Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelEverything was simply excellent. The staff was kind, pleasant, and welcoming. The room was huge, with a private balcony and direct access to a shared pool. The view from the place is stunning, and there’s a private path leading to the sea. Breakfast was rich and varied, and the hotel’s restaurant was the highlight of our trip. The best restaurant we ate at! Everything was fresh, the portion sizes were perfect, and the prices were great. Without a doubt, they’re doing an excellent job.

United KingdomThe hotel is set in a more rural location so there isn't much immediately around it. That being said, the town centre only a short taxi ride away or you can walk along the coastline (only 15-20 minutes) which doesn't feel all too bad with the views:)
This hotel was an unexpected find - the whole package! The setting is super relaxing, with the restaurant and bar over looking the sea - the views are amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome - they weren't just professional but warm and genuine, laughing and chatting with all of the guests, which created a friendly and inviting stay for all! The food was another highlight for me. Every dish I tried was fresh and creative. Honestly, I had planned to check out a few other restaurants in the area, but the food here was so good that I ended up eating at the hotel almost every night. What makes this place even more special is that it isn't just for hotel guests. If you are nearby, you can easily walk from the beach, cross the small river and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer - from food and drinks to the pool and relaxing ambiance. There is a second area with a private pool for hotel guests only, yes, they really thought of everything! For me this hotel has brought a slightly difference touch - a new fresh feel to the usual practical serving and structured routines. Overall, its a fantastic concept. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking to relax, eat well and enjoy a peaceful spot by the sea.

United StatesNothing about the property would deter me from recommending it BUT I have three complaints about the bathrooms: 1. There was one hook, when really at least 3 were needed to hang towels 2. The open concept shower meant we got water all over the floor every time we showered 3. The grout and marble could stand to be refinished.
We loved our few days at The River. The hotel was fully booked but with only a handful of rooms it felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. It’s a bit farther south than the main town, which added to the quiet and privacy. There is plenty of parking. The front desk is staffed until about 11pm, so someone was there to welcome us. The room is basic but comfortable and very large. There are two buildings. We stayed in the “pool view” rooms closer to the road. These were quiet and opened out onto a large shared private pool. There was another building closer to the resort pool; these had private plunge pools. I think the rear building was quieter and was happy with our choice. Breakfast is ordered the day before; you choose a (generous) allotted number of items from a menu and can opt to eat in the restaurant or in the room. We opted to eat in the restaurant each morning and were served almost immediately after we sat down. Breakfast was incredibly delicious, and SO much food. We ate lunch and dinner in the restaurant as well and were very impressed. The menu was creative, which was a nice break from basic taverna food. I thought the prices were reasonable until we were served our first meal, which was enormous! Each dish could have been about half the size and the price would have been fair. Everyone who worked there was absolutely delightful.

SwitzerlandNot walkable distance from anything, pool-side service was a bit confusing on day 1 and took some figuring out
Great breakfast, not too busy, nice big pool with good chairs. Nice beach views from the pool.

PolandToo short Holiday :) everything was perfect!
We stayed at the hotel for a week in July, and the experience was amazing. Beautiful rooms; a delicious welcome drink, breakfast served in the room every day according to the menu, a wonderful hot tub, and a stunning view from the pool. The staff was definitely the highlight – outstanding customer service and delicious food in the restaurant. For the first time in a long while, I was able to truly relax. Thank you for everything.

United Arab EmiratesMy husband and I stayed at the private pool suites which we found out are brand new for the hotel. To start with, it feels like a very private hotel with limited number of rooms. The facilities such as the pool and the restaurant have much bigger capacity and there a huge potential for great beach parties but also it’s not crowded at all so feels very private at the same time. You have direct access to a sandy beach and a river right underneath the hotel restaurant which was so cool! the music, the drinks, the food, the service, the cleanliness, friendly staff, everything was very high level. We chose this place because it was adults only so you don’t get bothered by children running around and could get a nice drink at the pool. The rooms have very good sound proofing so if you feel that you want to take a nap and not hear the poolside music you can just close the window doors and you’re perfectly fine. We were treated great from day one and by the end of our stay we have already became friends with most of the staff. Good job to the whole team, I won’t mention names only because I don’t want to miss anyone and everybody was great! We also enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Thank you again!

United KingdomOrdering ahead for both room and restaurant for breakfast was a bit strange. Had not expected that I was supposed to pre order for restaurant breakfast. Not always sure what I’m going to feel like or timing until the day.
Breakfast to room fab and great choice.

United StatesAmazing facilities, brand new with easy access (just down a small staircase) to the best beach in Agios. The people were super helpful. And the breakfast, served in the room or at the seaside restaurant, was outstanding. I have stayed at dozens of hotels around Crete over the years and this one is a real gem.
