Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location is really good for Nimborio beach as it is below Chora town so no steps to climb/descend. However, it is on the corner of the road which forms a busy one way system for traffic so there is a costant stream of cars and very noisy motorbikes going past. The kettle was rather unreliable and kept boiling by itself, so had to ensure it was unplugged from wall when we went out. Also there is no hot water for kitchen sink and had to boil kettle to wash up cutlery/wash clothes (there is no washing machine). The furniture, apart from bed, wasn't comfortable so it was hard to relax, it was a case of style over comfort. No broom, brush or mop was provided and the floor in bathroom would have a puddle of water in front of toilet after taking a shower. Had to use spare towels to dry each time to prevent slipping up, which was irritating. There isn't a proper sized mirror close to socket for hairdryer, had to make do with a very small hand held one balanced against towels inside wardrobe. This could easily be rectified with a mirror being attached to the inside of the wardrobe door. Finally, there are no smoke alarms or fire extinguishers.
The apartment was a good size and the kingsize bed was extremely comfortable. There was plenty of storage space, a keysafe (although we were given the wrong key for this, but this was finally sorted out by Katrina's mother as Katrina wasn't around for our stay). The large shared balcony with the other apartment had an amazing view of the lighthouse, Chora town and Nimborio beach. This beach is only a 5 minute walk from apartment. Adequate safety ligthing has been provided on both the outside and inside access stairs to the apartment (40 stairs in total so not good for people with mobility problems).

GreeceUnfortunately, we had some trouble with ants without leaving food out in the open and we had to clean up a couple of times. The rest was excellent.
We really liked the location as it was next to the sea with a great view and almost at the center of Andros - less than 5m walk. The decoration of the apartment was also very interesting and modern. The apartment was spacious and had all the necessary amenities.

United StatesI can't think of anything that was a problem. The apartment is up two flights of stairs, which was not a problem for me, but anyone with mobility issues may want something with fewer stairs - although of course pretty much all Greek villages including Andros Chora are full of stairs!
This is an excellent place to stay for seeing the island of Andros. It's not actually in the historic town of Andros, but just a 5 min walk on the outskirts, with plenty of on street parking. The apartment is spacious and bright, with baclonies that have views of the sea and the famous lighthouse. It also is filled with colorful artwork that make it feel very homey. Restaurants, shops, and the historic town are easy walking distance. The town is also centrally located for exploring the rest of the island (if you have a car).

Czech RepublicThere were a few setbacks. For example, the terrace shown in the photos is not accessible directly from the apartment. It belongs to it, but you have to access it from the corridor. The towel hanger fell off the moment we approached it. We did not even report it, because the repeated - and pointless - effort to fix it by silicon was pretty obvious. We dried the towels outside, in the balcony. The washing machine is not connected (there are not even any outlets for it in the bathroom). But when we asked about the laundry, the landlady promptly did it for us. There is no hot water in the kitchen, you have to boil it in a kettle and pour it in the sink to wash the dishes. We found ants in the kitchen, but were immediately provided an insect killer spray to deal with them, which helped. To make the long story short, every issue you encounter is dealt with, just not always the way you'd expect.
There are two main strong points related to this apartment. 1) The location. The apartment is close to pretty much everything: supermarket, shops, restaurants, bus station, taxi, beach, you name it. 2) The owners. The landladies are great, checking regularly if everything is OK and ready to fulfil your every wish. Amonng the little details, we appreciated an extra warm blanket and also several extra towels that were available.

United KingdomNo hot water in the kitchen sink, no TV (although it was not a major point) and the washing machine was not connected so we could not use it - the hostess however did offer to do our washing, if we wanted ! The building looks a bit untidy from the outside but good when you are in.
Nice big place with a great view from the balcony. Very near the charming old town, lovely restaurants and two beaches. Great hosts very friendly and helpful made our stay a really good one.

United StatesA bit hard to find initially because the address that Booking.com gives is simply wrong! Phone call took care of the problem. Also, a rather long stairway from the street into the apartment was challenging for an older woman.
Landlady Katerina was terrific! Apartment was spacious. A row of at least 5 good restaurants very close and many more only a 5 to 8 minute walk. Wonderful bakery just a few doors away.
