we were lost, we were then welcomed by his wonderful mother Argyro and invited to join them to enjoy a delicious lunch she had prepared. Over the next 7 days we met their friends and family including the lovely Maria and were welcomed as if we were old friends. Our very private room had table and chairs and a fridge that was stocked but if we needed anything else then we could help ourselves in the kitchen. Argyro made us a lovely breakfast every morning and I feel very lucky to have met this wonderful lady and her family who were generous but also didn’t overwhelm us and gave us privacy. We liked the location 20 minutes walk to the old town and even closer to nearby cafes and restaurants. If you want to experience staying with a traditional generous helpful interesting family you should ask if you can come here

Verified reviewEverything here exceeded the expectation of what normally considered ‘a perfect stay’. First day I arrived, Nikos and his mother (I called her my grandma) gave me a mango picked from their own garden. I was fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the fabulous house, to join their family meals, and to be looked after as if I’m part of the family. The bedroom itself was as beautiful as the pictures presented. Spacious, airy room with two big windows, one embraces the view of the sea; bedside lights and plugs, a lockable door. There’s a fridge (very useful) and a table with four chairs inside your room. Extra blanket and a fan. Drinkable tap water from the shared kitchen. Everything on the checklist, PLUS the privilege to have your own private bathroom and laundry. Splendid. The house is clean, welcoming, and just like home. Grandma always made me fresh juice or breakfast even when I woke up late in the afternoon, always fed me with her brilliant recipes and hearty home cooking. I’ve also met some of their friends who have the same hospitality as they do. You really don’t feel like an ‘outsider’ while they do respected privacy. The place located in a residential area that takes only 10-15mins walk from the center and the restaurants. Nikos and his mother really up their game in the arena of rental rooms. I know Nikos also rents out his villa in Rhodes, in case if you’re interested. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel the true Greek hospitality, because the grandma is really a gem and a blessing. I hope to return soon! (Forgot to mention their dog ‘Tingkas’, he’s adorable!!)
Thank you for your stay.you are a lovely person

Verified reviewInstead of a normal hotel room, this accomodation provides a large and beautiful room in a local house and everything is clean. And the most important thing: Nikos and his mother are amazing people, they treat you like family members, not like tourists.
