Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceWe had a lovely time at the Sunny House. The place is bright, clean, and very comfortable. It’s in the quiet village Mycenae, just a few minutes from Ancient ruins and only a short drive to beautiful Nafplio. It’s a great base if you want to explore ancient sites, small villages, and the seaside. The big verandas are perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, surrounded by nature and peaceful views. Our host was super friendly and helpful, gave us great tips for places to visit and local food. We really felt welcome!

GreeceWe had a wonderful two-day stay at Sofia’s Sunny House in Mycenae! The house is just a few minutes away from the archaeological site — you can even walk there! It has one bedroom with a large, super comfortable double bed, a second room with a sofa bed, and a third auxiliary space with another double bed — perfect for our group! The small but fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed for a quick meal, and we were pleasantly surprised to find fresh eggs, honey, and fruit waiting for us on arrival. There are two large covered verandas on both sides of the house, with lovely views — ideal for enjoying your breakfast or dinner while watching the sunset. The location is also great for day trips to Nafplio, Epidaurus, Corinth, and other beautiful spots and beaches around the Peloponnese. We would absolutely recommend it!

United StatesYou climb up an exterior corkscrew, black-metal stairway to each the apartment. All our luggage was airplane-carry-on size and it just fit inside the corkscrew of the stairway. If you have larger luggage, be prepared to muscle it up. The hot water is solar, gravity-fed so taking a shower was a drip-drip experience. The second bed was a single bed separated from a passageway by a hanging sheet.
The location was wonderful. Almost walkable to Mycenae (except for the periodically heavy tour-bus traffic on the narrow road). Parking was no problem. Short drives to Nafplio and Tiryns. A goodly number of restaurants in the village, although the open hours for some were surprising. The unit was several rooms, lots of chairs and a sofa, so getting some quiet space alone is easy. The view is nice, and I enjoyed walking around Mykines. Communication on entry and other things was through Booking.com, which worked out just fine on our iphones. Lovely table and chairs on a shaded terrace.

United KingdomIt was only possibly to heat the water when the heating was off - a minor issue.
Fantastic spot to stay with a family if you are exploring… we arrived to find eggs and jams all waiting for us; sadly it was so cold we were unable to sit out to enjoy the view and which was quite stunning. We did get to enjoy a fire though and amazingly warm blankets.

KazakhstanI think it was due to it being the off seasons but none of the restaurants in walking distance were open at dinner time. We were there mid-March. Things were open at lunchtime though.
The hosts were super helpful, even though we never met! Left food in the fridge from local places like fruit and honey. The house had some books and kids games which was a nice treat. Super close to the archeological site of Mycenae. We had some small personal issues and the hosts were very understanding and helpful.

AustraliaI loved the peace and quiet and the wonderful views of this ancient, famous land. I loved the friendly, helpful, attention to detail from the host Sophia and her caring father and mother. Hospitable, beautiful people. The kitchen had little notes of positivity stuck here and there especially with what you can help yourself to, e.g. fruit juicing etc., The frige always had eggs and fruit from their farm also bread, and some welcoming drinks which went down well after a long travelling day. I recommend 'Sunny House' it's a great base to visit other areas.

United KingdomArriving in the dark was difficult, because of the spiral staircase, which we hadn’t expected, just a light on on the balcony would have made this easier.
Location was excellent, we appreciated all the food Sofia had left, and really appreciated Sofia’s quick response to any queries. Sofia is a caring, welcoming host and although we did not meet her we felt well looked after. It was great to have the washing machine.

SwedenThe top floor apartment has a far reaching view from the balcony. The apartment is nice and cosy. Sophia provided us with som very welltasting local supplies and was keen to make sure that our stay would be a success. Try Melina’s restaurant and the mini supermarket cross the main road from the restaurant for your meals.

AustraliaWhat's not to like in a Greek village? Perhaps some earplugs wouldn't go astray when the village dogs decide to party late at night.
Sophia was a great host. Her communication was timely and excellent. Greek houses, particularly in villages are not easy to find and require extra information to locate house. Fresh village chickens provided eggs. Sophia provided home grown oranges, apples, honey; and provided a loaf of bread as well as cooking supplies. Thanks Sophia for a great stay.

SwitzerlandEnvironnement, restaurants closed in the village (low season) and the only one open not welcoming, did not let us eat inside although it was frisky. Old beds too small and somewhat hard, dogs barking at night. Full size fridge in the bedroom (!) made noises during the night…
