The hotel was amazing! The location and view couldn't have been better! The staff was really helpful. Our room was comfortable, spacious and very clean, all the toiletries were provided and of very good quality! There is a free car park located just next to the hotel. Will be definitely visiting again!

Great location, walking distance to most of the attractions in town. Anna was very friendly to help us before and during our stay in the hotel. Most importantly, the view from our room was magnificent! We enjoyed so much during our stay here. Definitely back here again if we ever come back to Chania!

We had the most amazing experience and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was so clean and so comfortable it was definitely home away from home. Will definitely come back and stay here! I am so impressed with how organized and clean this property was they made traveling with a baby so safe and comfortable. A baby crib ready and set up and a jacuzzi to fully enjoy and relax! Thank you to your wonderful staff for everything.

Wow! What a hotel room! Very luxurious, excellent bathroom, excellent bed. There was all you need in the room. Location was a little walk from the busy touristy centre - which was perfect. Nice view over the bay, the host was very friendly and informative.

It’s hard to find anything to fault with the hotel. The only small surprise was that breakfast is served at a separate location about a 10-minute walk away, which we hadn’t realised beforehand. To be totally honest, the menu there was quite limited, and the breakfast itself didn’t quite live up to the rest of our stay. We also thought it would have been lovely to have a couple of chairs and a small table on the balcony so we could sit outside and enjoy the view. That said, these were only minor points in what was otherwise a fantastic stay, and they certainly wouldn’t stop us from returning in the future.

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome thanks to Anna. She had already been wonderfully helpful over email before our trip, and in person, she was just as kind—always ready to answer our questions and share great tips about the local area. Anna even went the extra mile by arranging cakes and balloons in our room for Alex’s birthday—a thoughtful surprise that completely made his day. We also had the pleasure of meeting Spiros, the owner, who was equally attentive. He was always just a quick WhatsApp message away with helpful answers and excellent recommendations. The hotel itself was spotless and well-kept, and its location was perfect for us—just a short walk to the sea, as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. A truly welcoming stay from start to finish.

The only sad thing is I couldn’t spend more days there!

I have no words, from the moment Spiros received us, till we checkout, everything was perfect. The room was clean, spacious and bed is super comfortable! I’m in love with Chania, and this hotel, the comfort of a good hotel dose bring a difference to your travel experience! Thank you for everything.

Amazing hotel, exceptionally clean! We arrived late, however Mr Spiros was really kind and did the check in for us! The staff was approachable and happy to give advice about restaurants and trips! Just opposite to the hotel there is a very spacious car park, so didn’t struggle at all. Finally, the hotel view was breathtaking!!!

The location is the best part. It is less crowded and closer to the bustling old port area. The building is also close to the semi beach ⛱️ where you can swim in the shallow water and less crowd. You may not find sand but I liked it. There are coffee shops and restaurants around too. Highly recommend this place

In our humble opinion, this hotel is top-level — not just in Chania, but all of Greece. It’s modern, fresh, and in the best possible location — just 30 seconds from the sea. What truly fascinated us most were the people, especially the owner, who feels more like a good friend than a formal host. He’s kind, smiling, open, and genuinely warm. We’ll be coming back very soon — to this beautiful city of Chania, to this hotel, and to this amazing person. The room has a beautiful view of the public beach (located just next to the hotel) and the hotel is located right at the edge of old town. Extremely convenient to explore by foot. The room is spacious, very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy too as there is a huge open space next to the hotel with free parking. Anna and Spiros (owner of the hotel) were excellent hosts. They were very warm and approachable and took the time to recommended beaches and restaurants to check out. When we left the hotel, we forgot to bring our passports along. Spiros was very proactive, he contacted me via WhatsApp and assured me that he was working with a courier to get the documents back to us as soon as possible (we recieved them the very next day at Heraklion). All in all our experience with Theta Hotel has been great and very memorable! :)

There is some ongoing construction of some rooms in the hotel. This did not affect our stay and was great to hear Spiros’s family journey to build this hotel. Fantastic stay - thank you Spiros!

This lovely boutique hotel is perfectly located on the seafront and only a few minutes walk from the harbour front. The room was wonderful with large comfortable bed, good air conditioning, great jacuzzi bath and fantastic view over the sea.

A wonderful boutique hotel right next to the Old Venetian Harbor of Chania. Spotlessly clean, with exceptionally helpful staff and stunning sea views. Public parking was conveniently located just next door. Highly recommended!

The check-in experience was a little confusing. They don't have a reception desk and someone met us at the door. This could have been better explained in the pre-arrival instructions

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I hurt my back one day and they brought ice packs multiple times. They arranged to-go breakfast bags twice when we weren't able to make it to breakfast and went out of their way to find us a gluten-free sandwich. The room had a gorgeous view of the ocean and a nice terrace for watching the sunset. Parking is very easy.

The property was super clean and very well appointed. Decor was modern and tasteful. Its central location makes it an easy walk to the beach, cafes , restaurants and the old town.
