Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceWe liked everything! Just to note that persons with difficulties taking stairs or walking uphill may need to consider other type of accomodation. Also the car parking spots are downhill nearby the village center. We had no problem finding a place at this time of the year (low season).
Beautiful Greek house with high level of attention to small details that make all the difference! Fully equipped small kitchen (each floor) with brand new cloths for dish washing, dish soap, complimentary coffee, tea. Shower gel, shampoo and a little beauty kit available in the bathroom. We loved the hot tub outside with warm water - saved our holiday in the chilly Spring weather! We warmly recommend this property to any traveller enjoying a traditional Greek village with narrow streets and typical houses with a modern touch plus great views. Warm thanks to our host John for great communication and all information to make our stay memorable.

BulgariaThe jacuzzi/hot tub was not hot. It was cool/lukewarm, which was too cold to enjoy in the relatively chilly weather we had in April. Also the shower heads could only be placed at waist level, which made it a bit uncomfortable to shower, always having to hold the shower head in one hand. The door heights were exactly high enough for me to pass at my height of 164 cm (5’4”) but my husband at his 185 cm (6’1”) had to duck his head everywhere and a few times while distracted by the kids smashed his head in the doorways. Perhaps one could say the low doorways are part of the charm of being in a traditional cave house…
Overall we had a wonderful week in Santorini thanks in part to this charming property and its location in the quiet and picturesque village of Pyrgos. The view was spectacular and especially inspiring for me as an artist, allowing me to paint in plein air while inside the door/window. Our host was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay, arranging for cab rides sort of like an uber service 😊. Also we really appreciated his help lugging our three big suitcases between our airport taxi which he arranged, and the house which was about a 5-min walk uphill and up a few stairs, both late at night upon our arrival, and at 6 am when we were leaving. There were wonderful hikes starting right from our doorstep or within a short cab ride. Our kids loved the labyrinth of narrow paths and alley-ways in the top part of the village where this property is located. They also loved sleeping in a cave! There were 2-3 excellent cafes/restaurants in the village (not so in nearby bigger town of Kamari). There was a wonderful bakery with amazing fresh baked bread, croissants etc. and a separate sweeterie with outstanding desserts. There was also a mini-market with the basic necessities with kind owners/people at the cashier that gave us free candies with most purchases. Overall most people we interacted with in the village with were very sweet and kind which we really appreciated. And thus, despite the slight inconveniences mentioned below, all in all a wonderful vacation, making Santorini our favorite island of the 10 or so islands we have visited thus far.

IrelandEverything was perfect. Couldn't fault anything.
John our host was extremely helpful and arranged transport from the airport to our meeting point. He was always available to us and checked in every day to ensure all was ok and if we needed anything. Breakfast was delivered every morning and it was very nice and so convenient. Accommodation is very spacious and we really enjoyed our week there. Coffee pods are provided but if you are a coffee lover, you may need to bring extra. Pyrgos is a beautiful little village that reminds me of Greece in the 90s and a few of the local restaurants were superb. A newly one called Alchemia was top class and views from there and Rosemary at sunset were spectacular. Very enjoyable and relaxing week and the quad bikes were fun too. Thank you John for being a great Host.

SwitzerlandThe breakfast was delivered and it was not special. No butter, no jam, no fresh fruit. Till the scrambled eggs were delivered, they were cold. But we loved the freshly pressed orange juice 😋 The jacuzzi was not so clean. The outdoor furniture was not very comfortable.
We liked the traditional cave house. The view was sensational. There are some really good restaurants and bars nearby. We didn't cook in the tiny kitchen. Friendly people. The house was very clean.

United StatesThe apartment was straight up many hills and stairs. It was easy to get lost in the little alleys going to and from the Main Street from our apartment.
The view was excellent! The location was good for us with the activities we had planned.

Absolutely beautiful two floor/bedroom suite in the Villa. If you want to immerse yourself into Santorini, this is the place to stay. Gorgeous views and the host John was fabulous. Coordinated transportation from airport and breakfast was provided from local restaurant and dropped off at the front door. It was absolutely delicious. You get to choose from 5-6 options. highly recommend!

SingaporeThe steps leading to the apartment was a struggle with heavy luggage. However John the host was very helpful going up and down twice to help us. As it’s a cave apartment there was no doors at the shower and floor can be slippery. Ceiling of bathroom was low as well.
Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful. Cave like apartment which was special. Ample space and well equipped. There’s a lovely hot tub too.
