How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The stay was made extra special with complimentary gifts. Nice and quiet around the swimming pool. Breakfast was very tasty with a large variety of choices. Room was a bit small but fine for a short stay.

From the photos I thought it was going to be closer to a 5 star hotel similar to the ones in the area like 4 seasons but the finishings seem more 4 star.
The service was amazing. George welcomed me so well and made sure to take care of me and everything that I needed. He was really kind and took great care in going above and beyond. Definitely wanted to make sure he got a shoutout! The lady at breakfast was also very lovely and sweet.

I had a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, ensuring we felt well taken care of. Our rooms were spotless, and I definitely plan to rebook. Plus, the location couldn't have been better!

The wifi could have been better as my friend who had to work and had zoom meetings.
The breakfast was fantastic!! The staff and the hotel was very nice and clean. I was very happy with my experience.

Curtains are not fully blackout and you can hear a bit of road noise.

Nothing that I didn't like exactly, but there could have been a better choice of food on the evening menu. Breakfast was very tasty except for the eggs (had an omelette that had the texture of bread-and-butter putting and scrambled that were horrible), but I'd have preferred fruit salad rather than whole fruit and the homemade granola (delicious) was wrapped in plastic - a more environmentally friendly option would be better. It was a perfect location for a work event nearby but not sure about a 'romantic break' given it's right on the main road with no beach access. If I had been part of a couple I would have complained about the balcony which was in 3 sections, none of which were big enough for 2 chairs together.
Sumptious, spacey and very comfy suite with a great view that's worth paying the extra for. Very attentive and friendly staff.

Our stay at Somewhere Vouliagmeni was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, every member of staff went above and beyond to look after us and make us feel at home. Far from monastiraki Square,need a 30-minute taxi, good breakfast but not so comfortable need to order from the menu and wait for long time.
Small butick 12 rooms Hotel, very close to the beach and restaurants, rooms are very clean, and very kind staff.

We had a tiny niggle with the air conditioning but this was put right without hesitation.
The room was exceptional with a great balcony overlooking the pool area. The staff went out of their way to make our 5 nights stay most memorable. The location is without doubt a huge bonus with a beach merely a few minutes walk away as well as a fantastic choice of restaurants. Will not hesitate to visit again.
