Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAs others have noted it is close to a very busy road so there is a lot of road noise when you're outside, although not when you're inside- there is good sound insulation. And you do need to get a taxi to get anywhere if you haven't hired a car, as it's not in any town and the buses are hard to understand/infrequent- taxis in Santorini seem to have a minimum EUR 35 charge, regardless of how far you're travelling. The village of Megalochori is about a ten minute walk but along a very busy road with no pavements- I wouldn't want to walk that at night. The BBQ you can ask for at the property was convenient delicious but did seem a little over-priced for what you get.
It's a great place and really good value for money- clean, tidy, spacious, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a lovely little pool out the back with a view across the fields. Just across the road from a winery with amazing views over the bay. And Ariadne was extremely helpful with any requests when it came to booking great excursions, restaurants, a BBQ at the property, etc. A great find.

IsraelThe villa is situated near a bustling road, and on occasion, we could hear music emanating from passing cars or the noise generated by trucks and other substantial vehicles. However, when we closed the windows and doors of the house, this wasn't a problem, though it's worth noting. In terms of the Wi-Fi, it could be improved, especially given the property's size. There are areas where the signal is weaker, so keep that in mind if you require strong connectivity. Additionally, there was a discrepancy with the breakfast offer on the booking website. Contrary to what's stated, breakfast was not provided each morning. It would be advisable for the property owner to update their listing to avoid any potential misunderstandings in the future.
We, a family of six, spent five nights at the villa in late August. Our experience was truly wonderful. The villa is fantastic, and we cherished every moment of our stay. It boasts a delightful pool, pristine cleanliness throughout the entire house, a well-equipped kitchen, and a charming host. Moreover, the location is superb, offering easy access to all the island's attractions within minutes (One piece of advice for future guests: Consider renting a car during your stay to fully explore the island's beauty and attractions at your convenience). I enthusiastically recommend this place, and should I ever return to Santorini, I would gladly choose this villa again.

AustraliaI would have spent much more time in the pool if it was heated. Even on hot days in May, it was just a bit too cold to stay in for long. The pool lounges could also do with some shade (there were umbrella stands, but I couldn't see an umbrella). Although the villa itself is very close to the village, I'd recommend renting a quad bike or scooter to get around. The road into town gets very busy and there's no safe shoulder/path to walk on.
I had a wonderful stay at Samsara Villa. The villa itself is very comfortable and has everything you need, including a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and lots of sitting/dining areas. The real highlight is the pool area out back, with a huge pool, fabulous view and large, comfortable lounges for relaxing. I'd definitely recommend dining at the winery across the road which has an absolutely spectacular view over the caldera. I had a couple of issues with internet, water etc, which were sorted out quickly by the hosts.

United StatesThe main problem was the pool area that was not clean, I understand that there is dust and wind but clearly no cleaning was done in this area. I asked for it to be cleaned but it was refused and I had to do it myself. The house is on a road that is very busy and you could hear the traffic from the pool. We did not have water the first day and night (the auxiliary tanks were empty as well).
Very beautiful house, extremely well decorated and nice design. The pool is wonderful as well. the house is close to main area of interests and to the port and airport. Owners are nice but as they don’t speak english I had to communicate via whatsapp (with the son ?) and it was not always very smooth.
