How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location was perfect for the centre of Athens. The room was large, with a small kitchenette area including a fridge, microwave, sink & store cupboards. The view from the roof garden of the Parthenon was amazing, especially at night. Olga greeted us & took our suitcases to the room. Julius & Olga arranged all the transfers. Would highly recommend.
The "put you up bed" for our daughter could have been more comfortable.

Verified reviewThe hotel was located in the most ideal spot.
Check in was a bit difficult as we arrived early and had some trouble contacting someone so that we could leave our bags inside the hotel. However, we didn’t have to wait that long and were able to leave our bags in the hotel. We didn’t love that we were directed to leave our bags in the hallway as we were worried about our belongings being stolen, but we had no issues. Once our room was available, the hotel staff kindly moved our bags into our room.

Verified reviewThe location was great and it’s a very large apartment with a nice view out to the temple of fire and metal.
It’s a noisy spot given the location is on the main traffic street. It’s a dated property and there’s nothing luxurious about it unfortunately.

Verified reviewAmazing views and the host was absolutely incredible and very friendly!
Honestly the only reason I didn’t give it a perfect 10 rating is because the AC wouldn’t cool the room so it was sweltering while we were trying to sleep. Otherwise everything was amazing!

Verified reviewThe photos are so deceiving. The room was like a shoe box, aircon did not work, there was no sheet for WIFI, the bed was so hard and uncomfortable, honestly do not go off the photos, I don’t know why the photos are what they are but my room was not it. Location tho amazing and the roof top to loook out was amazing! Everything else not good.
Everything besides location and roof top.
Dear guest. You have booked a superior room which is clearly mentioned it’s 20 square meters. If the room was small for you why you didn’t book a suite? You chose the most economical room and expected to stay I a presidential suite!!! What you pay is what you get. All our rooms are clearly described correctly. Also everything was working perfectly as you never mentioned anything to our staff to help you. Next time before you book anywhere please read the description of the room and the facilities.

Very compact, if the airline didn’t lose our luggage, I’m not sure where we would have put it!

Verified reviewA great spot, right on the fringe of the heart of Athens, allowing for quiet nights, but right near everything exciting during the day. Does a 20 minute walk to the acropolis, and there are more restaurants and shopping options within walking distance than we could count. Room is extremely spacious, clean, functioning, bathroom, and extremely helpful staff.
Not necessarily a negative, but it does appear to be a bar/club blow the building they can get very loud when they were parties going on. However, due to Athens laws, the music promptly stopped at 11 PM and it was absolutely silent the rest of the night. So not really a negative, just something to give people a heads up if they need to catch an early night sleep before a flight.

Verified reviewThe room has a great location near the archeological sites in Athens so it makes exploring those very easy.
The bed was kind of hard. Which some people like, I just prefer a cushier bed. Also the restaurants and bars on the bottom floor and around the hotel get pretty loud at night,

Verified reviewGreat location, top level terrace has great views of the Acropolis, close to Monastiraki Square and walking distance from all the major attractions. Julius and the team were excellent hosts. I'm a light sleeper and I was not affected by the street noise.
Shower floor was a little slippery, which is a minor criticism.

Verified reviewCute room, responsive staff, great location
Security very bad! Checkin is done remotely - you are provided a front door code, and then the room key is in a lock box outside your door. This lockbox has a VERY obvious 4 digit code based on room number. On my last day when I returned my key to the lockbox for checkout, I discovered they had added a second room key to the lockbox at some point (maybe for the cleaner?). ANYONE with access to the hotel would have had access to my room at any time via this key; all the lockboxes for every room follow the same code format. Arguably any guest that knows the code for their room can then get into anyone elses room. When I explained this very big security lapse to the staff, they said "Ok. Enjoy your trip!".
Dear guests, I am sorry that you feel this way but in 8 years of operation we never had an incident, as nothing ever happened to you or any other guests. The codes are changed often and all the doors are security doors. The main entrance has 24/7 surveillance. I hope that you enjoyed your stay with us.

Verified reviewAwesome location with a great view from the terrace. We loved having breakfast and dinner while looking at the Acropolis. Even though the apartment is located by a busy street, the windows had excellent noise insulation.
It would have been nice having some shelfs in the bathroom, for our own toiletries and toothbrushes.

Verified reviewExcellent location! with walking distance to eateries, including takeout, al fresco restaurants with nice ambience, , bakeries, local fares. Hop on hop off bus, train station, vintage markets, boutiques less than 5 minute walk. Hotel itself is very quiet, never heard anyone moving around, but if you want to partake in whatever is going on outside, our room had multiple huge windows with view of the street, park, could hear locals playing music on the weekend. Nice location for immersion The rooftop garden terrace is wonderful with seating and 360° unobstructed view. Each time we went up there we were alone and was able to set up meals using tableware from the room, and hung out up there uninterrupted A boutique Hotel in true sense of the word with pleasant, helpful staff Will definitely return and highly recommend
