The rooms were comfortable but not large. Our room was unfortunately situated opposite the housekeeping staff’s room so we were woken around 7.30 as equipment was banging about.

The hotel was excellently located, very central and with a rooftop restaurant with breathtaking views of the Acropolis. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.

This is a very functional Hotel in a terrific location near the Acropolis, Plaka and metro. The breakfast is great and the staff there go out of their way to make you happy.

Such incredible and attentive staff from the front desk to the rooftop restaurant waiters and the housekeepers, such a gem in the heart of Athens. Staff went above and beyond with requests ie dinner reservations and airport early breakfast. Thank you so much.

We were made to wait for our room beyond the official check-in time even though we arrived early and the keys were apparently ready for a while, as they forgot about us even though we were sitting within sight of the front desk.

The best thing about this hotel is the location (super convenient to the Acropolis and the Agora) and the view from the rooftop. The rooms don’t have much character but the bed is comfortable and the AC cool, which is what you need in Athens during a heat wave. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied, with lovely helpful staff. They were able to accommodate us with later check-out so that we could take a shower after our tour before leaving for the airport.

In peak times like check out you need to plan your time to use the lifts.

The location of the Athens Gate is excellent. We walked in all directions to explore and visit places of interest. The bed was very comfortable and the staff polite and respectful. Breakfast was excellent and the view of the Pantheon from the rooftop restaurant spectacular.

What a spot in the heart of Athens! The hotel staff were exceptional. The room was a nice size and the bed was super comfortable. Nice and quiet spot overlooking the Temple of Zeus. Walking distance to the Acropolis and Parthenon. Close to cafes, restaurants, metro, trains and buses. The view from the rooftop bar and restaurant is superb!

The hotel is in a great location as it is in easy walking distance to Galata district and a Tram station just down the road provides easy access to Istanbul old town and other areas of interest. The roof top restaurant provides fabulous views of the Bosphorus and Istanbul old town, the food is delicious the staff are friendly and best of all the prices are very reasonable.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Athens, with an amazing rooftop bar/restaurant where breakfast is also served. We stayed in standard rooms, which were simple but very clean and well arranged. It was a pleasant surprise overall. A special thank you to Dimitris at the restaurant, he was extremely kind and welcoming!
