How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewOur family of 6 loved our week at Sunny Garden. Every one of the staff were wonderful, such a lovely team of happy and helpful people . The environment was relaxed, clean and comfortable. The pool area was never busy, plenty of sun beds. The location was perfect, a short walk to the beautiful beach and the shops and restaurants.
Amongst a hundred positives of a brilliant hotel, the only things that could have been better were: the bathrooms were a little tired (it all worked perfectly but the design was a little strange. Impossible to shower without getting the floor soaked, and a lack of hooks for towels/clothes), and the considerable extra cost of the air con could have been included in the booking options to allow for comprehensive budgeting.

Verified reviewSunny Garden was a perfect place for us. We are a family from Denmark. We travelled 6 adults with our 2 children and 2 in laws. We chose the place because of good reviews on tripadvisor. My wife and I stayed in a Deluxe 3 persons room, which was newly renovated and very nice with a big bathroom. The aircon was very quiet and good. There were also a nice veranda with to chairs and a small sofa. The location was a bit away from the pool, placed towards a small green lawn. The area with our Deluxe room was very quiet. In the bedroom there was 3 beds, and we did only use two of them. The ony problem is cicadas sing all night outside the room. I was disturbed by the noise, but my wife did sleep without problems. Our two children stayed both with their friends in a Standard room for 2 persons. Both was located on the ground floor with a balcony to the pool area. The rooms was a bit old, but still nice. The refrigerator in the standard rooms was old, but able to cool down water and so on. The aircon was a bit old. Yanis, the manager is, and this I really mean, a very varm at helpful person. He speaks good English, so it easy to get all kind of information from Yanis. The breakfast served is good, and with more kinds of fruit and juice. We did not eat on the restaurant in the evening, so I can not say anything about that. Sunny Garden is used as a location by Aahus Charter, and we did not know this. This means, that there are quite a few people from Denmark. We loved the place, the location and the pool area. Be aware that for each room you are charged 6 euro pr night pr room for aircon tax. However, Yanis gives you a pass for free sunbeds and Umbrella for the nearby located beach. There you can enjoy the shade on beautiful sun loungers without payment. The location is fine, a 10-12 minutes walk away from the turist area with all the shops and restaurants. It is easy to walk to the very nice beach. All in all Sunny Garden was very nice for our family.

Verified reviewYiannis and the lady that was there mainly in the day were absolutely fantastic, friendly, helpful, hospitable and would do anything for us. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good. Pool area could do with updating and some of the sun beds could do with replacing. Other than that lovely place. Short walk to the beach and main centre. We had rooms 138 and 111
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, just improvements on pool area.

Verified reviewLocation is close ((3 - 4 minute gentle and pleasant stroll) to both the beaches and the main eating / drinking areas of the resort - the staff were super friendly, engaging and helpful. The rooms were well appointed and really well decorated and kitted out.
Garden area could have been better kept to align to the quality of the rest of the grounds - but that is a very minor point, not an issue and more an observation

Verified reviewThe staff were all really friendly, particularly the manager Yannis, he was really helpful in booking a boat trip for us and telling us the best places to go around town. He was super friendly. Our room was spacious and we had a balcony overlooking the pool which was lovely. Pool area was clean and tidy.
The breakfast and lunch buffets could have benefited from covers for the food as there was quite a lot of flies around. The door to the room was quite difficult to open and close without slamming it.

Verified reviewCozy, family atmosphere with an exceptional manager, Yiannis. He showed us true hospitality and helpfulness. His mantra is, "feel like home", and it is not just a buzzword, you could believe him. We encountered a really bad situation, but he help us and tried to do the best to make us smile (in pain). Many thanks! All the other staff and the guest were nice. It's a great place to stay, relax; but after 5 minutes of walk you can find yourself in the "downtown's nightlife".
Well, you can find problems anywhere if you want. But this place is worth the price.

Verified reviewThe staff were all nice and available (especially Yannis and Aggeliki). The amazing manager is one of the main reasons why this hotel has a high score! Food is good (not much variety but it was well cooked). The beds were comfortable. The wi-fi was good enough, considering there is bad connection on this area. The balcony was a great spot with a lovely view. And the pool was also very good. Great location, close to the center of Tsilivi, and very close to a nice and quiet spot of the beach (with sand!). The room was always fresh due to the airco. This is an extra payment but we are (should be) previously informed about it (by mail/ message via booking). However, we are only informed after the reservation is made.
There are some differences between the standard room and the double room. The shower of the standard rooms is way too small and the rooms need more maintenance. The company for boat tours - Abba travel - with whom Sunny Garden has partnership, is not the best fit.

Verified reviewThe welcome and attention from the owner Yannis and his staff are outstanding , plus the location is ideal- not too noisy in the centre but close enough to walk in - and 2 mins from the beach ! The pool is a good size with lots of sun loungers around it with both sun and shady spots. The buffet meal options for lunch and dinner are filling, tasty and not too expensive. Yannis even gave us a lift to our next stay afterwards - made us feel like family 😃
Nothing . It’s all perfect 😍

Verified reviewVery friendly staff. The manager was a really nice guy and supportive.
Old and need a renovation. What is definitely not OK, is that they charge you extra for the use of the Airco. We selected this hotel incl airco, but when we arrive we had to pay3 euro / day / room extra.

Verified review- the manager Yannis is the reference for everyone in this place, he is a great problem solver. He does everything and helps you with everything (renting car, tours, advices etc) and he really suggests what is more convenient for the tourist avoiding spending money. - the sunny garden hotel provides for free an umbrella and 2 sunbeds in a very close beach (Venus beach bar). - we felt at home every day, as Yannis and his staff are very welcoming and always smiling - the structure is old style and very simple but we enjoyed, indeed these things were compensated by Yannis welcoming and humanity, for this reason I would underline that we would be very happy to go back in this structure because of the relaxing mood and the human factor without any price.

Verified reviewWe just got home from Sunny Garden ,where we spent 8 nights with 2 kids under 8. I would also highlight Yiannis, the manager : he is extremely friendly and helpful. We got help with the ship excursion, transfer, taxi, food allergies, he made coctails on the house , to my husband's birthday! Other staff were also very nice , welcoming and always ready to help. There is a food buffet in the hotel- breakfast, lunch and dinner - food is really good, authentic Greek as well as some international and kid friendly dishes. Pool is large and nice, warm but refreshing. The beach is a short walk from the hotel ( I personally recommend Mango beach bar, where there are sunbeds and cabanas and service is the nicest) also there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. We would like to return next year ☺️
The family apartment is a bit older than the rest of the rooms- sofa beds for the kids were not the best, but Yiannis advised that those will be replaced. Also, although food is really good in the hotel, the apartment is descibed with a possibility to cook, however stove looks old and there is no pan or water pressure to do the dishes. I had no issue with not cooking for a week LOL, but consider eating in the hotel/out when you book the family apartment.

Verified reviewOverwhelmingly the biggest asset to the hotel is Yiannis. What a wonderful helpful guy, extremely kind, and welcoming. 'This is your home' he would say, and he definitely made it feel that way.
Scraping the barrel to find what I didn't like, maybe the noise of the fridge was a bit loud when sleeping lol.
