Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaIt’s such a beautiful villa, fully renovated and with lots of privacy. It’s located in Kardakata, which is a very small village with no commercial stuff at all. Don’t be put off by that though, as a short drive leads you to a mini market and between 15 to 30 minutes to the most picturesque beaches on the island - including the famous Myrtos beach. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and having your meals at the property. It’s fully equipped and even some herbs and spices were made available by the host. Extra points for complimentary wine left in the fridge. Very very modern house, great views and totally worth the stay. There is a neighbour villa which apparently also belongs to the same host, so you might have neighbours - which was our case - but you can barely notice it.

United KingdomWonderful villa in a fantastic location to explore Kefalonia. The hosts met us on arrival and were kind and helpful. Everything is very well built and equipped - the outdoor space is huge! We loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.

United KingdomI can't think of anything we didn't like other than having to leave! We hope to be back soon.
We stayed at the villa for a week in July and had the most relaxing and peaceful stay in a calm and authentic part of Kefalonia. The villa is tastefully decorated and well equipped, but the real bonus is the huge, gorgeous outdoor area. Having our own, crystal clear pool to dip into whenever we felt was a true luxury. The patio and gardens are lush and green and the wood barbeque is a great addition. We bought fresh sardines and prawns to barbeque in the evenings to eat with a lemon and olive oil dressing mixed with local oregano kindly left for us by the owners:) The villa is located in a very quiet mountain village nestled on the edge of the hills with the sea in the distance. It was lovely to wake up and hear the gentle chiming of goats bells nearby and to wander through the village in the evenings saying hi to the extremely friendly and smiley locals (and dogs!). The views around the villa are spectacular from all angles and you can see right along the north west coast to Ithaca in the distance from the front of the villa. It is a great area from which to explore the beautiful, secluded beaches and villages of northern Kefalonia. Andreas, the host, is very friendly and often sent us messages to see if we needed anything at the villa. An amazing find, highly recommended for a peaceful stay.

United KingdomUnfortunately there was no air conditioning in the 3rd bedroom when we stayed but the hosts did bring us a fan. They now have planning for air con in the outdoor building so hopefully this won’t be an issue for the next guests.
Beautiful outdoor area. We loved the pool, the outdoor kitchen and seating area, lots of space. Wonderful hosts who were really helpful. Nicely decorated property.

United KingdomAmazing location, well done out in traditional style with chestnut wood beams, perfect for a couple, we stayed in late Oct outside the normal tourist season and it was still a sunny 22 degrees everyday and had the beaches virtually to ourselves.

United KingdomThe mosquitoes - we both got bitten quite a lot but that wasn’t anything to do with the villa - we just apparently tasted good! :-(
From the minute we arrived, we absolutely loved the beautiful villa - the host met us on arrival and showed us everything we needed to know and he also helped during our stay with information, taxi booking, etc. The villa has been designed beautifully, lots of consideration over the finishes and we felt very comfortable straight away. The outdoor terrace with pool is just fabulous and we spent a lot of time eating outside and relaxing in or by the pool - it’s definitely a huge plus and we loved having the privacy. The host came in one day to clean and change bedding (if we wanted it to be changed - we didn’t). We didn’t know this part of the island but we quickly started to explore and we found some the most fantastic beaches nearby - we would highly recommend this villa if you want to be away from touristy areas and you need to have a car :-)
