Volcan Secret Cave is a cozy and charming place, and we loved the fact that it was just a 15-20 minute walk to Fira. Maria was an exceptional host; she was incredibly kind, very responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The daily cleaning service made our stay even more comfortable. We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Santorini.

My recent stay at Volcan secret cave villa in Santorini exceeded all expectations! From the moment we checked in, they provided a warm briefing about local attractions—must-see sights, how to get there, and even the helpful guide. Their attention to detail really set the tone. Throughout our stay, Maria checked in with us multiple times a day to ensure we had everything we needed. It felt like we were staying with friends rather than at a hotel. Cleanliness We loved it so much that we extended our stay—a testament to how perfectly they looked after us. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, where every interaction feels personal and caring. I highly recommend Volcan Secret Cave Villa for anyone visiting Santorini. Maria was always kind and helpful! The location is in the middle of the island, so it's a very good starting point for every kind of activity. In the area there are also restaurants, supermarkets and everything you can ask for!

The accommodation is located in Karterados, which is a village in the center of Santorini, so a great starting point to explore the island. The village has everything you need: restaurants (try Katerina's), bars, bakeries (try Erotokritos or Zotos), supermarkets/mini markets, access to public buses, car rental agencies, etc but it's just a short distance to Fira, you can walk there in approx. 20 minutes or take the bus (approx. 5 minutes). Volcan Secret Cave is located off the main road of the village but nestled in a quiet walkway, so it's generally pretty quiet. FYI: To get to the accommodation, you need to walk several steps down and there are several steps in the apartment. There are several churches nearby, on Sundays and public holidays you will hear the bells, but usually not before 12 pm. Our host Maria was very attentive and provided lots of helpful information. Communication with her was very easy and pleasant and she was super helpful when it came to arranging transportation etc. The apartment itself is a dream! It has two separate, cave-like bedrooms which are beautifully furnished and equipped with air conditioning, storage facilities and a comfortable bed each. In the upper room there is a safe and first aid kit. The living room has a Smart TV which allows you to watch streaming services or live TV on a built-in sofa. The main room also has a kitchenette which is equipped with all kitchen essentials such as cutlery, glasses, plates, pans etc., which allow you to prepare meals. The dining table seats four guests. The bathroom is spacious and essentials such as shampoo and body lotion, hair dryer are provided. The apartment has a terrace equipped with a wooden table with four chairs, parasol, a rack to dry clothes and our personal highlight: a heated whirlpool. Amazing! We enjoyed our stay very much, would choose Volcan Secret Caves again and can wholeheartedly recommend staying there and having Maria as your host.

Maria, the host, was fantastic, all you could hope for. She helped with anything & everything and was always checking in to make sure everything was OK. Property was lovely, and to our pleasant surprise was cleaned daily, by a lovely lady. Very quiet village, just a 20 minute walk into Thira. We had a great stay.

Could probably do with a little more in terms of kitchen equipment - but enough there to manage. A microwave would be the best addition for us personally.

We had an amazing stay at Volcan Secret Cave Villa! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The villa was clean, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful — from arranging our transportation to making sure everything went smoothly during our stay. We truly appreciated the warm welcome and the excellent communication. It was an unforgettable experience, and we would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

Beautiful unique accomodation. Very clean and presentable. Maria was extremely helpful and always checking up that things were great.

It is an authentic Cycladic style house in an authentic village where you can enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by locals.

Some steps to get down from the road.

This apartment is beautiful. It was a last minute book for myself and my partner. The facilities were clean and there’s everything you need as a self catered property. Maria is extremely helpful and on hand for anything you need. There’s a travel Guide provided which gives you all the info for beaches and boat trips etc. we booked an 11 hour boat trip which was reasonably priced and a great day out. The rooms were comfy , the jacuzzi is amazing and the area is extremely quiet and peaceful compared to nearby Fira. There’s a huge supermarket nearby for all your shopping , plenty of restaurants and bars, Fira is a 20 min walk away and the bus stop is a 6 min walk up A hill and the buses take you all over the island . Maria was so helpful anything we needed. The cleaners come round every day. We are definitely staying here again on our next visit !

The only issues we have is that it’s really close to a church and the bells go off in the morning but if you keep your windows closed you don’t hear them. My only other comment is that there’s not a lot provided in terms of cutlery or crockery. I think there could be a few more cups and pans etc.

Everything was perfect 👌 We stayed in 2 apartments: the studio with spa bath and the deluxe suite. The deluxe suite is absolutely brilliant, the bedding is top notch, the hot tub allows us to relax and cool off during the heat. Sometime, We were able to take advantage of the kitchens in the 2 apartments to prepare our family meals. Every day of our stay, Maria took care of our family so that we lacked nothing. She is accommodating and above all proactive. No detail is left to chance regarding cleaning, maintenance of the accommodation or the help we asked for to organize our stay. For the taxi, we have the pleasure to call Santorini Majestic Tour: Andrea goes out of his way to be available, that his vehicle is comfortable and he can give good advice on places to visit. We had a special request regarding an excursion in a small boat without a license drive and the Maria Angel managed to find us the right provider. The worldwide crowstrike incident forced us to stay 2 extra nights. Although Maria no longer had accommodation available and was not obliged to do so, she helped us so that we could find accommodation in another establishment. I highly recommend 😍

Amazing private pool, great for family holidays, extremely friendly host

Lovely villa with an amazing view. Very clean and had everything we needed. Maria was wonderful and always there if we needed anything.

It was a little bit out of the town, but only 25 mins walk.

The property was gorgeous, it was nice and private which we loved. It was kept clean and tidy, Maria the host was lovely and helped us book our excursion trip to the volcano and sorted out our airport transfers! She was great. The property itself was fab because it was a 7 min walk to the nearest bus stop which is good if you want to visit Akrotiri, Perissa. It was a 20 min walk to Thira which wasn’t bad at all and from there the central bus station was there so you could go anywhere - including to Oia! The location might not be your typical cliffside apartment but it provides privacy, is near shops and is close to everything to explore the island. We loved it!

Lovely location, only 20mins walk from the busy city center. Mara was soooo lovely, she went above and beyond to make sure we were ok. Booking transfer, getting our son a travel cot. Lovely lady.
