How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was great, pool also. Staff is friendly. Location is good, near center and 10-15 minutes from the beach.
Room is a little smaller that expected, bathroom could be a little tidier. And there could be kettle and maybe forks and knives in the room. There is a circus near hotel, but it's not that bad as some were saying.

Verified reviewThe owners and staff were all super nice and accommodating. The place is very clean. They do room cleanup with a towel change every day and they change the bed sheets every few days. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is homemade, and it's really good, especially the traditional meals (moussaka, various savory and sweet pies, cakes etc). The beach is very close and there are plenty of good restaurants with traditional cuisine nearby.
No dedicated parking, but you can park on the street near the entrance.

Verified reviewOur room was very clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were very happy to spend our time there - the pool, the balcony, the breakfast. Our walk to the center of Hanioti was 5 minutes. Toward the beach - 10 minutes at best. Needless to say, the location itself is great! There is no private parking, but parking itself isn't very hard to do around the property. :)

I really don't understand how a hotel in the 21st century can have such bad wifi! I literally couldn't use the internet, speed is unacceptable low! Very old towels! There is not even a single bottle of water for welcome! You only get shower gel and shampoo on the first day! They literally try to save money on everything!

Regarding the WiFi, it is true that the area in general faces limitations in internet speed. However, we have invested significantly in modern equipment as well as a combination of terrestrial and satellite providers in order to offer the best possible service. We are sorry if your experience did not meet your expectations, but unfortunately the local infrastructure does not allow for a better connection at this time. As for the towels and bathroom amenities, we always ensure they are in good condition and replenished daily unless not used. Of course, our guests can always contact the reception, and we are happy to provide anything needed immediately. In relation to your comment about “saving money on everything,” we would like to reassure you that our goal is quite the opposite – to provide the highest possible level of hospitality. For example, upon your arrival, we dedicated time to assist you by contacting your car rental company abroad, without any charge, in order to make your stay more comfortable. I came to check my wife in. I did pay only for her but l just needed to help her set up .lady on front desk probably thought l will be sneaking in and try to stay for free,they didn't let me use the bathroom in my wife's apartment. I guess that's the rool on the hotel l kinda felt awkward. Overall my wife liked the stay and staff tuned to be polite.

We would have appreciated it more if the focus of your feedback had remained on the actual purpose of this review section: an objective evaluation of the accommodation, service, and staff. It is unfortunately quite common for guests to attempt to bring additional people beyond what was agreed upon in the booking. When a hotel simply enforces its standard policies — as we did in your case — it is often met with a low rating that does not reflect the reality of the service provided. In your case, the rating seems to be based solely on our refusal to approve a request that was not in line with our policy, rather than on the quality of your wife’s stay, which, as you mentioned, was pleasant. A special thanks to Mr. Sarantis and Ms. Georgie, who were always so kind, helpful, and welcoming. They truly made us feel at home and took care of every detail with genuine hospitality. We also want to express our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Georgie for the beautiful gesture of gifting us a bottle of wine for our 15th wedding anniversary.
