How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewStaff were very helpful, property was clean and well maintained. Great breakfast
A little bit of a walk from town but not a real issue. Could hear almost everything in the surrounding rooms/downstairs but again minor issue for a great stay.

Verified reviewFantastic overall stay. Great staff who gave us a very detailed rundown of everything to do in Naxos. Very cute honeymoon suite, with a fantastic balcony and tube. Close enough to the main town to walk to very nice dinners but far enough away for some peace and quiet.

Verified reviewIt was very clean, they cleaned our room every day and the stuff was very helpful.
It was a quiet location, a bit further from the center and there was now view from the room.

Verified reviewOur stay went very well. Katarina was very kind in welcoming us and always made sure there was someone at the reception in case we needed anything. The room was very spacious, just as we expected from the description and the photos. You can park your car in a private hotel parking lot for a fee. Walking around the immediate area of the hotel isn’t very pleasant, but it’s only a 15-minute walk from the city center, which is very convenient since it’s best not to drive there — the streets are narrow and there’s a lot of traffic. We didn’t try the breakfast service, but the hotel has a lovely outdoor area under a pergola with some greenery where you can have breakfast and relax.

Verified reviewSuper cute spot! The staff is amazing and their showers were phenomenal!
This is not about the property, but it’s around a 20 minute walk into the heart of downtown and there aren’t any sidewalks.

Verified reviewOther than the lady @ reception who checked us in not much.
Where do I start. The hotel driveway is a shared driveway with a beer distributor. We had to wait in our taxi while they loaded a truck upon arrival. The hotel is surrounded by a farm with a produce shack. Once we finally arrived we were shown our room which was a rooftop unit with a “hot tub”. The “hot tub” was simply a jetted tub that was empty. There was also a power line that basically ran over one corner of the balcony. We never stayed @ the hotel as we booked a room at a hotel on the beach the day we arrived. Not sure how this hotel was ranked as high as it was on TripAdvisor. It’s a 5 @ best.
Dear Robert, Indeed the Penthouse suite as well the hotel match the description you wrote. Actually all pictures, comments, reviews confirm your small text. If you had stayed as per the reservation, you would have experienced and confirm same as everyone why we are as high ranked. At any case, we wish you had a nice stay at the other hotel and you enjoyed the island. Konstantinos

Verified reviewStaff were outstanding. Room was very clean and as expected. We had a room with a hot tub which was at our disposal whenever we wanted. Great value for money. Short walk from town, even shorter walk to bus stop that takes you to other beaches.
A fly/insect screen would make this a perfect stay. It was cool enough to keep the windows open but once the sunset this was not possible due to bugs.

Verified reviewGreat place to stay and the staff super kind
Walkable from the center except the last 100-200 meters (where you have to walk next to cars), I would also say the pictures are a bit misleading, maybe they only represent the honey moon suites.
Dear Yngrid, Thank you for your positive review and comments although they are bit contradicting. You have reserved the Standard double and that was exactly what we gave you to enjoy. The Honeymoon Suite is as one would understand, a luxurious category. How then can be misleading? Getting a standard room which still feels like luxury? At any case, if you had any kind of question or doubt, we could have discussed it immediately if you had mentioned it at the reception. We wish you a nice holiday and hope to see you again Konstantinos

Verified reviewThis was my favorite place that I stayed at during my trip to Greece! The room felt so spacious, light, and luxurious—somewhere I wanted to spend extra time to rest. There was such attention to detail—folded towels, Twix bars and water, Molton Brown amenities. Katerina was helpful and I really appreciate them being accommodating. One thing to note is that the walk to the Temple of Apollo is >30 minutes. Shouldn’t be a problem if you have a car or don’t mind the walk, but if I was traveling with older adults or children this might be a consideration.
