Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSmall thing but my only disappointment was breakfast. We had to check out super early to get our ferry so missed breakfast, but the staff put together a little box for us to take on the go. Honestly, it didn’t match up to the rest of the hotel’s standards - a dry cheese and ham sandwich, a juice carton and an apple, it felt like a children’s lunch box! Bit disappointing as breakfast was included in our room rate and considering that the hotel has its own bakery a few minutes’ away, I was at least hoping for coffee and a croissant. Apart from that, everything was great.
Perfect location for sightseeing! This hotel is a real hidden gem, walking distance from The Acropolis (15 mins ish) but feels tucked away and super quiet. The rooftop is the best part of this hotel - amazing view of The Acropolis, brilliant service and cocktails! A must if you stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomRoom quite small and dark (we had internally facing room), but it’s an old building and is what it is, didn’t detract at all from a great stay.

United StatesNothing, I am already planning my next visit back and will definitely stay here again.
Our experience most definitely reflected other positive reviews: 1. location: walking distance away from metro (which connects directly to the airport) and most (if not all) major attractions. It is right on the edge of the Plaka, meaning all the shops and restaurants you would ever need are seconds to minutes walking distance away. 2. staff: we felt welcomed immediately upon arrival, everyone was extremely friendly and ready to help 24/7. the front desk staff were incredibly knowledgeable and provided amazing recommendations for foods and activities. Realizing our late departure time, they kindly offered a late check out time for us (we did visit in the low season), which was excellent as my partner was not feeling well and could use the few hours extra time to relax in the room before the long journey. 3. hotel: the room was very very clean and beautiful with the high ceiling, making it felt much more spacious, it had everything we needed. 4. roof top breakfast: the roof top dining area (an amazing reservation-only restaurant/bar in the evening) has a breath-taking view of the acropolis, the staff was incredible, and the breakfast selection is a fantastic full menu made-to-order.

IrelandWe loved everything!
This stunning hotel is pure delight! The location is ideal for exploring the city, major historic sites nearby and lots of restaurants and bars. It’s easy to pop in and out to rest before heading out again. It was a really unique experience staying in a historic building so beautifully and thoughtfully restored and with a very close view of the Acropolis! Our room was elegant and very comfortable with all modern luxuries. The rooftop restaurant was exceptional and dining was an unforgettable experience! The friendly and knowledgeable staff were so helpful and attentive. They offered us a free upgrade when they heard we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We really hope we can return again!

SingaporeRoom was a bit dim. Perhaps more lighting options? The half hourly chimes from the Cathedral took some getting used to.
Zillers very kindly upgraded our room with a great view of the Cathedral square. Very stylishly furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was really something to look forward to - especially the cold cuts and the yoghurt!! And the location is really tops! Great restaurants and shopping all around us. It ticked all the boxes for a wonderful stay in the heart of the city centre.

CyprusThe only issue was the traffic sound as our room was located in the front side facing the road, but the hotel arrange for this to provide you earplugs.
The Hotel location it is perfect , it was vey clean and all the staff very welcome and always smiling and ready to assist you. The roof top bar breakfast was really nice. the hotel offer 24/7 reception desk. Room was super comfortable and big enough, cozy and warm. We stayed at 101 which was a room with small lobby and sofa , balcony and a big enough place for luggage and WC. I highly recommend this place for someone who was to be in the heart of the city near to all the shops, bars, restaurants etc. You can walk to everywhere from the hotel location.

NetherlandsRoom did bot have a window that looked outside - inner building corridor only. They do have rooms with outside views (check description before you book).
Friendly reception & staff (Theodore (reception) and Panagiotis (restaurant) in particular), great location, breakfast/restaurant with great view on the Acropolis. Delicious a la carte breakfast. Spacious room with great beds. Only a few minute walks to 2 metro stations for direct connection to the airport (EUR 9 each single way) and other parts of the city or Piraeus. Good to know: the hotel offers a paid shuttle service (EUR 60 for two) and has a restaurant on the top floor (which had (has?) 1 Michelin star).
